‧ ₊ ˚ ♡ MORE AND MORE.
with new preparations needing to be made for the month as their evaluation expectations are set, yet another stretch of time added to her ever expanding life as a special trainee under this new company, heejin is hopeful. while she’d been shocked at just how quickly a girl equally as new as she was secured a spot within this debut project, heejin feels no jealousy, or anger at being overlooked. no, instead, there’s fire under her feet thanks to the knowledge that, really, any of them could be next, including her.
that only strengthens her convictions to get familiar with the rest of the girls she’s not yet spent much time with, especially the two newest additions not just to the project, but to sphere itself. sure— in heejin’s eyes, this is all still very much a competition until the very end, but with how fairly she feels things are going, what’s the harm in getting a little close?
so, she strikes up conversion with mina first once a lull in activity slows, her legs burning nicely from the work they’d done in beginning to learn choreography. the younger seems nice enough, and strikes a familiar chord. heejin wants to see if she remembers her. “hey, mina,” she starts, an easy smile on her lips. “haven’t seen you in a while. how’s your first day going so far?”
                                                            ———— for you, @mxnark ♡

SPHERE ENTERTAINMENT was founded by BAEK JIYOUNG, a singer turned composer. despite the netizens' efforts to undermine her abilities, she has created a successful and phenomenal entertainment company based purely on creativity and raw talent. it seems now that netizens are finally willing to admit that the vocalists in her company are extremely talented and unique. Although not one of the top three entertainment companies known in the industry, Sphere Ent. is rapidly growing in popularity. The company has recently expanded their business to Japan and is now dominating most music charts and gaining positive public opinion.

YOUTUBE - @LHHCOVERS UPLOADED A NEW VIDEO            UNDER COVER COVER - BY HOHYEON, HARUTO,                                       MARK, LILY & SIYEON
@rkhyeon as byeongkwan @rkharuto as jun @rkmxrk as wow @rklily as donghun @siyeonrk as chan line distribution
over a month of planning and practices and hard work and finally they were ready to record this cover. if the mgas hadn’t come about, this would have been posted over a month ago and hohyeon would have moved onto some other venture. but maybe the extra time was a good thing, gave them all more time to prepare and practice for longer than he usually would and that might hopefully mean the quality was better. because mark his words, he was not going to upload anything until it was perfect - if only because he wanted to prove those dumb ceos wrong with what they said about him.
doing a vocal and a dance cover was not a new thing for him, having done one before, but doing it with a group was actually a new thing. and he wanted it to be perfect, so he had gone and bothered some of the theatre kids for some of the microphones they use during their performances. and while they were a little hesitant to lend them to him, eventually they had agreed so long as one of them could keep an eye on everything to make sure they didn’t get broken.
which was why there was now a bored looking kid sitting in the corner of the room on his phone. hohyeon was just going to pay him no mind, instead turning his attention to the four others gathered in the room.
haruto he had approached first, and honestly it had been a little hard to get the kid to agree, but he was thankful he finally had. mark was a familiar face and had featured in one of his videos before, so it wasn’t hard to get him to agree to do another. he had then asked lily after a debate with himself whether he really wanted her or not, and then lily had brought along siyeon. and that was how they were all standing there now ready to do this after all the hard work they had put into everything.
the camera was set up in the usual position at the front of the room, hyeon just fiddling with it one last time before he nodded to the rest of the group, fixing the microphone taped to the side of the face just to check that everything was in order. “right, let’s get this bread then,” he grinned as he spoke the english words, moving towards the middle of the room and quickly turning around from the camera to take up his starting position in the middle of the group as the others moved around him. and only once everything was in order did he signal to the helpful theatre kid (who was actually called hanbyul, but theatre kid sounded better) to press play on the music.
the choreo started with some sharp movements in time with the music, hohyeon tilting his head a little to the side before rolling it, looping his arms through haruto and siyeon’s arms. he has to basically rely on them not to drop him as he leaned back on them, though there was extra support from the other two has he finally tipped backwards. but he didn’t end up falling, which he was supposed was a good thing as they stood up again and hohyeon finally spun around to face the camera as he barrel straight into his first part.
ay girl i see you on the low low ay so hot she banging like a bongo let it go, got me strung like santana
mark was next to follow up with his own strong vocals, hohyeon having to smile just a little as he danced. it was no wonder the boy was a trainee, though it still made hyeon incredibly jealous just to think of that. but he supposed mark was talented and deserved the position, and all he could really do was hope that one day he would get his own chance to join a company and be a trainee. he needed it to happen one of these days.
it really was a high energy choreography with some very strong lyrics as they all participated in the chorus of the song, vocals blending in nicely with each other. as soon as the mv had dropped he had wanted to do a cover of the song, and now it was actually happening. and the boy was determined to do it all sorts of justice. he was used to rapping with a mic now after his short stint on the mgas, so it wasn’t as hard as he thought to keep his rap steady and powerful enough to be heard as he body moved in well practised and strong motions. and he trusted the others were doing the same, after the weeks of work they had put in he would hate to have to do this too many times because someone kept messing up.
step back, she toxic cock back and pop it 총에 맞은 가슴 쾅 뛰네 brat tat tat can't stop it 말 없이 다가가 널 멍하니 쳐다 봐 바보처럼, 버버버벅 니 앞에만 서면, dumb
mark followed him up again as hohyeon bent over, the choreo allowing the other rapper to control him and the others with his hand movements, standing him back up and turning him almost like a robot. but then he was bent over again, this time siyeon coming in with her own vocals as she leaned on him with an elbow. and he was pleased that the girl had eventually joined in with this project, he had been a little uncertain at first having never met the girl before, but she was clearly talented. and now he had absolutely no worries about the girl and her skill.
finally it was haruto’s turn and hohyeon just smiled softly at the boy as he sung his couple of lines. it was quite clear from the beginning that he didn’t really like performing in front of a camera, or in public at all, really. so he was rather thankful that the boy had agreed to this, and hadn’t backed out even after hohyeon had dragged him on the mgas with him. the japanese boy had talent and hyeon just wanted the world to see that and maybe, one of these days, haruto would realise it as well and stop being so nervous about everything. performing and singing on a stage was a good thing, not something to be frightened of.
the pace of the song and choreography was still slow as the moved towards the chorus, lily finally getting her own chance to shine. it was true that the two of them weren’t really friends at first, but now, the other girl had sort of grown on him over the time they knew each other. and while he still wouldn’t go as far as saying they were good friends, he could at least stand the girl a little better and didn’t incredibly mind hanging out with her.
things suddenly picked up again as they jumped into the chorus, the five of them mixing their vocals for the first three lines, hohyeon staying as strong as possible with his movements as he basically bounced around the place. and then it was dropping onto his knees, one arm over his face as they body rolled as lily sung her line. then haruto was the only one standing as he sung, hohyeon dropping to the floor, managing to stand up again without using his hands. it was a move he had practised a lot and used a lot when he was breakdancing, so it wasn’t much of a bother for him to get it. though he could see how others could struggle with it, but they had practised this, so it shouldn’t be a problem.
but after both mark and siyeon had a couple more lines to get through, hohyeon was in the middle of the group, bouncing on his feet as he started to rap his next part.
okay, tension 높아 뜨겁게 타올라 느낌 so high 불꽃같이 pop pop pop pop
and, once again, he was quickly followed up by mark as they were the only two standing. this was their centre stage moment, and honestly, the bit he had been worrying about the most. there had been more than one mistake in the practice room when going through this bit, including accidentally kissing each other when their heads turned a little too close to each other. hohyeon was just praying that it wouldn’t happen this time as well as he stood a distance from the other boy, only their wrists touching as they both straightened out their arms.
거부해야 해 지금 네 status 정신 차려야 해 기횐 단 한 번
he was close to mark now, standing just behind him, head almost resting on his shoulder as the other boy followed up with his own lyrics. and their heads were rolling towards each other, hohyeon’s hand almost brushing the boys cheek. thankfully there were no incidents this time, both of them stopping before they managed to make any lip contact. and there was no stupid laughing or pushing each other away this time, either. they actually managed to get through that but in one piece and hohyeon couldn’t be more thankful about it.
as siyeon started singing again it was a bit of downtime in the choreography, just a moment for them to catch their breath as siyeon moved through them, parting them like the red sea. and hohyeon was taking as much time as possible, keeping his breathing under control. they were more than half way through this song now, only the last bits to go and that was the end of his solo singing. all he had to worry about now was the rest of the choreography and keeping in tune with the others for the longer bits to come.
after lily’s lines they were back to the high energy chorus, the familiar and well practised choreography running in his head as his limbs moved in time with the music. he really did love dancing and really did love this song, it was a lot of fun to perform and he would do it again given the chance. maybe he would have to think a little more about doing more covers in groups instead of just focusing on himself. working with others, it wasn’t actually as bad as he thought it was going to be. no, it was fun, a bit of hard work, sure, but it was fun to be a team and actually produce something together. all the hard work paid off in the end.
moving into one straight line one behind the other, hohyeon waited for siyeon to finish her line before they all jumped out at different angles, crouched on the floor before slowly moving up, taking a step back to be close again. he popped his chest a couple of times with the music, moving to roll over the back of siyeon before dropping to his knees, pounding at the floor before standing again. now came the fun part, the part which made you feel completely worn out with no energy left. but this was the sort of dancing he loved, he could never do really slow and methodical dances, not for very long, anyway.
jumping forward again they were all dancing in a line, voices harmonizing together as they powered through the rest of the choreography. and he was sure this was going to look really cool when it came out on the video, the five of them dancing and working together to produce a great cover. it was the chance for people to realise that he did have talent, that he deserved to make it to the finals and get a contract just as much as everyone else did. they eliminated him too soon. and he was never going to stop believing that, not for as long as he lived. being a trainee was his only chance of making it out of the slum, for making a better life for him and his mother and he was not about to let that opportunity slip.
and when they all made a circle in the middle, hands in the centre, one on top of the other as they raised their arms together, hohyeon could do nothing but smile at them. he was thankful for each and every one of them because without them this cover would have never really made it off the ground.
there was only the last chorus left now and hohyeon was dancing just as strongly as he had in the beginning. though he was tired, chest heaving from the effort and sweat dripping from the brow, he felt satisfied, confident that he hadn’t put a foot wrong or said something incorrectly. this was probably going to be one of the best covers he had ever uploaded and he didn’t really know how he was supposed to surpass this next month. he would probably come up with something, he did have his eye on per_se and would quite like to cover their debut song simply because it was so good. but maybe he would think of something else.
siyeon was the one who closed them out with her vocals, a last couple of moves, a kick forward before hohyeon was throwing his head back to the ceiling as the music finally died down. only then did he slowly lower his head back to the front, raising his arms as if he were holding a huge weapon. and that’s the position they held for just a moment longer.
but that was the end of that, there was no more singing and no more dancing. it was over and he was sure they had all put in maximum effort. even theatre kid hanbyul had looked away from his phone and was now just sitting there and clapping at them. hohyeon just grinned. performing was everything to him and each time he did a cover it only solidified that dream in his head. one of these days he would get to stand on a stage and debut and let the whole world know his name.
this was who he was and nothing was going to change that.

●// who you
@rkmxrk
“fuck, sorry-“ is pretty much the only think jihoon can muster as he actually runs into someone as he turns around the corner, and even though it was him that almost flew back from the impact, he still feels bad. however, once he finally focuses on the figure it makes him blink, it doesn’t take long before he puts the face to a name.. or program,
“oh, you’re one of the kids from season 4-“ the idols says, or more correctly, blurts out before he can stop his mouth. it’s not a wrong statement really, at least in jihoon’s eyes, but you never know how someone would react to a) having an idol literally run into you and b) state a fact that could actually be wrong. however, it wouldn’t be the first time jihoon’s big mouth and honestly has gotten him into trouble.

★ AUGUST EVALUATIONS song : < eoeo (chinese ver.)  > by, uniq (lyric dist.) group members : @rksungho, @rkmxrk, @rkkhg
As the day for the evaluation arrived, Yuta was re-energised after spending a few days home in Japan and using up the last of his vacation before he lost it in September. There was an easily deniable excitement to return to training, after he’d spend nearly five days without having to deal with the coaches and other trainees -- Yuta preferring to excuse the feeling as curiousity if five days was enough for the other trainees to catch up to his level. In his opinion, they weren’t (but he always thought that, regardless). He spent a couple days after his return putting extra time into his Mandarin skills and securing his memory of every dance movement. Being front and center for the chorus and a few major dance parts meant that Yuta was pressured the right amount to put in the effort to perfect them.
There was a strong sense of confidence and comfort when his groups turn came up and he found his position in the center. His eyes darting aroung at Sungho, Mark and Hyunggu who finished out his group. All of them had been fun to prepare with (especially Sungho). They could handle the dance practices and the choreography, and they put in the time and energy to master the Chinese that came along with the lyrics. Yuta’s fingers combing through his hair as he peered over towards where the music would start to play and he felt the smirk tug onto his lips. Between the lyrics, the dance movements and the flash of his stomach which would come later -- this might have been the exact sort of performance Yuta lived for.
Slowly he turned with the beginning of the song, taking a few steps forward, jumping slightly from the floor and landing into a roll of his body to the floor. His red hair immediately messed around his face, and his knee sliding on the floor as he found his second placement.
E.O.E.O Throw away the shackles that imprison your mind Kio kio, the world will come to photography you Drunk in love come on, one shot Don’t try to suddenly disappear and run away It’s boring being alone and will drive me crazy Hurry and catch up, just hold on
The entirety of Yuta’s rap part was in the beginning of the song, taking steps and moving his arm, selling the meaning off the lyrics as best he could. He could still feel how some of the foreign language fell heavier on his tongue than he wanted, and it might have been a blessing that he had such a small section. For the rest of the performance he could focus on the choreography and trying not to sing any louder than necessary when the chorus came up with harmonisation with his other members. He was thankful that they had managed to lure Hyunggu into the group to cover Sungjoo’s part -- finding a capable dancer who could also sing was much more difficult than he realised. Especially when he usual choices were plucked away for debut or wanted to perform another language.
Hyunggu handled the second verse, and that was followed by Sungho and Mark covering the third verse which was the next rap sections. As they got further along in the song, Yuta could hear the voice of Johnny and Taeyong, asking him how he could let a young boy like Mark perform the upcoming dance section. Voices that he thoroughly ignored throughout practices and even more so on the day of the evaluation. He couldn’t be distracted, and Mark had seemed excited to show off the abs that he’d been working on. Yuta could understand that feeling.
It was why he liked the dance during the last chorus himself. Anticipated it.
His steps taking him from the right side to the left side, before he dropped to his knees. The movement of his knees, the body rolls as he got to his feet and his fingers catching on the hem of his shirt as he drew it up to secure between his teeth. Each one accumulating until he was rolling his hips towards the floor and then picking himself up with the same smirk he generally had when he was doing something that might make the more morally inclined squeamish. Yuta relished the feeling of anarchy as they gave up formations and choreography for hyping up around the stage, as if they had an audience that was bigger than the coaches and trainers.
An inconsequential rushed feeling keeping Yuta’s heart thumping steadily in his chest as he posed at the end with the other members and flashed the coaches a secondary wide smile. He’d done what they asked, what was required of him; he’d done it his own way and to his own delight. That was his favourite type of evaluation.

@rkmxrk
Due to being at sphere for a couple years she likes to look after to the ones who haven’t been here as long she has especially events like the green ribbon festival turn up as she was pretty lucky to get advice and help from trainees who been here much longer some even debuted now for example Hyun. She recalls when Hyun gave her advice about the christmas performance since it was really her first group performance out in the open in front of people. Thus she likes to do this to others to see how they are coping with this situation, Minhee found Mark wandering the halls of sphere taking the chance to talk to him about it. “My favorite golden boy, how are you doing? Are you excited about the green ribbon festival and the fact the trainees get their own special stage mmhm?” she questioned curiously wondering if he was feeling excited or anxious maybe a little of both no one would really know what goes inside someone else head.

HIDE & SEEK.
💌 @rkmxrk
after a rather filling breakfast and a bit of down time, saerom and her fellow trainees head into a quaint, themed village for today’s activity which is revealed as a game of hide and seek. saerom is immediately enthused, having played hide and seek a lot with her younger sister when they were both still kids. although it’s not that simple. it couldn’t be that simple, there always had to be a twist. it’s revealed that for the duration of the activity and onwards into the day, they would be tied to someone. so, twenty four hours tied to someone challenge only it wasn’t that.
okay.
she finds out that her partner for both hide and seek and the rest of the day’s activities is none other than sphere entertainment’s maknae, mark. saerom is a little ... nervous. she doesn’t really know mark and he doesn’t really know her either, so as to how this day go’s ahead is really going to depend on how patient they are with one another. saerom makes her way over to mark, hands tucked into the back pocket’s of her denim shorts. “hey,” saerom opens with, attempting to seem welcoming and friendly with a warm smile. “it’s mark, right? i’m ... saerom, if that wasn’t obvious.”
she doesn’t know how they’re going to go about being attached to one another. is it going to be a day of ... hand ... holding? are they going to be tied together at the ankle or perhaps the wrist. saerom purses her lips. “so, how did you wanna go about this? ankle? hand? wrist?”

❅:time to say hi.
from, ❆ ice princess written for, @rkmxrk (trainee)
there are plenty of faces all around the seocho building, including sphere trainees that she’s yet to introduce herself to. the ice princess kept her distance for far too long. the world’s vast, it’s best she expands her connections but she still struggles with her social skills despite her effort to push herself to meet people. so far, she’s only made a couple of friends. not too many that she can name at the count. but, it’s progress. she’ll accommodate overtime.
that isn’t an excuse for her to use though. to some of the newer trainees, angel should’ve been friendlier from the start. she should’ve welcomed them in warmly rather than observing others. the cafeteria seems to be the place where most of her friendships started. she spots a trainee who she’s encountered here and there but never said hi.
now’s the perfect time for this.
once she gathers her tray of food, she asks him politely before she actually sits down. for a cold person, she still wanted to remain respectful when it came to others’ privacy. “is it okay if i sit here..?”

ROYALs WHITE LOTUS April Evaluation 2019 Prank Reaction with @rkseokwoo @rkmxrk @rkdonghyun @rksowon @rkxluda
He felt like in the matrix, everything was moving in slow motion, when he saw a camera falling in the corner of his eyes. Kang Joon reacted fastly, trying to catched the falling equipment, just to realize that he was too late. The male looked to the side, Sowon who jumped and tried to catch one camera as well. Then he stared at the mess to their feet. While Donghyun and Luda froze and stared from the sidelines, Seokwoo rushed forward and straigthened up the smashed equipment. Shards were lying everywhere, and Kang Joon looked around. Nobody seemed to be injured which was relieving for a moment, just until the trainers rushed inside after hearing the loud collisions.
The yells shrilled in his ears and Kang Joon frowned. None of the trainers had evidence that one of them had toppled the camera equipment over. The screams were understandable, but not justified at all. He was steaming with anger, and had to hold back hard, to not scream back at them. The male was confident none of his group mates had done it, and that everything was just a huge accident their insurance would take care of. He saw Seokwoo and Donghyun stepping forward, bowing their heads and apologising, trying to take the blame on them, when neither of them was at fault. Since he couldn't exactly pick a fight with them, they were with the higher ups after all, Kang Joon remained silent as the others talked.
Kang Joon was fuming with madness, when the trainers told them to follow them into another room. The room was filled with other trainees and it made the situation even more irritating and confusing. Were they being punished in front the other's eyes? Would they serve as example?
A overhead screen was lowered and everyone stared at the recorded scenes, trying to put up together the pieces until the trainers simultaneously screamed "GOTCHA" and revealed that they tapped into a camera prank. But Kang Joon didn't felt like laughing at all.

well, well.
it had been ages since he had last seen mark, and the sphere building itself had been growing fuller and fuller with more and more trainees. keeping track of everyone coming in and out wasn’t easy, so it wasn’t a surprise that it hadn’t been until now that june was finally running into the younger boy. the last time he had seen him was the mgas, which felt like ages ago and only yesterday at the same time.
“well, if it isn’t our resident rapping wonder~” he was happy to see the younger male here, it was always nice to see a familiar face, though he hadn’t had too many issues making friends. not too many. he had seokwoo and seulgi, so could he really complain? “who knew you’d end up here in sphere? i was expecting to see you in trc with all of your skills and potential.” sphere was a breeding ground for creativity though, so perhaps it was a good fit after all.
“forgive me, but how long have you been in sphere? there’s so many trainees here, it’s hard to keep track of when they come in and leave, you know?” june had also been careful around the other trainees, especially the male ones. sometimes he got too anxious and just needed to keep his distance from them, and sometimes he was more social and prepared to deal with the cutthroat nature of the trainee world. “i hope everyone’s been treating you well so far.”

SSKT Filming - Group A
Date: March 17, 2019 Filming with: @rkxtae || @rkmxrk || @rkjaemin || @rkhaechan || @yuzurk || @rkchaewon Concept: Classroom Song playing: Shinhwa - Wild Eyes
His first reaction upon receiving the mail back had been disappointment. The word ‘extra’ weighed much more heavily on his mind than he liked it to -- it didn’t really have that cool sound of lead role. It wasn’t going to get people turning their heads and ask him if ‘he wasn’t Eric Sohn from that commercial’ and that ‘he was so cool’. But after weighing it with the alternative of complete rejection, he supposed his current role was alright. It was better than not getting a role at all, and he supposed he just had to start somewhere, build up his influence. Who knew what places acting in a commercial could bring him? In fact he supposed that he should thank the fact that he had even been considered despite having no experience whatsoever.
Come the day of the shooting, Eric could feel his annoyance with the fact that he had to spend a Sunday on this rise. Why couldn’t it have been an ordinary school day so he could have been excused from classes for the day? Probably because of how young the actors in his group seemed to be honestly and the fact that a lot of students would have had to be excused, but the point still stood. If anything he could take joy in the fact that the world hadn’t been unfair enough to let his brother film on another day and that they were in the same situation, as he might have felt very mistreated if Dowoon got to take the day off and not him.
Either way introductions had to get out of the way and to his surprise Eric had found a face that he had been working together with very recently for a dance cover, Chaewon, and a face that he was sure he had seen before, Minhyung, or, as he had introduced himself, Mark. It had taken a while to remember as it was quite far back and the time surrounding it had been very tumult to Eric, but eventually he had placed the other as someone he had been in a group with in the MGAs, and immediately he had felt incredibly stupid for not realising right away the moment he heard the name Mark.
Recognition however also erased all senses of jealousy he might have felt towards one of the people who did actually get picked for lead role, because in an instant he had already forgotten about his feelings on the matter and instead started to hang around the older male like a leech. ‘Mark hyung,’ the name had been repeated several times and countless of questions had been shot the other’s way, as had comments on how cool he was and also a few on how jealous Eric was, as he too wanted to see North America. Of course his fear of planes was a minor issue, but he would deal with that when the time came. If the time came. It had to. One day.
Although every actor in his group was still young, Eric took the crown as the youngest of the lot, and although he had already started high school, he had only had half a month to get used to the ways and workings of being a high school student. Even more so the fact that he had to pretend to be classmates with these hyungs and noonas, some of who were four years older than he was and a noticeably more adult. As much as he would like to believe himself to be more mature than he actually was, both his height and his baby fat singled him out, especially next to people such as Taehyung. Perhaps that too was why he decided to stick so much around Mark who wasn’t that much older than him and definitely not that much taller either.
The scene briefing was really to the point and if there was one thing Eric had confidence in it was his ability to make great expressions, so this was going to be a piece of cake he felt. Maybe acting was his call all along instead of his brief attempt at a modelling career, because in this kind of thing he at least got to be expressive, which had been what had them reject him in the first place when he tried to audition. Without much ado, he sat in his assigned position, waiting for the cue to lean in and try catch a glimpse of the small screen that would show the game. He had full faith that he could do this beautifully, even as a mere extra.

— crash, bang, wallop
@rkmxrk
There was a sense of pride that remained whenever Seokwoo managed to successfully finish an evaluation, and more so, when he could do it with a group. Each one of them training hard and coming together to perform something he thought was good for a months work. His heart was still racing from the exertion of the choreography, especially the dance break that came in the latter half of the song. Despite the hesitations of some of the members, he thought they’d done well -- and he’d thought he’d managed to catch the camera more than once while they performed. A smile was on his lips as he glanced over at Sowon, something he quickly hide  when they were instructed by one of the coaches to stay in the room. Seokwoo bowing his head in recognition, shoulders relaxing as he watched the cameramen file out.
He’s half-turned around, preparing to congratulate his group on their efforts when the first noise echoes through the room. Seokwoo’s eyes widening, twisting his head around to watch each camera topple into the next one -- as if it were in slow motion. Lead seemed to fill his entirety as he stood there in shock, barely able to register if he was breathing or not, and physically cringing as his mind caught up with what was happening. The cameras were falling, breaking, smashing onto the floor, one by one. Seokwoo’s lips parted in awe, the last one of the camera’s slamming into action as he rushed forward, arms out stretched and more than a few seconds late in stopping anything from happening. His voice falling silent as he immediately tries to lift one of the damaged cameras and set it up right, only noticing the coaches bursting in when one of them speaks up.
“What happened here?”

this really shouldn’t be that hard, so hohyeon didn’t know why he felt so close to having a breakdown.
the cover was his whole idea, he had organized it, asked the people he wanted to do it with (and also got some outside help when he ran out of people to ask) and preparing had been going well. as a group they had managed to get in a couple of practice sessions. and then the mgas had happened and everything was put on hold. but not anymore. they had decided to eliminate him, meaning that he now had the time and the gang was back together to try and get back into the swing of things so this cover could be recorded and posted by the end of the month.
he had hijacked one of the spare rooms at sopa during a lunch break, in nothing but his shirt and trousers - the rest of his uniform slung over the back of a chair. and he wasn’t alone, eyes turning towards mark. they were here to practice this one part of the song, one part where they needed to get rather... close to each other. and that was probably the reason hohyeon found himself in a crisis at the moment.
“right,” he announced, running a hand back through his dark hair, “want to just take it from the top? or do you want to practice first without music? just to get a feel of it, i suppose.”

— under my wing
starter for @rkmxrk !
he doesn’t quite believe his eyes when he spots a familiar face halfway long one of the long corridors in the sphere building, confusion and mild terror on the short boys face. for a moment, ten wonders whether mark had snuck in, or been brought in by a friend and lost them. he’d been too busy to keep up with all his friends lives recently, and had, much to his displeasure, not checked in much with mark since the mgas. he knew mark was devastated afterwards, but ten had been busy, and not really in the best place to be emotional support for anyone at that time. even though it wasn’t really his fault he wasn’t able to help, he still felt guilty. mark was so young, so hopeful, and he’d been knocked down so publicly that ten wanted to smack every single person who hurt his feelings.
striding over, parting the trainees around him like the red sea almost (being a debuted idol had it’s perks), he found his way over to mark quickly, winding an around around his shoulders and beaming at him. “markie! what are you doing here?” he notices that mark’s grown since he last saw him in person, and his heart aches with affection for the younger boy. “here, come with me.” he doesn’t really care why mark’s there, he’ll find out soon enough, but for now he wants to get him away from the scrutinising gaze of other trainees still lingering in the corridor.
he wonders whether maybe mark was signed, and his heart soars with hope that that’s indeed the case. he’d wanted mark to get into a company he knew someone in so he could tell (threaten) them to look after him. he knew johnny would have looked after mark well had he been in kt, and or jaehyun in royal, orsicheng or yuta in trc (though he worried about yuta’s influence on the younger boys sometimes). but, having mark there in sphere where ten could keep an eye on him himself, and ask seokwoo to keep an eye on him when ten was busy with convex stuff, made him feel so much better - if in fact that was the case.
finding an empty classroom ten tugged mark inside, nudged him to sit down in the nearest seat, then instinctively ruffled his head as he perched himself on the table beside him. “so, tell me why you’re here. it better be because sphere signed you or i’ll cry. i’ve been waiting for my little mark to show everyone what he’s made of.”

➟「走る男」running man。
@rkmxrk
It had finally come down to the last week of this crazy month in the Sphere building. Separated from his peers in other companies it was only in the hallways of Seocho that he had heard that everyone were going through these ludicrous procedures. First week he had thought insane – learn three dances in such a short span of time? – but it had soon been revealed what the true purpose of the month had been and that had only caused Youngjae to frown. He was an artist and he was a singer – not some happy-go-lucky element for other people to find amusement in through the concept commonly known as ‘variety’ and more than anything he thought of it as utter bullshit.
But if they were going to put him through it, he was too competitive to back down. Especially when everyone had been gathered in the company building to recreate an episode of the infamous ‘Running Man’ he found himself strangely motivated. Whether or not he had any actual chances of winning he had no idea, but he at least had no intention of going down easily.
But with the area as huge as it was, it took time to find any fellow ‘competitors’. Spotting some other trainees prowling around on occasion, he never saw his chance to strike and now found himself walking around in solitude. Or so he thought until the squeak of a sole against the floor alerted him and Youngjae spun around on the spot and reached out in an attempt to grab whoever was behind him and chuck them towards the floor.
