Sostituzione 10/4 effettuata nel dicembre del 1969 in un pioppeto lungo la Riviera del Brenta

...Intorno alle ricerche americane della Land Art, Olivotto è certamente ben informato: ha contatti a New York con Sidney Janis, con Castelli, conosce l’opera di Dan Flavin che usa il neon in spazi interni. Nel 1970 Tonino De Bernardi, altro grande protagonista del cinema sperimentale in Italia, si offre per filmare un intervento urbano di Olivotto presso il Parco del Valentino a Torino. Questi segni, chiamati specificatamente Sostituzioni e preceduti da altri lavori in relazione con l’ambiente esterno (sul bordo di un’autostrada, in un aeroporto, all’interno di contesti urbani) vengono collocati ad esempio in un pioppeto. Sostituendosi al ramo di un albero, un tubo di plexiglass alto 9 metri e illuminato internamente instaura con l’ambiente un connubio suggestivo, rinnovandolo e rendendolo ancora più vitale. Lo stesso artista racconta che l’idea è venuta improvvisamente, di ritorno da un viaggio mentre percorreva in solitudine un’autostrada tedesca fiancheggiata da boschi12. La sostituzione in natura prevede una prima fase di ricerca di un albero dall’andamento regolare, in modo che l’elemento artificiale si inserisca senza disturbare la percezione globale. In seguito tutta l’operazione sostitutiva viene documentata fotograficamente, registrata rigorosamente in modo che l’opera viva, oltre che nella realtà, anche nella sua rappresentazione in immagine. Non a caso e in analogia con l’ambiente scientifico, chiama le sue opere “ricerca”, “indicazione”, “affermazione”, “sostituzione”. L’intento di Olivotto è di segnare la terra, attestando la presenza artistica con un gesto estetico che non la alteri in alcun modo, nonostante la relazione con la tecnologia. La sua è un’esigenza di misurazione, che passa «per l’esigenza di intrecciare il mondo artificiale, metrico, ordinato, con quello naturale, caotico, terrestre fino a sostituirsi lentamente ad esso […]»13. In sintonia con la metodologia adottata dalla poesia visiva, connessa alle teorie gestaltiche (pensiamo alle cancellature di Emilio Isgrò), Olivotto attribuisce alla luce al neon il valore di tracciato spaziale, comunicando il dato naturale in una progressiva liberazione del gesto operativo che conquista lo spazio, la natura, l’ambiente e anche il tempo.

IDD inaugurated the new Virtual Showroom on the occasion of the summer event “MoonLight Party” held on July 27 at the company’s headquarters. The new immersive room is part of IDD’s digitisation project funded by Simest’s PNRR Funds. Thanks to the augmented reality AR software you can access in the immersive room, both remotely and in the IDD digital home, through oculus or video, the various show rooms in 3D and see the footwear designed by IDD in an enlarged size like never before. This new working tool will allow IDD customers to use the digital show room both as a showcase and as a virtual proto review. The next step will be the digitization of the traceability of the footwear prototyping process from design to its industrialization. Simultaneously the realisation of the digital twin of the prototype and its commercialisation as NFT in digital platforms and in the Metaverse. During the “MoonLight Party” the guests were therefore able to live the experience of augmented reality in the virtual showroom created in collaboration with PopLab, EZlab Blockchain Solution and Sid – scuola italiana design who contributed to the realisation of the project coordinating the various phases. Next step of IDD’s 3D team will be participation in an event by partner Weev during Lineapelle, where guests will be given the opportunity to have an immersive experience. The evening of the Moonlight party was characterised by an extraordinary blend of excitement, first-rate entertainment and many special guests and in particular the presence of the Cav. Luigino Rossi, a man who is a symbol of the Riviera del Brenta and a representative of the footwear sector in Italy and abroad. During the evening, CEO Francesco Pilli, together with Chief Designer Massimo Giussani and Vice President Gianni Ceccato, honoured the champions of the “Biathlon” tournament, a table football and darts tournament, which has engaged IDD employees over the last two months. In addition, employee creativity was emphasised by honouring the winners of the ‘Industry of Ideas’ competition, an internal initiative to promote innovation and gather suggestions for company improvement. The brightest ideas received special accolades, demonstrating the company’s commitment to valuing and incentivising the talent of its collaborators. CEO Francesco Pilli, took the floor during the evening to thank all those present for their contribution to the success of the company and for the incredible participation in the MoonLight Party. She emphasised the importance of creative talent, true DNA of the company that combined with the ongoing innovative and digital development will be the keys to the company’s growth in the coming years. The festivities continued with the live band ‘GoodBoys’ that warmed everyone’s hearts with their immersive music. The dancefloor was then stormed by DJ Paulsoundesign who sparked guests late into the night with his breathtaking musical selections. The ‘MoonLight Party’ was not just an event to celebrate the summer, but a symbol of the commitment, creativity and passion that distinguish the value and talent of the IDD team.

Villa Pisani

Villa Pisani a Stra (Venezia) è l’ultima delle tre ville della Riviera del Brenta che ho visitato ed è la più grandiosa. La villa fu edificata nella prima metà del Settecento dalla nobile famiglia Pisani di Santo Stefano e venne concepita non solo come luogo di villeggiatura ma soprattutto come dimora di rappresentanza per celebrare la propria potenza economica e politica. In periodi successivi ebbe diversi proprietari tra i quali Napoleone e gli Asburgo ed ospitò personaggi come il re di Spagna Carlo IV, lo zar di Russia Alessandro I, il re di Napoli Ferdinando II, Wagner, D’Annunzio, Mussolini, Hitler e Pasolini.

Imponente e di grande fasto, oggi è anche un museo nazionale che conserva arredi e opere d'arte del Settecento e dell'Ottocento nelle sue numerose stanze (attualmente sono 168) che sono denominate in base all'utilizzo o all'ospite di riguardo che vi soggiornò. 

Senza dubbio le sale che più mi hanno colpito sono state l’appartamento napoleonico e l’ampio salone da ballo decorato con un bellissimo affresco del Tiepolo.

Anche il parco è davvero molto scenografico e non a caso ha vinto il premio “Parco più bello d’Italia” nel 2008: nei circa 10 ettari troverete un’elegante Coffee House, serre tropicali, orangerie, statue e diversi giochi di prospettiva come quello tra vasca centrale e le scuderie sullo sfondo oppure tra l’esedra e le gallerie di glicine ai lati. 

Se volete divertirvi un po’, potete addentravi nel famoso labirinto, uno dei più grandi d’Europa, per raggiungere la torretta centrale dove si trova la statua di Minerva.
