favorite headcanon and songs for Char/Haxby if you're still doing it!

my headcanon is basically the way I initially analyzed the relationship lol since haxby’s arc was very suddenly nonexistent in the last 2 episodes or so…and he was no longer the character I was invested in or cared about. BUT. my headcanon is basically the lost potential from the earlier episodes - Haxby realizing they aren’t so different in terms of being put upon and harassed by their superiors and having had a good long think about the way he’s seen the girls live and the way they support each other (what else was really the point of that scene with Mary) begrudgingly covering for her so she can have a bit more freedom. he wouldn’t say WHY but there would be an unspoken understanding between them as to his change in heart. 

I have a whole playlist for them here, and I think my favorite songs for them on there would be There, There by Radiohead and Death by Diamonds and Pearls by Band of Skulls. Cardinal Song by The National too, for an iteration of the relationship that unfortunately never manifested.
