I only just learned the news about him tonight, and I’m shocked. I don’t really know what to say other than to this day he stands out as one of the most beautiful male dancers the show ever had.

This dance may seem like a strange choice to share with its fast-paced, odd nature, and that quick peck that doesn’t really fit, but it’s one that I remember him so clearly leaving me in awe in. It’s just a fraction of what he was capable of. He just glides.

Who would have thought losing an angel would be so devastating. But feeling it through your children, it's even more. ~Danny TIDWELL WALL~ I've known this kid since he was very young and so talented. I used to go to the gym, which was next door to his mom's Dance Studio in the 90s (@denisewallsdancenergy) and I would see this kid practice everyday after i work all night in the studio, saying to myself he's keeping the same hours. If I can remember I did a tap dance session with his mom oh, and he came and demonstrated a routine, and I was floored by his professionalism at a very young age. Sad time for us all where we need to lift eachother up, because you all know tomorrow is not promised. My condolences to the Wall family, Virginia dance Company. Miss Denise, I just want to say I commend you for raising such an amazing kid who grew up to be one of the most talented architects of the Dance world! Bless up to you sister, Travis & the family!!! Travis Wall just posted on his instagram that his brother passed away yesterday. I am absolutely heartbroken for him and his family. His brother - Danny Tidwell - was also one of my favorite dancers and my heart hurts that his life was cut so short. Danny was an absolutely phenomenal dancer and bought so much joy and passion to the stage. I was fortunate enough to take a ballet class with him many years ago when I was dancing and the joy and passion you saw on stage, he brought into the classroom. That was one of THE HARDEST ballet classes I had ever taken, but it was also one of THE BEST classes I had ever taken. Danny’s joy, love, and passion for ballet, and dance in general, was infectious. That one class with him reignited my passion for ballet in a way that nobody had in quite some time. Him reminded me why I loved ballet so much and why I was pursuing it. The dance world has lost another incredible artist and dancer.

RIP Danny. Fly high and keep dancing.
