"seems so." she manages a wry little smile. "i need some time alone. too many people. too many alchemists. too many accidental poisonings..." she adds one more cube of sugar for good measure, then downs the drink while barely wincing.

she's silent for a moment, then tilts her head a bit. "...rin...it is quite a sudden thing to ask you but...but could you tell me where i could find good flowers around here...?"

"ah, i get that... wait, accidental poisonings?" she frowns, ".... you're okay, right? do i need to call a doctor??"

meirin' raises her eyebrows, seemingly perplexed at the question, but her expression soon falls into a thoughtful frown, "flowers, huh? i mean, i usually just get them from the market near my house as i shop for groceries, but i've heard of a few florists around this area that has quite a selection of flowers. why, are you planning to give it to someone, perhaps?" her eyes twinkles a little.

Bahaar seems to like dropping by at this particular teashop, ordering the usual Darjeeling with milk and sugar ( ...a concerning amount of sugar, really ). "Hello Madame Rin." She greets with a stray hum. "I hope you and your husband arr well?"

"miss bahaar!" meirin leans down to give the woman a one-armed hug and wordlessly side-eyes the concerning amount of sugar she's stirring in the steaming cup. perhaps it's a good thing zhongli isn't tagging along today, lest he grimaces at the sight. "my husband and i are faring well! but more importantly, how are you? are you alone today?"
