might do some pair the spares shit with rin and pattadol just to see what happens, but probably after i reread dungeon meshi. there were a LOT of characters i didnt connect with the first time blowing thru it, pattadol and rin being two of those. itd be part of a wider arc of her kind of laying her crush on kabru to rest bc he finally nuts up and tells her he doesnt feel the same way, and he kept that to himself bc he didnt want to hurt her but hes realized it was selfish and hes strung her along all that time and he has to tell her bc he loves her yadda yadda some sappy shit i love to write. i think itd be almost like a rebound thing, but also an exploration of the conflict in their mentalities--pattadols demeaning and patronizing attitude towards the short-lived races that lead to the kind of intense trauma rin experienced from elves. obviously as ambassador to this tall-man led kingdom she needs to be challenging that and realizing the harm that attitude can do. well see if we can have "never thought id die side by side with an elf. how about with a girlfriend?" or if rin blows her up WE WILL SEE
