Ngl it is reassuring to know that there are people who can relate to me… But it really sucks doesn’t it :/ Although I’m fluent in both languages, I feel for you more because you must feel like you’re missing out on so much not being able to speak in your mother tongue :( I’m sorry to hear that anonnie.

THIS IS ME!!! Actually I can fully understand 4 languages and am considered fluent in about 3 of them, but can only fully speak 2 of them…  But I can fully understand every single language it’s just that my fluency then starts to differ within the respective verbal and written language fields. Me too, honestly I have Pakistani relatives right? Even though I am Bangladeshi, say I want to talk to an elderly but that elderly can only speak urdu, I can understand them perfectly but I can’t reciprocate at the same level and that sucks 😭but I feel more terrible because as a Bangladeshi, I should promote my own language too but I never seem to, because all my tags are in urdu and vice versa.

Ahh, ignore this sorry but I’m so glad I can relate to you so much and I feel your struggle man, the tough life of being multilingual 😅
