HOMICIDE IN HESSEN: “A Kurd from Cologne” - relationship crime? The mystery of Rimbach A sigh of relief in Rimbach: the police were able to put an end to a hostage situation in a Volksbank branch. A 36-year-old man had threatened a woman with a knife or screwdriver. The perpetrator was arrested, the hostage remained unharmed. Neighbors reported that he was a Kurd from Cologne who had been living in the area for two years and was stalking a woman from the neighborhood. The crime may have been committed out of frustration over unrequited love. The police are now investigating the exact circumstances and the perpetrator's motive.

Finnish hard rock band Rimbacher releases the debut album "High Hopes On The Rocks" next month. The album presents classic AOR vibes, 80's stadium rock sized attitude, and some straight forward hard rock and roll. The skilful band seasons their music with spices like powerful vocal harmonies, catchy melodies and classical art of guitar heroism.

The album features the singles Chasing Ghosts, Cocaine Eyes & Nicotine Stains, Last Breath Of Rock 'n' Roll and Loving You (Is Loving A Broken), which all showcase the band's recognisable but delightfully diverse output.

Rimbacher consists of professional musicians and has a reputation as a tight and fierce but professional live band. Over the past year, they have won over rock fans as opener for Michael Monroe's Demolition 23 and played many Finnish festivals.

The song "Worldkiller" is a high-octane, cascading number that brings the explosive feel of the Sunset Strip stylishly into this millennium. The song is a critique of the moulds of modern society and the power brokers who promote the destruction of the world.

Singer Niko Rimbacher says, "The narrator of this piece refuses to go into the moulds that social conservatives try to put people in. The song emphasises individualism and thinking with your own brain. All beauty is lost when those in power destroy the world under the guise of their own interests."

The band doesn't hide its influences, nor does it keep its raucous guitar heroics under wraps. In addition to the two solo guitarists, Niko, a singer known as a multi-instrumentalist, has also decided to play guitar.
