Miss Kajal came to us for freedom from spectacles. Her spectacle power was -8.50 DS/ -4.00 dc X10  in the right eye and -9.00 DS/ -4.00 DC x170  in the left eye.  Dr. Ikeda Lal explained that LASIK surgery is not possible for her due to a high number. She was advised to undergo ICL (STAAR) surgery. She comes from a humble background and could not afford this imported phakic lens procedure. So, she underwent  Refractive Implantable Lens (RIL) procedure. This is a phakic lens made by Appaswamt Associates, India. Here, we would like to share our first experience with this phakic lens. After the surgery, her vision is  6/6,  and now she is very happy. Let’s see what she has said about her experience with us.
