Kieran (or Kili as he likes to be called) was rushing to get to the bus with his bow and arrows.  He’s not late for his class, at least not yet, but he doesn’t have a car and it’s definitely way too far to walk so he’s running to catch up with the bus.  He was so close to catching it but he got distracted for a split second and then BAM. . .bumped straight into the man that distracted him, knocking them both down.  “I’m sorry !  I’m so sorry !”  He says and rolls off him, trying to collect his arrows.  “I was jus’ rushing and I completely got distracted and didn’t see ya.”

Christian, a grown man in a suit, was sitting by the edge of a pond with a few buns in hand, hand feeding ducks. He was slouched over a bit, almost curled into himself, with the body language of a frightened child. In reality it wasn’t Christian at all, but Sloth, doing his daily ritual on the demons way home from work. He hummed a small tune to himself, the ducks coming over, all his usual favorites there. “I l-l-l-like th-the sm-small brow-brown one...” He whispered to himself, tossing it a piece of bread, unaware of the person behind him.

If white muns use these face claims, they get yelled at and called out for using them, so some people probably feel a little stuck.

while i do see the point you’re trying to make and respect this opinion and can def understand where you’re coming from with this, i do have a lil comment or two.

first of all, to my knowledge at least, no one has ever said that white muns aren’t allowed to use or provide resources for these face claims period. my problem with white muns playing black characters, incorporating black people into their concepts and characters and just providing resources for black and poc face claims in general is that generally, y’all don’t know your fucking shit. y’all have this tendency to portray black characters based off of stereotypes and things that the media has put out into movies — such as over-sexualizing and fetishizing these characters (often based on their skin color which is WACK), trying too hard to make them seem more “hood” by appropriating and often misusing aave, giving them gross back stories or ridiculous names or just being borderline racist through your characters. THAT shit has to stop. 

another thing is that there have been at least two guides written by black people on how to play black people and not be gross and nasty and racist! all the shit you write up for your little susies and your brads can probably be played using a black face claim — but even then, sometimes y’all make susie and brad do some pretty gross shit. but write black people into your fantasy/sci-fi narratives. make some black supernatural characters by doing your fucking research on the cultural background of a certain supernatural group such as witches or even write them as mythological gods and goddesses. the main reason why y’all get yelled at and called out for using black face claims is because y’all think its the gateway to saying nigga and using aave and stereotyping the hell out of your characters and not even doing them justice by giving them a goddamn interesting back story. but if a white mun was to honestly be smart and either read one of the guides or ask for tips on how to portray a black character without playing into stereotypes or being racist then honestly, i aint got a problem with it. kudos to you.

now, you may ask: but raja :/ i’m really just not comfortable doing that and dont wanna offend anybody. what else can i do to help with representation in the indie/gen. rp community?

MAKE SOME FUCKING RESOURCES THAT DON’T WHITEWASH THESE FACES.

make an icon pack! make a gif pack! make some of those cute little aesthetic graphics or doodle icons using some black faces! turn to these face claims so there’s not a carbon copy of dove cameron and ariana grande and selena gomez and all them other face claims that y’all run towards without a second thought! there are ways to diversify without exactly creating a black muse, and i also made that post not just to yell at u guys for using racist people all the damn time but so the lot of us who DO rp or want to rp as these faceclaims have some fucking resources to use.

tl;dr: if u wanna play a black character, then make sure you do some fucking research and truly know your shit before you even think about it. if you genuinely dont want to offend anyone but still see how this is a problem, then just do us a favor and make us some damn resources that aren’t whitewashed.

Extra Time (closed)

Rainy days at the cafe were Sophia’s favorite. Everything there was to rain- the sound, the smell, the sight of it, made the room so much more relaxing and comforting. She didn’t blame the people who would just sit and stare out the window as they drank their drinks and ate their food. It was peaceful. However, it had to come to an end eventually and as the day ended, Sophia had to start reminding the customers to finish up. It was her second time around and all but one customer had left. The man was obviously engrossed in the book he was reading but Sophia was going to have to play the bad guy and ask him to leave.

“Sir?” She said gently as she approached him, “I’m afraid I need to close and you need to get going.”

Based on this plot. @rileywalkerrp.

What business did the government have in the private affairs of its citizens Stella couldn’t quite fathom. One moment she was sitting in her office minding her own business, the next she was being summoned to the government office only to be informed that she has been assigned a spouse. Her first reaction had been shock which slowly melted to give way to slight annoyance before she realised that she didn’t quite mind it. She was being spared the hassle of having to find someone and given her failed relationships due to her workaholic nature, it was a pretty convenient deal.

As she reached the room where she knew her betrothed was waiting, Stella felt a bit of hesitation. What if he didn’t like her? Or vice versa. However, she didn’t get much time to ponder upon as her next step was across the threshold, dressed on point as she always did, six inch stilettos clicking smartly as she approached the tall man. Nothing too gaudy or flashy but, fashionable despite being formal. Stella wasn’t the sort to brag or obsess about brands and such but, whatever she wore or carried was always the latest.

“Hello, Mr. Thorne,” she greeted the man with a warm smile, hand outstretched for a shake. “I’m Stella Wells.”

Now that we got the basics out of the way, I’d like to put out a search for a partner or partners! I’m going to try and keep things short and sweet because I tend to ramble. Let’s get this going!

Basics

I’m looking for an active, long-term partner(s) who won’t end up ghosting or bailing. I understand that sometimes muse runs away and that it isn’t there, but at least send a message to let me know what’s going on! I won’t be upset if you want to drop what we have, I promise! I only want to roleplay with someone 19+ just to be safe. I will not write with anyone underage. 

Personally, I tend to double up or do two threads so we can each play against an FC that we want to play against! We can do two threads/plots or do one plot/thread and each play two characters (or more, I’m down for whatever!) I love to plot and talk OOC about our ships, plots, and things. I am totally up for sharing memes, gifs, head canons, the works.

I am a ship and thread whore so if you want to do 50 plots, by God, we will do 50 plots. If you want to come at me in my inbox and scream a plot to me, do it! I tend to do paragraphs, multi paragraphs at times, but I will never be upset if you don’t match length. As long as there is a few lines at least, and there is something for me to go off of, I’m okay.

I’m a sucker for fluff, angst, and smut. I also love to do some “darker” plots, but nothing too crazy. I don’t really have any specific plot ideas in mind, but I do have two wishlists on my RP pages that I can link you if you want to give a look to them!

Kenzie quietly opened the door to the bakery, not wanting Isaiah to get distracted from his class. She was always the first to arrive early. Isaiah had found a love in baking and he constantly wanted to bake at home. The only problem was that Kenzie lacked both passion and skill. However seeing how her little boy’s eyes lit up whenever he took his baked goods home forced Kenzie to learn as much as possible without anyone catching onto her misfortune. The patter of little feet signified the end of class. Soon the other parents were trailing in behind ready to take their children home. Kenzie weaved through the crowd until she spotted Isaiah, his smile wide. Luckily he was standing near the teacher which allowed her yet another excuse to ask question. She handed her son his coat and gloves, leaving him to his own devices while she gathered her courage. “Excuse me? Mr. Micah? I have a few more questions I’d like to ask this week. If that is alright with you. I know I’ve been nagging you with these, but they just keep coming up every time I make cookies. Or I suppose when Isaiah does.”

Troubled waters┊Calvin & Stella

Inspired by plot

Usually, Stella was a considerate person who preferred to not inconvenience others. She had informed Calvin that she was going out to meet a friend at her place. However, what she hadn’t counted on was staying the night. Now, under other circumstances she’d have at least texted Calvin to inform him that she’d be staying over but, being tipsy and really engrossed in catching up with her friend, it had slipped her mind.

When she woke up in the morning, with a hangover, there was a message from her boyfriend informing her that he’d be waiting for her outside. Not quite realising that she was in trouble, she hurried up with wishing her friend a goodbye and raced down to see that Calvin was, in fact, waiting for her there.

“Morning, Cal” she chirped with a little sheepish but largely bright smile even though, her furrowed brows were a clear indication that she had a slight headache. “Thank you so much for coming to pick me up,” she said warmly, sliding into the adjacent seat before leaning in to plant a kiss upon his cheek. “How are you?”

Strip Club Girl // Starter.

Caden was sure that girls in his father’s strip club were handled properly. Recently, the girls had a introduced a couple new ladies. Caden was in charge of the whole club under his father’s order. He walked backstage to see the girls, gorgeous as always. “Are you ready to go on?” He turned to a girl who he’s never seen before, “She’s new?” He asked one of the girls who he knew well. “What’s your name, doll?” He questioned, turning to the girl with limited amount of clothes on.

Caden often had to pick his battles, it was difficult to be around so many gorgeous girls in hardly any clothing but he stood his ground - so far.
