The only reason Lydia was out at the moment was to pick up some medicine. She figured she’d give Stiles a break from having to do it, but Lydia really hoped she could get to the store and back without running into someone she knew. Of course this was Beacon Hills and she was Lydia Martin so that was impossible. As Lydia was heading to her car on the way out of the store she spotted a familiar blonde banshee and her heart sank into her chest. Of all the people to see, it had to be Riley. The only other banshee she knew of besides Meredith. The banshee she helped teach and train. It made anger wash all over Lydia’s body. Riley hadn’t done anything wrong but Lydia was furious. She was furious that she spent time helping people like Riley with their powers only to have hers taken away from her. And she certainly did not want to speak with the other girl. Lydia ducked her head down but she heard Riley call Lydia’s name so she knew she’d been spotted. The strawberry blonde paused for a moment as she contemplated but then kept walking to her car until she felt someone stop her. Lydia turned around, fake smile on her face. “Riley, hey. Didn’t see you there.” They had made eye contact so it was a blatant lie but Lydia didn’t exactly care.

sweet dreams: are you happy?
“The best that I can be under the circumstances surrounding the town right now. I’m trying to make sure that I do things to make me happy - even if they are little. I have Lydia, my dad, Scott...and so many people I call friends. I’m doing good.”

✺ - Something your muse finds pretty
Kaiden wouldn’t usually admit to finding most anything ‘pretty,’ but he’s always loved the natural beauty of Beacon Hills - despite it’s fucked up Supernatural undercurrent. He also might die before someone got him to say it out loud, but he can’t help but get flustered around Riley. He’s not sure if it’s her, or maybe that fact that she’s probably the first female friend he’s... ever had. But either way, he doesn’t exactly mind looking her way.

Bookshop AU
I don’t know as much about your muse personality-wise, but I’mma give it my best shot!
So Jordan isn’t big on reading books, but he really needs to get something on puppies because he got a new dog and he thinks he knows his way around bookstores but haha, he totally doesn’t. So he asks the nearest employee for help and wah-lah~ it’s Riley. She takes him to the pet section and there aren’t any books on the kind of dog he got. He’s not sure what it is. It’s probably a mutt but it looks intimidating and is big and black, so they pick out some books on labradors.
Somehow the conversation shifts on what he does for a living because she wants to make sure he has enough time to take care of a pupper and he mentions that he’s a cop. And where most people would back the eff off because cops are scary, she doesn’t and that makes him feel better. So they talk about puppies for a while and then he has to go because he doesn’t want to leave the pupper in question alone for very long.
So you’d think that would be the end, but as it turns out, he’s taking his dog, Cerberus (because I guess this is an AU where they’re human) out for a walk in the park and runs into Riley and he thanks her for helping him out with the books because they were very helpful. She’s like... petting Cerberus for a while and he’s like, “yeah give me all the doggo pets please and thanks” and they play fetch a little and have a good afternoon in the park and Jordan even buys them both some ice cream because puppos love ice cream.
Things so great for a while. But then, inevitably, the Cerbs get out and Jordan can’t find him anywhere. There aren’t many people who know much about him, so he enlists the help of Riley to look with him. They search like, all over town and wind up at the park and Jordan’s upset because he lost his new pal. Riley just awkwardly consoles him because he’s this big buff cop dude crying about a dog when suddenly they hear a bark and as it turns out, Cerberus has been chasing squirrels and playing in the mud and Jordan is so happy to find him that he doesn’t even care that he’s covered in mud, he just hugs that doggo to death.
And then, of course, Cerbs jumps all over Riley and licks her face and gets mud on her clothes and Jordan apologizes a lot because he’s embarrassed, but it’s fine.
And ever since then, he and Riley hang out and have pupper playdates and they go jogging together and always ruin it by getting ice cream. :D

moonstone & peridot
moonstone: what inspires them? why?
Talia gets inspired by encouragement from her friends and everyone around her. For pretty much her entire childhood she was deprived of that so now that she actually has people around her who care about her, it definitely gives her motivation for pretty much everything.
peridot: are they open to new growth and change in any way, or are they resistant to it?
As far as growth, Talia’s gone through plenty of it. She started out freshman and sophomore year with not trying whatsoever with her grades, and now she’s matured and changed her habits so that she can try to graduate. Not to mention change is very familiar to her considering she was homeless for a short time and went through various stages of sleeping in her old house by herself, then her car, and then staying at the Martin residence.

It was a nice day for once -- blue skies, chirping birds, a nice breeze that kept one cool but not cold. Liodes was seated at a park bench, watching and listening to the nature around him, a bock of cinnamon rolls from a nearby bakery sitting listlessly on the table beside him. He had mostly forgotten about them but was reminded after watching a bird pluck a worm from the ground. He pulled one out, lifting it up and taking a large bite out of it -- sugary goodness filled his mouth. He chewed, eyes drifting from the grass to a person wondering past. “Do you want one?” he asked, friendly despite not recognizing her, holding out the box of cinnamon rolls.

“You know, usually the only stuff we find on site is litter and needles, not boxes of random crap,” Isaac said, lifting up something that he couldn’t even begin to name. If he had to guess, it was some sort of old, medical magnifying glass but he wasn’t sure. He looked up at Riley, shrugging. “No one else on site wanted it so I took. You can help yourself to anything in here if you want.”

🌹… a confession.
Adriene has never known love. She has compassion for other people, of course, but she’s never been close enough to anyone, romantically or platonically, to say that she truly loved them.

☼: a piece of media that influenced you or changed your life (book, movie, tv show, game, comic etc)
“It doesn’t really have anything to do with the movie itself, but my family and I always used to watch It's a Wonderful Life every single Christmas Eve, and it taught me that traditions and being together are so important. I lost that idea for a little while after I lost them, but I’m starting to figure it out again.”

Lydia had not been in the greatest mood for the last week or so. She was dealing with the fact that her death might be impending and also her best friend suddenly left town in the middle of all of this. To say she was hurt would be an understatement, but the strawberry blonde was doing her best not to let her emotions get the best of her. She certainly didn’t want to show fear over the fact that she might die permanently and she didn’t want anyone to know that she was hurting about Talia leaving. So, Lydia tried to distract herself as best as possible. A good way to do that was planning to teach Riley some banshee tricks. She wanted her friend to learn how to master her powers and be strong, and also if Lydia could help Riley work on that premonition more they could potentially find out more information. It was worth a shot, and in the end Riley would be learning so Lydia was okay either way. She’d asked Riley to meet her in the basement of the abandoned church- which was creepy, yes. But they needed a secluded area and also somewhere people had died would be a bonus; that way Riley could pinpoint what she sensed in the area. She sent Riley a quick text to let her know she was in the parking lot outside and then waited for her friend to arrive.

What is/was your character’s relationship with their father like?
Stiles and his dad are very close. There was a time after his mom died that his dad had a hard time coping. He worked a lot and sort of retreated into himself. They’ve worked it out now and are closer than ever.

It was fuckin’ weird to wait around for that blonde girl -- he knew it was -- but that wasn’t enough to stop Kaiden from making his way down to library, and god knows it wasn’t enough to make him turn away now. That girl had left here with Scott McCall; that girl spent almost as many days as he did turning through the old volumes of Beacon Hills history that the library bothered to keep in stock. That girl knew about the weird shit happening in Beacon Hills, and Kaiden wasn’t going to waste any more time not trying to find out what exactly it was that she knew.
He had smoked through nearly half a pack before the time he had finally spotted Riley on her merry way down the block; his fingers flicking the burning butt far across the street before she had probably even realized someone was standing in the arched entryway. “Hey!” He called out down the street, nodding his head up toward the girl, “Your name is Lyon, right?”
