if you were introducing daft punk to someone who somehow was not familiar with any of their songs, what's the song you would show them and is that different than your favorite song of theirs?

i would definitely tell them to check out the entire discovery album and watch the music videos - it's such and interesting concept because the album is the soundtrack to interstella 5555 (an anime musical) and if you watch the mvs in the order of the songs on the album, you'd also be watching an entire movie

discovery is probably also their most popular album because it has the hits they're known for (one more time and harder better faster stronger) so the album is a good way to dip your toes into daft punk

my favorite song though is the last track on alive 2007 - it's 10 minutes long so definitely not for someone who isn't familiar with their songs yet, but (to me) it's a work of art and a testament to their craftsmanship because who else can keep a crowd entertained and on their toes for a 10 minute song????

last christmas is my absolute favorite christmas songs! i would LOVE if kihyun covered it!

but it's funny, there are so many covers of that song but imo not many are very good. I mean, it's hard to compare cause george michael had one of the best voices but kihyun would do a really good job.

i think kihyun would put his own spin and flavour to it like i can almost imagine what it's going to sound like because i dont think he'd try and emulate george michael's voice, but he'd utilize his own vocal tone and style to make it unique

yessss i finished it in a day and omg the things i learned about all the men casted in the show after i finished watching... like with each cast member i looked up, i was just like 😨 but i was genuinely rooting for 388 and he IS cute... please please let this guy be normal

hyungwon is a great actor so this isn't me dissing his acting skills but i'm going to come for the writing of fly again for a little bit.. every once in a while, i think about that scene from the drama where he's a ballet dancer who just injured his foot and then decides to spin ON THE FOOT THAT HE INJURED and then just collapses in pain like it's not supposed to be funny but im sorry, it is, cause dude, what did we think was going to happen??

like i wonder if when hyungwon was shooting that did he think ' this is really silly' cause i'd be like, are you sure we don't want to do any rewrites before we start shooting?

PLEEEASE that scene made me cringe so bad but i could relate because sometimes with an injury you try and convince yourself that it's not that bad or the pain is in your head so you try it out and OOP turns out you're actually injured lmao

sometimes i think about that show shownu was in and how it took SO long for it to come out like we were waiting for it forever lol.

but i do want actor shownu to make a comeback soon and hopefully with a main role or even just second male lead cause he's such a good actor.

they kept postponing it and postponing it and then never released it on netflix (even though the original series was a netflix production!!!) so i had to scrounge around to see where i could watch it with subs

this might be an unpopular opinion but i would LOVE to see him in more horror-type shows or movies like of course he'd be an amazing lead in a romance but i loved him in goedam

Have you seen the kdrama ‘ light shop’ ? unfortunately it’s only in English dubbing where I’m watching it so that kind of takes away a little bit from my enjoyment cause I prefer watching it original + subs but it’s so good! It’s horror / mystery

apparently there was some drama going on with atinys and monbebes where monbebes are saying that one of the members is copying changkyun and even accused him of getting a tattoo to be more like changkyun , and then atinys are calling mx old and irrelevant and other dumb things like that.. lmaoo like the secondhand embarrassment i feel, being part of both of these fandoms 😭

i heard that there's kpop fans who are upset at things getting postponed or canceled in light of the tragedy and that is genuinely so disturbing to hear that because of course, everything was going to be put on pause for some time- 179 people passed away in a tragic incident, (frankly it would've been really strange if the whole entertainment industry in korea just acted like nothing happened) and some people's fist thought is to make it about kpop??? Idk like as harsh as this may sound, even if you were slightly disappointed at things getting postponed/cancelled but didn't even express it out loud, I still think that's really shitty and those people should probably question themselves and why their obsession with kpop is infringing with them just being a semi decent human being.

to them korea = kpop and like... nothing else, like they SHOULD be horrified that it happened but i guess to them they're more concerned about not getting the content they want.. like no thought or consideration for the people that lost their lives tragically and suddenly, they just want more performances to consume. kpop brainrot is real and terrifying, you can really see how it's taken the humanity away from some fans

not sure how to explain this well but i really appreciate shownu and hyungwon's dancer skills and how, i feel like they don't really seem like they feel the need to "prove" how good their dancing is?? like there are some main dancers who dance like they're not on stage with a bunch of other people and I understand, like especially if you're a dancer, you want to give your 100% all the time and you don't want to look like you're slacking but there's times where you can risk making the group look messier if you're giving 120% and everyone else is maybe at an 80 %. Like, we already know they're the strongest dancers, nothing needs to be proven, so they can dial it back, and i feel like that's a really underrated aspect in group performances where, you don't need to always show how you're the best at whatever it is you specialize at. Sorry this might not make sense or may come across as offensive but just my thoughts cause i was watching some non mx performances the other day and thought about this lol.

yesssss ive always said this too like both of them know how to adjust their energy and style according to the song and to matchthe ofher members. might be my bias towards him talking hehe but shownu especially, he has such a unique dancing style but he 100% knows how to blend himself in with the rest of the group in group performances and also i think the other members use him as an anchor and try to keep up with him too - it goes both ways

it's a 3 letter group and the person i'm talking about has 3 letters to his name hshshs. In some songs, he has my favorite voice out of all of them but in other songs, i'm not a fan of it at all. He's not a bad singer, in fact, I think he's probably the most stable singer in the group after the main vocalist but yeah, I was talking about him lol.

I dont want to say names out but hopefully you'll know the person im thinking of lol.

OHHHH ok yes i know and i agree, not every song he puts out matches his vocals but i think if he finds his niche, he could sound really good

i got myself an edward elric one (fmab) because it was on clearance and like half off..... on christmas morning i woke up to 8 wrapped boxes all the same size and my family all excited for me to open them.... i opened them one by one and they were all inuyasha characters 😭😭😭 i was flabbergasted
