Got the coffee table parts back and assembled. Cerrused rift white oak for the cabinet portion and a painted and glazed finish on the steel. Second pic shows the painted drawer boxes that the client wanted and now has me thinking about paint colors on drawers instead of the predictable clear on maple. #lokicustomfurniture #lokifurniture #riftoak #riftoaktable #cerrusedoak #steelbase #midcenturymodern #popsicle

First pic is my 5 sided miter fold together, second pic shows the first 4 sides before I glued them. The most important part is square cuts and true 45 degree bevels on all edges. I glued solid rift oak to the open face which will have two drawer boxes with rift oak drawer fronts. Five sided miter fold all glued together. Second pic shows phase 1 of gluing the top, sides and back. After that I had to glue in a central divider and a cross piece and then the bottom.
