What are your head cannons for my favorite character Reginald Copperbottom? 👀

Ahhh, our dearest curly twink... I'll be talking about our v1 interpretation, since she's the most fleshed-out. (If you ever read the old Crashed Copperright blog- that was us! That was the start of Riella!):

Transfem! The different timelines have different moments/periods where she realizes and comes out, but it's generally during ItA or after CtM. She changes her name to Riella, just likes the sound of it!

Copperright Copperright Copperright- her and Remus (her RHM) tone it down in public but everyone knows they're together. In private, they essentially just. Don't let go of each other. Riella can and will climb onto Remus' back while he cooks them food.

Speaking of food... Riella hates toast. Violently. She once, in a fit of sleep-deprived rage, said it was banned from the airship. You can hold a piece of toast up to her and she will hiss at it and either move away or start crying.

Anxious Mess:tm: who is barely holding together at the seems. Transitioning helps a fair bit, but it isn't until she's no longer leader that she actually relaxes and seeks treatment. Remus regularly coaxes her to bed and just covers her in kisses, focused on her self-inflicted scars. He always tells her how proud of her she is for breaking that habit and all she can do is smile and hold him closer.

That mustache took YEARS to grow, damnit! It's her prized mustache and she will LOSE IT if anyone tries to shave it off. She'll kill them.

Really likes The Crane Wives. REALLY likes them. They figure out her sirin-like abilities because she was singing on of their songs and Remus started Feeling Weird.

Riella would absolutely adore Amelia by sheer measure of "CHILD!!! BABY!!!!!"

Amelia would kinda hate being called a child ("THAT'S ONLY IN ANDROID YEARS! IN HUMAN YEARS THAT'S A LOT!"), but she would probably like Riella (partially b/c she senses some form of familiarity in her since she was kinda based on Reg from my understanding).

Amelia has had father figures and brothers and sisters, but never really a mother figure in her life, so having Riella around is a nice change of pace (at least until, depending on the timeline, Ellie comes around)

Back on my birthday, out of the blue, I decided to sketch out my boys, Accordion and Violin, hugging a bunch of THSC ocs, mainly those who are close to the Toppat clan.

They are just sketches, nothing fancy or anything, but I wanted to share them! They might look the same, but there's not much you can do with two or one tall guys trying to hug you, haha. I apologize if they are a bit messy and inconsistent with size and height.

All of them are under the cut, with each creator tagged! (If I did miss anyone, do not worry. Know that Accordion and Violin would give your ocs a hug, so as long as you're an ally to the Toppats)

Fuck it I'm doing this one too!! Gonna be a lot shorter. Most of these are just. "Yeah this is the closest we've got"

Starting off strong; Riella! God. Her voice is literally just the lead singer of The Crane Wives. Like. Thats just Her!! Plus she's part siren and they give us siren vibes so bonus points

Randy's a weird one because we just can't quite place him. But probably somewhere between Lemon Demon and Bo Burnham? We honestly can't figure out a solid one for them but somewhere in that range.

Another weird one, Jaques Kensington! We had no clue for them but then listened to Will Wood and it just clicked. Although we know about Reamus and Riella Copperright; Johnny is very curious about getting to know them, they're little love story (we think that's right and hopefully not getting mixed up with someone else-)

And we're also curious about Hal. To quote Rupert: "She looks really cool, and I wanna know if she's as cool as she looks."

1. Remus and Riella! They met as young Clan recruits, with Riella's mental health being a mess and both being bullied a bit by other members. Remus started standing up for Riella when Terrence was harassing her, and it led to them becoming allies, then friends, and feelings started developing when Remus saved Riella's life during a raid while they were still low-ranking! Most of the clan assumed they were married by the time Riella became leader, but they hadn't actually confessed yet. They took in Sven and then confessed around the time of the Collection starting! They're very sweet with each other, Remus is very much Riella's rock through everything and in turn Riella is what helps pull him out of his dark times (including the period after getting his cybernetics)

2. I assume you mean Hale? If so; she's a transfem Galeforce and is a pretty run-of-the-mill Momforce! She's married to Dmitri (who's also married to Grigori), and she legally adopted Charles a bit after he joined the force. While she isn't legally Wallace's guardian, she's very much a mother to him as well! She realized really late in life that she's trans, as in after the game's events, so she doesn't plan on transitioning- in fact, she sort of continues to let people assume what they will based on her appearance. The people on base catch on pretty quickly, luckily enough! She's also the sister of Reynaldo the Brute, who may or may not be the father of Henry, Wallace, or Charles. We haven't figured it out yet.

Oh yeah, Riella is the sweetest thing to allies, especially kids! She is more than happy to sit and play games with Amelia!! Those two could happily sit and talk for hours while Remus lays with them and listens, huh?

Yknow what? I think Amelia and Riella would either get along great or not get along at all.

It all depends on how Riella can handle sweet little androids who are a little spoiled

Otherwise, I don't know if they'd get along great. Amelia tends to gravitate towards people who are kind to her, regardless of the situation. If you're a bit of a jerk, or god forbid hurt someone she's close to, she's really not going to trust you.

But if she likes you, she'll cling to you whenever you're around and just talk and talk and talk. She also likes to play games and stuff! (hope riella likes video games).

Fuck it Remus and Riella are OCs now. They joined the clan together in their late teens- Remus joined first, to get off of the streets, and then Riella eventually joined as well as she realized how bad her home was and started getting an inkling that she's transfem. Badda bing badda boom, they're Toppat recruits during Wilford's reign. They only barely know each other at this point but Remus finds himself very attached to this ""man"" who he could very clearly tell was closeted and not cis at all Which he used to convince himself that he couldn't fall in love with her, cause he's gay, so clearly it's safe to get close right? right. WRONG. He falls head over fucking heels and is oblivious to it. Riella is also oblivious to it. She's a little too wrapped up in herself to notice how she's falling for him, but she knows they're very close regardless.

The two both need new last names and they absolutely come up with one to share. "It's just so cool why not share it?" no you're IN LOVE. What that that last name, you ask? Idk it's still in the works. But I do like Copperwave, the one I gave them in InKings as a combination of Remus' coppery hair and Riella being a siren. But it's still really close to Copperbottom so that might cause issues?

Alright!! So! This is gonna be a long post with Spotify links and explanations! There's only a few we have songs for. Not in any particular order, and this isn't all of them by any means! Just the ones I have coherent thoughts for right now LMAO

Starting right off the bat: Henry, the man himself. Also "Tie me to the train tracks, laugh and snidely twist your mustache" is very much him @ Copperbottom. Plus "Imagine if the protagonist just died in the first scene". Plus "I'm the gap between a tragedy and comedy". LISTEN its just Henry okay

Next up on the list; Riella Copperbottom! Yes, specifically our good ole transfem Copperbottom! The Fear outlines her journey from terrified Toppat recruit to overthrowing Terrence and becoming a confident leader, with RHM by her side! Curses is one we just heavily relate to her, with its general vibe just... screaming Her!!! It does remind us of her struggles with herself and how she finds refuge and support in RHM- "Oh won't you stay with me, my darling, when this house don't feel like home?" "Tell me I am good enough"

Now! Good ole Dmitri Petrov! We have a pretty solid one for him- Can You Hear Me Now by The Score! (https://open.spotify.com/track/027qrQMWGsHo13amwdaBkI?si=33729ea39c494f67) Showing growth from a bitter, angry, abused teen to the cold-but-caring old man he is today, with his husband, wife, and sons. It's very much his anger over the years towards the family that hurt him ("Tell me, when you kicked me, did you ever think that I would get up?" "Can you hear me now, so proudly, looking up at what I've become?"), slowly cooling as he heals "Can barely hear a sound, it's faded, all the words you used to say" plus just the lead-off of the song

And ofc we have the one and only Randy Radman! Gotta mix between Everybody Loves Me by OneRepublic (https://open.spotify.com/track/0Q0Vl9fKJF5MDxfVKbD78e?si=9b604567d96e4274) and Could Have Been Me by The Struts (https://open.spotify.com/track/3IyCL4Em1GOpNGDf451Hg1?si=6fc52df1db5c4a03)!! Both fairly self-explanatory for a life of the party who just wants to live in the moment and live thoroughly as themself! This was a hard one though because we have so many songs that we relate to them dsbsdfb

Then we have a few for just their fuckin. Wait For It embodies his struggles with the legacy he feels he has to uphold as the son of two former leaders- Randy Radman and Sir Wilford IV- while also his hurt of their deaths, the loss of the two people he loved and who loved him. Very mixed vibes here.

Speaking of which! Sir Wilford IV! For some reason we absolutely cannot see Run Like A Rebel by The Score (https://open.spotify.com/track/236TyaLwvucMJUN2BeFkWU?si=589643ec9e224eef) as anyone else. It just screams him, particularly towards the clan! Plus tbh just. I don't know this one is probably the least coherent it just Fits to us

And of course. Jaques Kensington. We have the BIGGEST feelings about them okay. So this is a hard choice. But! Gonna go with Laplace's Angel by Will Wood (https://open.spotify.com/track/1oHbgg5WYa7WOJC8VoBVYi?si=c81d15a0329b4a35) for it's sheer unhinged Disney villain vibes and Chole (Acoustic) by I DON'T KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME (https://open.spotify.com/track/7DAUTcJYMybdyEC033uT9e?si=8415e6cb05cd492e) for a pretty similar reason. These both feel like a balance between 'eccentric and unhinged' and 'classical and dangerous' if that makes any sense. Plus the line "But with my head up in the clouds, I can see so much ground and from up here you look like ants in a row" plays into the whole dragon thing!

Poet: I'm pretty comfortable in my identity. I can pass as a dubious identity, so I get to be a bit more open about it than others of my source.

Soldier: Also very comfortable, but don't have the same blessing as Poet; I am very recognizable. There is a pretty major complication with my source, so I tend to do my best to hide it.

Jaques: I am not a fictive of Jaques Kensington, Jaques Kensington is based off me (/j). Since my source character is so very unknown, most people won't recognize me regardless. I'm very open about my identity.

Riella: Well, mine's a bit complicated by the recent OC change, but! I'm very comfortably myself, regardless of if that's Chief Copperbottom or The Crane or anyone else. I'm generally open about being a mixed fictive, even if not 100% about of which sources!
