First Meeting with Sylus

Spoiler free and includes my updated theories regarding him and MC!

I don’t know if I’m late to the party but I’m playing through the main story again and I just realized the first time MC meets Sylus is during Chapter 1-9 (Rainfall Curtain) when she first saw the “Eye of Aether” outside her bedroom window

It’s plausible considering prior to this we were introduced to the three main LIs consecutively within the main chapter with Xavier being the first, then Rafayel, then Zayne

Caleb was even introduced after that and within the same chapter as our ‘first introduction’ to Sylus

Also regarding the Eye of Aether (or EOA), it was mentioned in Sylus’ Anecdote Journey Begins (Chapter 6, page 3-4) that he uses it to detect energy fluctuations in search for MC

Quote, “Sylus observes the map, a touch of melancholy in his gaze. “I see it.””

So it’s safe to assume that this might also very well be the first night Sylus arrives in the N109 Zone

I have a theory that Sylus uses the EOA not only to try and find MC across the Deepspace continuum, but also that it inadvertently acts as a physical manifestation of their connection with each other thus making it appear to MC when she’s in grave danger similar to the Linkon catastrophe years prior

(I don’t want to speak further to keep this spoiler free but I’ll add an addendum after the recent event ends)

Anyway, that’s all I have for now. This is my second playthrough of the Main Chapter and it’s fun to finally connect the dots especially regarding Sylus after completing his myth

I’ll post more of my observations soon!
