Masterlist
A/N: First fourth wing one shot. This started with me daydreaming about Ridoc`s more serious side that we get to see more off in onyx storm. How he´d be if he actually opened up more and what kind of person that it would take to make him comfortable doing so.
Let me know if you want more of this!
I also make ship imagines, check bio.
Hope you like it xoxo

Iris was leaning against the railing on the top off one of the look out towers, beneath a sky painted in soft shades of orange and pink.
Iris had come there to think, as she often did when her thoughts grew too tangled, her mind racing faster than the wind she commanded. Her curly blonde hair caught in the breeze, her pale skin glowing under the fading sunlight, and her light blue eyes were distant, lost in thought. It was one of the few places she felt peace, high above the chaos of the Riders’ Quadrant.
She hadn’t expected anyone else to come up there—it wasn’t a spot many visited, especially not at this time of day.
But that’s when Ridoc appeared.
He stepped out from the stairwell, walking straight to the railing. Running a hand through his dark hair, cursing under his breath, clearly not expecting to find anyone either. He froze for a moment when he saw her standing off to the left side of him. Their eyes locking, and for a brief second, neither of them said anything. They’d seen each other before, of course but never really talked.
Ridoc recovered first, his signature smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. “Didn’t think I’d find anyone else up here.”
Iris raised an eyebrow, not particularly in the mood for small talk. “Was not expecting that either to be honest. Did you need some air?”
He laughed softly, the sound surprisingly genuine. “You could say that. Needed to get away from people for a bit.” His gaze flicked over her, curiously. “Guessing you did too?”
She shrugged, turning her gaze back to the horizon. “Something like that.”
For a moment, silence settled between them, but it wasn’t uncomfortable. Ridoc stepped closer, leaning against the railing, his eyes scanning the view. It was clear he wasn’t the type to sit still for long, but here, with the wind and the quiet, he seemed different—less cocky, more contemplative.
Iris couldn’t help but glance over at him, studying his profile. There was something about him that intrigued her, even if she wasn’t sure what it was yet. He wasn’t like the others—always quick to laugh, quick to flirt, but she had never seen this quiet side of him.
“What brings you up here?” he asked, breaking the silence but not looking at her, his voice soft.
Iris hesitated. She wasn’t used to opening up to people. But there was something about the quiet between them, something about the way he wasn’t pushing for an answer, that made her feel like maybe it was okay to say something. Just a little.
“Thinking,” she said simply, her voice low.
Ridoc chuckled. “Dangerous.”
That made her smile, just a little. “You have no idea.”
He finally turned to face her, his expression softer now, his teasing smile replaced with something more genuine. “Maybe I do.”
She met his gaze, surprised by the seriousness in his dark brown eyes. For a moment, they just looked at each other, and Iris realized that maybe, just maybe, Ridoc wasn’t as easy to read as she thought.
“You come up here often?” he asked, leaning against the railing beside her, close but not intruding.
She nodded, still watching him out of the corner of her eye. “Sometimes. When I need to clear my head.”
"it´s beautiful here" he said looking out at the sun setting before us. “Guess I’ll have to start coming here more often then,” he added as he looked towards me, his smirk returning, but there was a softness to it now, a hint of something deeper.
Iris rolled her eyes, but she couldn’t help the small smile tugging at her lips. “Maybe. But don’t expect me to chat with you every time.”
Ridoc laughed, the sound light and genuine. “Fair enough. I’ll take what I can get.”
As Ridoc stood there beside her, the wind tugging at their hair, Iris felt a strange sense of calm. Maybe she wasn’t as alone as she thought.
