Taking a mercenary job to assassinate a lower house member visiting Geidi Prime was meant to be easy. Riddick was less noticeable among the sea of shaved heads. By now the locals knew not to say a word about him either. If he stopped to taunt a nobleman about watching their back in the dark least he pay them a visit, the locals welcomed it. It seemed fear was it's own currency on the planet Giedi Prime. Thankfully, Riddick had that in spades.

Problems arose when his prey tried to hide from him in the Baron's residence. The Baron himself was away, so Riddick slipped inside. Before he found his prey, a woman and child cowered from Riddick. Well, the woman cowered. The boy stared him down.

Interesting.

After taking out his prey, Riddick took something off the man as proof for his bounty. Before he can slip away the mother begs to go with him. To be taken with her son as ransom. She has reason to believe her life is in danger here. Before her execution she wants a little more time with her son.

Riddick agrees.

Sneaking his willing captives out is easier than Riddick anticipated. The guards are vicious, but the locals quickly move out of his way. It does not take long for the mother to show why she chose to trust the mercenary. She was a Bene Gesserit witch. Using her abilities to get through check points and off the planet.

The entire escape the boy was having the time of his life. Smiling, giggling, and trying to join in the fight.

While they are hiding out, Riddick comes to learn the woman was named Emilda and her son is the Baron's beloved nephew, Feyd Rautha. In the years they are together Riddick comes to learn that Feyd spent years as a ward of his Uncle without his mother. His elder brother tore Feyd away from his mother as a toddler and presented him as a gift to their uncle. Those years apart were Emilda's biggest regret. Now, Feyd Rautha believed she abandoned him. When the truth was the Baron refused her. And the troubled boy was obviously treated poorly. The boy's flinching, bed-wetting, and issues sleeping were evidance enough for Riddick.

Once the last payment for the ransom goes through Riddick would be returning Emilda and Feyd Rautha to Geidi Prime. Along with gifting the Baron a knife in the side of his neck.
