Started watching Requiem of the Rose King on netflix thinking it was some rando historical drama and... it is(?) But it is also. Very much a BL harem with a loose grip on historical accuracy.
#did you fuck my dad richard?#it started out so bad it was funny#turned to so bad its good#and now i am hooked unfortunately 😔#once you get past the awkward af first few eps the character writing is actually pretty good in areas#its still cringe whenever the mc is having a Romantic Scene#also richard plantagenet is intersex and keeps hallucinating evil thotty joan of arc#one of the MLs is the king of England the same age as Richard's dad#another is the son of the previous ML who keeps misgendering him#ANOTHER ML is some kid whos the duke of buckingham and is 100% a snake#ANOTHER ML is richard's old attendant who barely has a prescence in the show despite being the only ml left standing in the end#and my favorite love interest is some girl who gets engaged to edward lancaster the son ML of dilf ML#girl ml and son ml are funny tho son ml immidiately tries to one up girl ml whenever they talk about their mutual love for richard#also there was a moment#no he did not but he wanted to#one thing they got unfortunately accurate is everyones name is either henry george or edward#i get so fucking confused#plus everyone who has one of those is a tall blond blue eyed white guy#richard all your boytoys look like your dad#unsurprising since richard has a complex abt his dad
