Hi I have a question I saw that Elisabeth 20th Anniversary was cancelled sadly But will TOHO bring Elisabeth 20th Anniversary back again when it is safe or is it really over with the Elisabeth 20th anniversary?

Knowing TOHO, they will probably try to squeeze the ‘20th Anniversary’ in within the year 2020, even if it means 23:59 on December 31st... AS LONG as the Japanese government does not forbid it. Despite TOHO’s power/influence, the government still has the absolute say in whether the theatre will get to milk everyone’s money celebrate the 20th anniversary in the actual 20th year.

‘Endless Shock’ also had its 20th anniversary this year, but the performances also got cancelled. So instead, Imperial hosted a no-audience live-broadcast of the highlights of the show.

But ‘Elisabeth’... you know? There is no way in hell TOHO is going to miss out on the 200.000+ ticket sales (yes, I counted) that sold out in literally 30 minutes. Therefore I don’t think they will pull the same thing as for ‘Endless Shock 20th’.

In a nutshell: TOHO might try to squeeze it into 2020 as long as there’s governmental approval. If not, they will probably try to invest in a time machine to travel back to 2020 when it’s 2021 or something.

In a riceshell: I have no idea. I just hope that within this year the virus can be contained, obviously for the reason of everyone’s well being (and also the continuation of ARTTTT)
