Riccardo (Riccio) (about 30-40 yrs old)

He is absolutely in love with his sister, like would do absolutely anything for her including killing himself if it would put a smile on her face In love. He cannot function without her

Camille (Milla) (about 20-30 yrs old)

Riccardos younger sister, arguably way more depraved and obsessive than he is. She had the crush first and it Did Not Help that he helped her raise her children.

Brief Lore Runthrough

Camille was an accident, her parents really didn't want one kid let alone two, so they were always told to go play by themselves, don't be a bother, etc. very much neglectful. Riccardo didn't really have friends growing up. He was a bit odd and awkward and didn't really like a lot of people, and why should he make friends anyways when he could just hang out with Camille instead? Camille really idolized him through their childhood. He was her big strong brother who would protect her no matter what. He had kind of a delinquent streak so he never hesitated to throw a punch. By the time she turned 16 she was so hopelessly in love with him. But neither even realized it. Their relationship had always been like that.

Canonically Camille lives in a vaguely medieval religious cult but spiritually shes an early 2000s mcbling teen mom.

Similarly Riccardo should be living in a dusty ass trailer park in like Alabama, that man is not built for Italy

Sometimes a character is required by the plot to be a certain age but I just KNOW by personality they were born in the wrong generation.

Sometimes a character is sixteen and I’m like noooooooo she should be raised on VHS. She should have exclusively Lisa Frank school supplies and maybe a Blackberry.

Sometimes a character is forty five and I’m like nooooooooo he would do numbers doing TikTok dances. He doesn’t know how to use a rotary phone.

And sometimes a character is living in a 2024 plot and I’m like release them from that iPhone they should be a quaint little pageboy or a medieval nun or something.

Just realized I haven't yet posted this piece of Riccardo and Camille. Its literally the only piece of them Ive finished so here :)

My favorite thing about De Arco-cest is that neither one is a victim of the other. Neither of them has control of the relationship. They’re both so hesitant with everything because they’re so scared of pushing the other too far and crossing that line. Camille just wants Riccardo taken care of, and Riccardo just wants Camille safe. And they’re both willing to go to the ends of the earth to make that happen.

They both know what they’re doing is wrong, but they’re too love struck to stop.

Riccardo and Camille are pretty healthy besides the, you know, incest. But Im like kind of obsessed with yandere!Camille. But like especially if Riccardo is encouraging it. Like ‘yeah babe, that girl was flirting with me. Sure, I think leaving a dead bird on her bed is a great idea.’

Im obsessed with the idea of Camille and Riccardo escaping their religious cult in the middle of the night with Camille's five year old son, Leon, and another on the way. I dont know, the idea of them leaving everything they know for the chance at living normally and giving their children a happier life has me in shambles, especially if it's successful.

Them walking on foot for days before stumbling upon a farm owned by a kind family who lets them stay for a few nights and fills their bellies with warm home-cooked meals. If they knew the truth of their relationship maybe they wouldn't have helped, or maybe it wouldn't have mattered to them. They offer to bring them to a village a few hours away by horse and they accept, not realizing until they arrive that they have no money of value here. The cult had their own currency.

The peace that Camille felt when she realized that her only option to make money was no longer prostitution, she could get a job just like a man could. Riccardo quickly got a job at a bakery, since he ran the bakery back in the cult. Camille met a woman named Bea. Bea had short hair, Camille didn't know girls were allowed to cut their hair. She wanted to be her friend. Shes never had a friend before.

Bea asking about where she came from and why she left. Camille told her that the community they're from wasn't safe to raise a child, and it was obvious she didn't want her to pry. She offered a spair bedroom for their family until they could find a more permanent place to live.

Riccardo enrolling Leon into school. Such a foreign concept to them all. Church school was the only type of education in the cult. A weight off his back that his children would learn real skills.

Riccardo and Camille getting to be a couple in public. No one seems to notice how similar they look, because no one would assume such a loving couple could be siblings. Once they saved up enough money Riccardo bought rings and they eloped in their bedroom. Nothing could stop them from loving each other.

SOME CONTEXT:

(This is a royal/nobility au) Camille is wearing a mask so that Ricardo won’t realize who she is. Obviously this doesn’t work at all because they’ve lived together for their entire lives. She is dumb. She is so dumb. He still lets her kiss him though.

Camille makes her way to Riccardo, who’s standing by a wall, trying not to be noticed by any of the women who have attended the ball.

They awkwardly stand next to each other, she inches closer.

Ricardo glances at her.

“Hello.”

“Hello.” She responds. “..will you dance with me?”

Ricardo, takes her hand “of course, my lady.”

They make their way to the floor.

Camille rests her head on his shoulder

“Why are you wearing a mask?” He asks.

“So you dont know who I am.”

“alright.” He says with a chuckle, thinking she was joking.

The song ends. She lets her hand glide from his shoulder down to his wrist.

“meet me in the lower library in 20 minutes”

and they part ways.

Ricardo enters the library, Camille is standing inside, fiddling.

“You look beautiful in that dress.”

Camille smiles, “thank you.”

She pauses before speaking again.

“Would you like to help me remove it?”
