July 12th, 2024 - Arcaea, EZ2ON, vivid/stasis

hey again!!! woke up really early this morning and had to get rid of my arcaea stamina even though i kinda felt out of it in terms of playing the game, so i just casually tried to play Nhelv... when i somehow got these two back-to-back 1-miss plays on the chart??? tempted, i went into normal Music Play to see if i could actually get it... and i did!!! Nhelv (FTR-9+, MAX-17) as FTR PM #148.... and then followed IMMEDIATELY by Protoflicker (FTR-9+, MAX-41) as FTR PM #149!!!

seeing as i had more free time than i had yesterday, i took advantage of it to play some more of the EVOLVE DLC that i bought yesterday, and Holy Bangers Everywhere i'm in LOVE with this DLC (and Prestige Pass of the few songs i played) even more than i was before (also check it out, Rebel Against (4S SHD 17) All Cool!!!)

also today: vivid/stasis released its Soundscan update!! and it's SO FUN!!!!! before it was locked again, i got a MAX-1 into MAX on Proper Rhythm (ENCORE 12) to match with my MAX on the FINALE chart!!! then once the update released, i went HARD on some of the funky challenges they had available there!!! love this mode so much... i even got a sightread MAX on the Intro to Soundscan chapter song (NULCTRL [FINALE 10+]!!! (i'll get ENCORE later i promise)) (ohyeah they also added Peak to Boundary Shatter (evil pimp dracula fire beat [EVIL 17+++])

Pictured as Perfect/Vox is a sorta grey area. Similar to Lapither, Ancilla, Pathos & Ethos etc., Vox was indeed originally an Intelligent Organic. However, they didn’t die horribly per se, but what happened was much worse. It’s hard to say they’re even Vox anymore, just… an amalgamation.

That said, Pictured does retain some fragmented memories of Vox. They would sometimes switch between “we” (the collective) and “I” (Vox) pronouns.

I originally intended for Pictured to talk in the [] brackets, to signify that they spoke in the MV language, but I wasn’t sure how to make it not go against the coding, so. I didn’t try 💥

Pictured is bit detached from reality because of their mind being mixed up, so be patient with them .3.

I think it was a mistake for me to implement all the CGs… killed my motivation a bit, which I left this project for a month .<.

For some time, I really wanted to redesign Pictured as Perfect, as Serville Film Studio is a really funny team, in contrast to Team Herbicide. But I didn’t know how to about the design, aside from “former science experiment”. Solution? Mimic NULCTRL and Upshift lol

Oh, was I so wrong. In hindsight, the other Fantasia Sonata songs are in other games, so I should’ve expected it. Didn’t expect Rotaeno tho.

Yes to both! Tho, with NULCTRL, he has a difficult time staying in one spot for long, so he doesn’t rlly use that function.
