This is a line I can’t really think of a way to transcribe its wordplay into English, but essentially 違う (chigau) can mean both different and wrong. It’s being used as an antonym to 同じ (onaji), but also incorporating that double meaning in here I believe.

I know there is a popular translation going around which I think accidentally misinterprets the 様に (you ni) here to be used with the meaning of “in order to”, however I’m pretty sure the kind of 様に (you ni) here is the sort used to make wishes. Example: 神様の恵みがあります様に。= May the blessing of God be upon you

Literally “peace, as it is to be defined, exhaustion is made into its replacement”. But 消耗 (shoumou) might also refer to 消耗戦 (shoumousen), i.e. attritional warfare. This is a military strategy where a country attempts to beat the enemy by basically wearing them down until they’re flat out of resources and any real way to fight back. My personal take on this lyric is it might be referring to how in the singer’s mind, feeling “peace” has been replaced with feeling “exhaustion”. Yet “nothing has really changed”, since the singer cannot spit out thier feelings and thus bottles this “exhaustion” up despite its existence, as if peace were still present. Also just a side note, but I enjoy the wordplay here with 代わりに成す (kawari ni nasu) and 変わりはなく (kawari wa naku). 

A bit more liberal here. But I’ve only ever seen 京楽 (kyouraku) used in settings meant to evoke religious/fantastical imagery... 京楽の悪魔 (kyouraku no akuma) or a demon of pleasure, etc. 嘘 (uso) means lie but it can also refer to the more ambiguous idea of just something not beign what you thought it was... So I thought “sin” would be the best choice here, given the song’s themes. For similar reasons, I also have translated 救われる (sukuwareru) or to be saved as “salvation”.

Salutes you back, boss. Since I'm feeling epic... I'll tell you what I thought of every song! Long story short: Very good, and gave me a lot to think about... But under a cut for dashboardyness. There's also tangents!

系ぎて / Tsunagite - VERY niceys! Probably the coolest sequence of looking at a floating crystal ever, that music video is. It gave me a feeling of like... hope! beyond hellish circumstances! It was nice.

World Ender - It's like running... it makes me feel like running, and there's a countdown. The music video as displayed also definitely conveys SOMETHING.

As a whole, I can see why the above two songs were your first picks of showing off. They're real heavy hitters, emotionally... I'm no good at expressing how songs make me feel, but they give off the same sort of "hopeful desperation." One leans more on hope, the other on desperation.

As a side note, I've never really paid much attention to rhythm games that aren't a little silly with it (examples of being a little silly with it including rhythm heaven and rhythm doctor... yes, you can boo me off the stage). These all really make me want to reconsider, but at the same time, the video reccomendations youtube's been giving me on the side make it seem like they're liable to break your fingers if you play wrong. I can still definitely enjoy the music on the side. ...But speaking of music!!! whoops!!!!

opia - Neurofunk, huh. They love to give silly names to genres. A genre I know I like that I can give a name to is like, Slushwave. That sounds like something straight out of Hypnospace Outlaw, but no, it's real! And back to the song at hand, this gives me a solid first impression of what neurofunk is. I love the piano backing... It never quite fades into obscurity. Despite the beats being so fast, every sound counts! No wasted space. ...Music can never waste space, but you know what I mean.

Upshift - I admit, this got me to dance a little. Well, wiggle a little in my chair. Still! Listening to it again to keep it at the forefront of my thoughts is making me resume my silly wiggling. In fact, I can barely pause to write anything down... that's how you know something's really made me happy. I can't say anything about it because every time I try to think of something meaningful, I start wiggling happily instead of thinking!

Heavensdoor - At first, I got a little confused when I saw the turn of phrase "a song with only kicks." But now I understand. This song is something monks have to listen to in order to reach enlightenment in the subject of music, I think. But in all seriousness, it's preddy good. All evidence also shows that this song scares rhythm game players, which makes me honored that you showed a "normie" like me as a first suggestion.

But here's a small aside that your description made me think. You say heavensdoor is made to evoke hollowness... at first I went in thinking this was going to be lower key, and then I got surprised when it wasn't what I was thinking. And I guess it is lower key compared to the rest of these songs! It goes to show that hollowness has many meanings. Because it's got less "empty" hollowness and more "uncaring" hollowness to it, if that makes sense? Here, I gotta grab something.... Here, this song, Flicker Trail from Yume 2kki. I went in expecting something a bit more like this. I love me some ambiance-flavored music. But I also need things that aren't ambiance! And this is why I got so excited when I started listening, enough to start writing all this down. Music is good! i love music! i love talking about music!!!! Oh, but I have one last song to say my thoughts about....

Inori - You really saved the best for last, be it intentionally or no. This one's my favorite of this group you've shown me... I love songs where it feels like a battle for fate is going on. And it uses choirs preddy good too. This song SLAPS, if you pardon my french!!! i'm going to drag this to my bestie who has shown interest in music like this.

And last sidenote. I listened to these all while just staring and listening. But some people I know can only listen to new music while doing something else. That would make it tough to pay attention to the minutae of the song for me! But it does fill me with wonder... there's many ways to experience a song. And how you experience it will shape your opinion of it! It's a genuinely cool phenomena to me...

I'm going to have to restrain myself from giving a really detailed list of reccomendations back as thanks for the dinner, both because this post is already long enough, and because my music taste doesn't have many other songs like this (yet). But I can give you one song in exchange. Present World Overhaul from Len'en 3... it goes really nuts. it's noisy and kinda screechy. it's got trumpets for days. and most of all, it rewired my neurons. If you want a more proper description, alas, I'm not the one to call for normal music descriptions...

Elizabeth Sherri Justice: An uptight high schooler. She doesn't have many friends, mostly due to her tendency to tell others off. Childhood friends with Konaco

Konaco Joki: A laid back high schooler. She gets along well with pretty much everyone due to her easy-going nature. Childhood friends with Elizabeth Sherri.

Kanon Raitoto: Konaco's cousin. The two have a similar laid back disposition, though he's not as popular. Very good at rhythm games and decently good at fighting games. Gets dragged into shenanigans very often (mostly by Miumeko).

Sakura Yurei: The younger of the Yurei siblings. Silly and comes off as a bit empty-headed, but is actually very perceptive and sharp. She likes to tease her older sister. Can talk to ghosts.

Mint Yurei: The older of the Yurei siblings. Hard-working and competent, but can be a bit socially inept and awkward. Does everything she can to support herself and her sister. Scared of ghosts.

Rei Inori: The 22nd shrine maiden of the Inori Shrine. Presents herself as cold and standoffish, but is actually quite kind. Loves sake. A bit of a shut in. Claims to hate yokai.

Mizusuki Hakahana: An oni living at the Inori Shrine. Friendly and thinks humans are interesting. Enjoys bar hopping during the night. She's able to see someone's true colors no matter how hard they try to hide them - hence why she likes Rei.

Cure Blossom: Tsubomi Hanasaki, also known as Cure Blossom, is the pink Cure of Heartcatch Pretty Cure. Unlike most other pink Cures, she is shy and smart, as opposed to her more energetic and ditzy counterparts. She loves flowers and while she starts as “the weakest Pretty Cure in history”, she soon comes into her own.

“A Lone Flower Spreading Throughout The Land! Cure Blossom!”

Cure Chocolat: Akira Kenjou, also known as Cure Chocolat, is the red Cure of KiraKira Pretty Cure A La Mode. She is loyal and dependable, serving as a big sister to the rest of her team. She has a similar dynamic to Sailors Uranus and Neptune with her teammate Yukari Kotozume/Cure Macaron. As Cure Chocolat, she represents chocolate and dogs.

“With Strength and Love, Let’s-La Mix it All Up! Cure Chocolat is complete!”

Cure Melody: Hibiki Hojo, also known as Cure Melody, is the pink Cure of Suite Pretty Cure. She is sporty and rash, to contrast with her partner Kanade Minamono/Cure Rhythm being smart and elegant. They often fight, but they still care about each other and cannot transform without each other.

Cure Peace: Yayoi Kise, also known as Cure Peace, is the yellow Cure of Smile Pretty Cure. She is shy and a bit of a crybaby, but she has big dreams of being a famous manga artist. As Cure Peace, she has the ability to shock her enemies with bursts of electricity. She’s partially famous for playing rock-paper-scissors with the viewer every time she transforms.

Cure Earth: Asumi Fuurin, also known as Cure Earth, is the purple cure of Healing Good Pretty Cure. She is a spirit born from a statue of the original Cure Earth, brought to life by the prayers of Queen Teatinu of the Healing Garden. She is naive to the ways of Earth until the other girls teach her and is very protective of Latte, the princess of the Healing Garden and one of the most adorable puppies this side of Mahou Shojo (at least I think so). Despite her name being Cure Earth, she is purple-colored and has wind powers. She was simultaneously the oldest (she is physically about 20 years old) and the youngest (spirit was born during the season) Cure ever. (Although the “oldest” title goes to Cure Butterfly, being 18 both physically and mentally).

“The Two Winds That Connect Through Time! Cure Earth! (Latte: Arf!)”

Cure Sword: Makoto Kenzaki, also known as Cure Sword, is the purple Cure of Doki Doki Pretty Cure. She is a warrior from the Trump Kingdom (there is a good reason why the name was changed to Splendorious for the Glitter Force dub). Before the season started, her home was destroyed, her fellow Pretty Cure died, and she was separated from her beloved Princess Marie Ange. She was broken for a while, but meeting her new teammates helped her to smile again. She is a famous idol on Earth, hoping that the princess will hear her song and they can reunite.

“The Blade of Courage! Cure Sword!”

Cure Pine: Inori “Buki” Yamabuki, also known as Cure Pine, is the yellow Cure of Fresh Pretty Cure. She is a shy young woman with a love for animals. She used to be extremely scared of ferrets (the one exception to her love), which made things awkward because the group’s fairy, Tarte, resembles a ferret. However, some body-swapping shenanigans causes her to get over her fear. She is also part of the dance group Clover with the rest of her teammates.

Cure Fantasy: The Lie! As of writing, there is no Cure known as Cure Fantasy. My guess is that she would be pink if she existed. Although, there are quite a few OCs with this name. Congrats to those who got it right, and if you didn’t, there’s always next time!

Cure Ange: Saaya Yakushiji, also known as Cure Ange, is the blue Cure of Huggto Pretty Cure. She is a former child actress who starred in a vegetable commercial and is trying to figure out if she wants to be an actress like her mother or if she wants to go her own path. As Cure Ange, she resembles a nurse and is shown to have healing powers.

(Bonus: Cure Ange is also the name of the predecessor Cure who appeared in the Heartcatch movie).
