Nevermind that "Rook" was the Hero of Fereldan, that was 20 years ago, the more recent 'transgression' wasn't so much for not listening to an order, but the First Warden wants to do something truly heroic before he answers the Call. Rhue thwarted that.

She was there at the right time, right place, while he was too busy fluffing his feathers miles away.

He got to his position from politics, easily bribed from wealthy donors, and rubbing elbows with the elite.

She has the scars from getting things done.

Being the Hero of Fereldan, she isn't afraid to speak her mind. Many of her fellow wardens respect her for defeating the Archdemon.

Her insubordination galls him. It pricks his jealousy any time another report crosses his desk of her heroics. He thought to prick her pride by demoting her.

A rank she really doesn't give a shit about. She knows her capabilities.

She also not afraid to tell even her higher rank commanders, including the First Warden, where to go and how to do it.

She could have gotten out of being dragged to a Grey Warden prison (more then the dialogue tree allowed), but the save by a certain Tevinter Magister was a nice entrance.

Yes because it is my name and my title granted to me by Warden Commander Tabris-Surana. 4. Are you single or taken? Debatable 5. Have any abilities or powers? Choosing Minrathous over Treviso... hurts my heart when Lucanis rejects Rook. It's the next day, and I'm still mopey over that. My Surana/Rook isn't even going to romance him, but ...oof. My sad birb bf...

Veilguard Spoilers

For my HoF playthrough, I'm not going to romance Lucanis this time, so to be sure he and Neve hook up, I brought her along to save him. Already some flirting from her before we left the Ossuary.

I'm also going to save Minrathous instead. I don't think that's the "better" route, because a city full of mages should save themselves. In my first play through, Lucanis was far more convincing, mostly because it will directly impact their water table. But I need to see the flip side. *sigh* It will also force me to not romance my birb boyfriend.

The plan is to romance the old man, and save our skelli son (letting him go lich in the 1st play through was all sorts of wrong lol).

"Of course, my friend, your secret is safe with me. And the bumbling idiot tied to your hip?"

A soft chuckle, "He's well. In the south helping with the efforts there."

"And your crow?"

"Likewise, well, and in the south."

"But you are here..."

"Alister asked me to keep an eye on his friend, Varric. Also, my research and Varric's aims seem to align, so I came north. On the surface, it didn't seem likely, but there something itching in the back of my mind, can't quite scratch it yet."

"Truly? You should have someone attend that."

Rhue laughs, "I've missed you, Morrigan."

"Tis been awhile, has it not?"

"And your son?" Rhue glances from side to side, but only notices the Dalish milling about, "Did he not come with you?"

"He is safe, elsewhere."

"Is anywhere truly safe, I wonder?"

A frown stitches across her brow, "No, likely not, but a mother tries."

I submitted this for a challenge using the Strangefate/Rogue background with my girl. I wasnt chosen, something about the hair.

I didnt brush it out in post, and the option I was shown looked more like 80's yuppy mom going to a Whitesnake concert. Nothing wrong with yuppies, mothers, or Whitesnake, it just wasnt a style suited for this particular character. I adjusted her hair within Daz before the render, to fall more naturally, but eh. I like her hair, I like how it looks. It's not meant to look styled and perfectly coiffed. Her hair isnt even in the top 10 of things she is thinking about in any given day.

Anyway, I did a bunch of shit in post and really liked how this turned out, even if it wasnt accepted in the challenge.

(I really did try to add the long sleeves on her, but they just wouldnt behave the way I needed them too, so I had to remove them.)

I used Glaze* on the right side. I had Glaze in mind when I did the post work in Gimp, so I actually like the glaze treatment with this because it feels intended. And not so obvious.

ELEMENT: Fire and electricity. Fire is her strongest element, but electricity made her earn it.
