* Rhun and Nesme in their twenties *

Rhun/Hrun was magically adopted by two vampires and as such is not entirely human because her DNA has changed, but she is more human than vampire. apart from Nesme, Rhun is also quite close friends with Cookie Montoya.

Venessa (Nesme) is a born half-vampire on a mostly human diet, but on-mission she sometimes drinks animal blood to avoid having to steal or spend money that doesn't come from the same money system- thus the yellow eyes. She is friends with Alicia Brandon as well as Tara Tonks and Tara Beverly.

The young women are from different years in different universes, but around the same age, and have known each other for over a decade. Frienemies to friends to lovers.

Both are magicians.

Rhun is the woman you will want for the fine-tunes. The fiddly works of magic. Carefully woven spells and intricate transfigurations- she is almost as naturally inclined to transfiguration as Vicky is. Rhun uses a wand when she has to channel more of her meagre amount of magic to get, for example, a more powerful protective spell, otherwise she uses the method of carefully channeling her magic through three fingers.

When it comes to magic, Nesme operates on brute force. She doesn't look it, but she is incredibly strong, magically speaking- and when has magic ever cared about body types (maybe it should, Nesme is borderline anorexic, and it's only not fully there because her half vampire system won't let her get any skinnier... Which she uses to argue that for /her/, it's not actually dangerous. Off topic...). Because of her power, she never quite bothered to learn any finesse. While she always makes sure to own a wand, she doesn't usually carry one around with her unless she's on a mission, and then she mostly treats them as something disposable to be easily replaced should she lose or break it.

If you were to throw a plastic ball at her, Nesme would elegantly catch it before it could hit her while Rhun would just let it bounce off of her and fall in the mud, going 'Oups- guess you'll have to clean that now..."

Venessa smirks coldly, sneers, purses her lips just slightly and looks even colder through it. When she does laugh- when around the people she loves, when managing to get something /just right/- she laughs loud and free. She stares down people who annoy her until they get uncomfortable and look away, and she walks upright, straight, like she owns the place and would step on you.

Rhun, or Hrun as her birth certificate said (she never did learn to spell it right as a child, and stuck to it even when she knew better), smiles little smiles more often than Nesme, grins sometimes and smirks with mirth in her eyes. She rolls her eyes at people who annoy her, snorts, laughs in the guffawing way of her father. Rhun can stand up straight if she wants to, but she doesn't usually- huddled in on herself, staring at her phone or tablet, game or gadget, bad posture only emphasised by baggy clothing, making every day underestimate her skill and secretly smiling to herself whenever she shows them all.

Both of them are scientists, in a way- sure, they go on missions, Nesme does humanitarian stuff no-one would expect from such a cold woman while Rhun, of course, does the tech. But they are both also interested in biology, psychology, philosophy,... In biology they worked together on a dissertation, Rhun doing the hands-on work on little possibly-part-alien-frogs while Venessa does the research, hours upon hours in the library. Not that she minds getting her hands dirty that much, really, but she would mind how it would ruin her pristine image.

Hrun and Nesme - friends who (sometimes) hate each other.

H: "At least your mother's sane."

N: "Sane, my mom? She might not have lost her mind entirely like yours did, but she's certainly always been insane."

Hrun (named after the river in the ukraine she was found closeby of), magically adopted by the Rosalie and Emmet Hale of one universe. Not At All interested in being fashionable like her mother, thank you very much. Long-lived mostly-human. Goes into the magical world when her mother is the victim of an accident (pre-story similar to this).

(Re-)Nesme, half-vampire biological child of Bella and Edward from another universe. Perfect poster child, except she's quite done being that, thank you very much.

Travel around with the similar-aged Felicitas and Christina for a while, plan on joining Central as soon as they are of age. Hrun likes to hang out with the 'much cooler' Ally the alley ghost or Desiree and Delilah, Nesme is fast friends with Alice from 1-E1, happy to leave Hrun to her brooding- and yet, they keep coming back to each other.

Venessa ('Nesme'), Vera and Nessie - different universes' versions of Renesmee Swan Cullen.

Nesme joined Central quite young- teenage rebellion to get away from her parents, one might say (while physically full grown, she wasn't yet an adult in numbers)- and befrien(emie)ded Rhun Hale a few universes over. Now, in her twenties, she is a full-time member of Central and goes on mostly intelligence gathering missions in new 'verses.

Vera and Nessie body-swapped cross-universe as infants. As they have since grown up in their respective swapped bodies, they each consider their new bodies and lifes their own- even Vera whose life took a tragic turn when her universe shattered unexpectedly when she was mere weeks old. As Central's protocol is to first get a hold of everyone who has travelled cross-universe in the past to ensure that their people survive, Vera was one of the few survivors. Adopted by a siyee species with a shorter lifespan, they thought their presence made her age faster, and, knowing that this was wrong for a human (not knowing that she was in fact a half vampire) they managed to slow down her aging process.

Vera is shy, a little bouncy at times, sometimes she gets loud and excited and then quiets down embarrassedly. She is curious, kind. She is happy to have Nesme as an older sister of sorts, even though Venessa is gruff and distance at times. She is even happier to gain Nessie as a 'twin'. Vera never resents her for having taken her place in the universe that didn't fall apart, she is fine with her own life.

Nessie is confused about her entire existence. While physically she looks Vera's age- about 13- she is barely seven years old. Her half-vampire mind might work faster than a human's, but she still has to learn things, and she is especially wary around other people, never quite having been allowed to socialise until she too was given the opportunity to slow her aging process when she was five years of age, which she gratefully accepted. She often gazes at people, trying to figure them out, stands in the back of a room but can't help standing out.

Venessa and Nessie (her current body) are twin universals, but Nesme used to colour her hair lighter to look less like her mother, and Nessie colours hers darker to look more like her aunties Alice and Alicia. Vera ('s current body) is not a twin- but a sister universal of them, looking more like her father than like her mother.

All three are happy with their existence as half-vampires.
