hello lovely demons ! after a chat, the pair of us have come up with some rule changes to hopefully work out better for everyone here:

starting now, our activity rule will be to post in character at least every 10 days. any character that is 10 days inactive or further will be auto unfollowed/reopened without a friendly warning like we've been doing.

we will also no longer be having regular activity checks. instead we will be posting weekly interest checks from the main. players will have 24 hours to react to that otherwise risk unfollow.

since we have been around for over a year now, we think that a shift in rules is important to maintain the longevity of the roleplay. please know that we still want this to be an active place, but we understand almost everyone here has a lot going on and would rather you here and not be stressed, than have to leave due to too many things on your plate and a tight activity rule.

 hello  demons  !  per  the  poll  ,  we  will  be  moving  to  arc  4  on  july  5th  at  7pm  est  /  6pm  cst.  a  few  things  to  note  going  into  arc  4:

 all  threads  from  arc  3  will  need  to  be  dropped  by  this  time  /  date.  while  we  understand  activity  will  lapse  closer  to  the  date,  this  is  not  a  pass  to  completely  drop  threads  /  activity  across  the  board  over  the  next  two  weeks.  activity  checks  will  still  occur  until  closer  to  the  jump,  and  we  expect  full  activity  within  days  of  the  new  arc  beginning.  please  use  this  time  to  finish  threads  /  plots  /  communicate  with  your  plot  partners.

 our  characters  will  be  experiencing  a  6  month  time  skip,  putting  us  in  early  spring  in  highgarden  for  the  tournament  of  the  roses.  more  info  on  all  this  event  specifically  will  be  shared  closer  to  the  jump.  we  will  begin  immediately  in  the  event.

 please  send  all  significant  updates  to  the  main,  remember  certain  plots  are  first  come,  first  served.  be  sure  you  have  communicated  with  all  involved,  and  utilize  the  family  chats  when  comfortable  to  ensure  players  are  well  aware  of  what  is  happening  with  characters  they  share  houses  with.  if  we  notice  players  failing  to  update  all  involved  parties  there  will  be  admin  intervention.

 while  we  understand  not  everyone  is  the  strongest  at  plotting,  we’ve  noticed  several  instances  of  players  not  even  trying.  everyone  should  be  reacting  to  plot  with  new  players  /  characters,  and  everyone  should  be  monitoring  their  dms  and  not  continually  ignoring  /  dropping  them.  this  is  the  last  kind  warning  before  direct  dms  are  sent  to  players  we’ve  seen  this  repeat  behavior  in.  characters  have  been  lumped  together  3  times  now,  plots  should  not  be  limited  to  only  those  with  immediate  connections.  if  your  only  threads  are  with  the  members  your  character  shares  a  house  with  /  is  related  to  /  wcs  /  a  ship  /  the  same  characters  consistently,  there  is  a  problem.

hello  everyone  !  in  our  server  we  voted  upon  if  you’d  like  to  do  memes,  and  given  that  most  voted  for  yes  we  will  now  be  implementing  meme  weekends  with  a  few  guidelines  !

unless  these  memes  are  made  into  ic  threads,  they  will  not  count  towards  activity.

you  don’t  have  to  participate  in  the  memes  if  you  don’t  want  to,  we’ll  never  force  it.  that  being  said,  send  memes  before  you  answer  them.  if  we  see  that  it’s  turning  cliquey  /  more  are  getting  more  than  others  we  will  shut  the  meme  weekends  down.

the  first  meme  day  will  start  today,  and  end  june  10th.  following  this,  they  will  only  be  on  the  weekends  meaning  you  can  reblog  /  respond  to  memes  during  the  weekends  only.  this  is  meant  to  be  fun,  but  will  not  replace  activity  and  so  that  it  doesn’t  get  overwhelming  for  people  that  don’t  want  to  participate.

please  reblog  the  memes  provided  on  @reignrbs​  only.  we  will  allow  submissions  of  memes.  when  answering  memes,  please  have  some  sort  of  tag  indicating  that  it  is  a  meme  response.  we  will  tag  the  memes  rfms.memes.

we  have  noticed  in  some  instances,  ooc  only  knowledge  being  spoken  of  ic.  as  we  talk  about  future  possibilities  with  muses  and  joke  around  about  things  in  the  discord  server,  just  remember  certain   things  aren’t  ic  knowledge  yet  and  if  you  have  a  question  about  if  it  is  or  not,  shoot  that  mun  a  quick  dm  and  ask  !  it’s  hard  to  keep  up  with  what  is  and  isn’t  known  at  all  times.

when  adding  a  betrothal  /  deciding  on  one,  please  remember  to  speak  to  everyone  involved  which  includes  the  heads  of  houses  if  you  want  it  to  be a  betrothal  that  comes  from  the  ruling  liege,  lord,  or  lady.  it  does  contribute  to  godmodding  if  the  other  person  is  unaware  of  what’s  going  on.

the  discord  is  completely  optional.  if  you  ever  find  it  to  be  too overwhelming,  you  don’t  have  to  remain  in  it  and  no  questions  will  be  asked  !  if  you’d  ever  like  to  return  to  it,  you’re  more  than  welcome  to.

we’ve noticed in the past for events people have tended to focus only on closed starters, leaving open starters with maybe two replies which is definitely not okay ! we won’t be allowing this to continue, so please prioritize replying to opens for the event and from now on whether you plan to post one or not.

as mentioned in the server, event 4 will be happening tonight at 6pm cst. another post WILL be made around that time but feel free to post anything you have prepared before waiting for it ! please check out it’s post here for details if you need a refresher.

we have a few housekeeping things to touch base on, which is why this is seeing an admin note.

as of this post, we will be going back to FULL activity rules. this means replying to TWO different players in seven days, per character, not blog. consider this an unofficial notice that all players should be sure they are active within the next 24 hours.

while i don’t often warn people about activity checks, there will be one tomorrow. this isn’t meant to take characters of people who want to be here, but to make sure everyone is on the same page of activity. 

all new blogs / characters must be posted on IN CHARACTER within 24 hours of being followed / accepted. this does not mean an intro, it means a post. as all new characters get a free starter, you can easily use it this way.

we are monitoring for things like selective writing / bubbling. this is a group roleplay and all players should make an effort to be writing with EVERYONE. 

we’ve seen a trend of people only reacting for certain players in things like the plotting/starter call channels. this is unfair to other players as this is completely selective behavior. please, please, please be sure you are giving the SAME attention to all members when it comes to plotting and writing, not just specific people or romantic pairings. other things we’ve noticed are selective replies, clear favoritism, dropping dms, minimal to no effort in plotting with only some players, replying to some players immediately while others wait weeks, and plenty of other things.

we have and do notice things like players who take specific interest in certain plots/players, plot well with some players and not at all with others, and thread quickly for certain threads and not others. if this behavior continues we will begin issuing strikes and if needed, unfollowing people for such behavior. again, this is a group roleplay, nobody likes being ignored or made to feel like they aren’t worth effort but others are. whether you feel like this applies to you or not, please make the effort to look at your plotting/writing efforts and realize who you may be leaving out.

we understand the holidays take people away, and we never want someone to sacrifice their personal life for this roleplay. however, the holidays are over and unless you are on hiatus, we will be cracking down on a lot of things we have been passive with throughout the season.  please toss a like to this post so we can see who has read it / make sure it’s been seen !

 hello  all  !  just  a  little  housekeeping  that  we  forgot  to  put  in  the  arc  details  +  some  rule  changes  :

 firstly,  going  into  arc  4,  everyone  will  need  to  switch  to  the  beta  editor  permanently.  

 we’re  aware  a  lot  of  people  have  been  busy,  but  please  keep  in  mind  consistently  only  posting  twice  per  character  in  a  week  hurts  your  chances  of  picking  up  new  muses,  and  puts  you  at  risk  of  being  asked  to  drop  ones  currently  played.

 the  rules  for  picking  up  characters  will  be  shifting  !  the  requirement  to  fill  wcs  will  be  leaving,  and  instead  we  now  just  highly  encourage  picking  up  fcoc,  filling  current  houses,  and  trying  to  fill  open  wcs.  all  new  characters  will  be  at  admin  discretion,  but  we  still  will  be  monitoring  picking  up  wcs  /  characters  that  are  connected  to  the  same  players  consistently.  branch  out  to  others,  this  is  a  group  +  we’re  all  here  to  write  together  !

 on  the  note  of  new  characters,  we  will  be  putting  a  pause  on  picking  them  up  until  the  new  arc  begins.  we  will  be  offering  extended  reservations  for  fcs  /  houses  /  wcs  in  the  meantime.  however,  again,  be  sure  you  are  plenty  active  in  order  to  pick  up  these  new  characters  coming  into  arc  4.

an addition has been made to the rules, and we also want to point out what was already present in regard to picking up new characters :

consistent activity does not just consist of writing closed/open starters. we expect replies to these to show you can continue a thread and not just start them.

new characters will not be granted to players on hiatus, inactive muses within the prior 7 days, or who are only posting the bare minimum of 2 posts per 7 days ( we expect at least 3-4 active threads per character )

new characters are looked at on a case by case basis and overall activity is considered, not just recent behavior. we’ve seen a habit of people posting way more in a brief period only to pick up a new muse and go back to consistent inactivity and this is not fair nor something we will allow.

for characters past the initial 3, it will now be required to fill wcs of players you have not filled many for in the past, and a heavy emphasis on filling current houses and using fcoc.

as stated in a previous admin note, the admins also look at who actively writes and interacts with people that they haven’t before. this includes plotting, writing starters for a new pairing, etc. if there are reports of dms dropped or given special attention to only connections that directly relate to your muse or muses, we will be hesitant to allow you a new one. a group environment is meant to foster new connections that you may not have originally thought of when creating your muse, and allow everyone to branch out and write with everyone.

hey all ! we have made the decision to allow all new players more time to acclimate to the rp, as it can be a little overwhelming to those just joining on. from now on all new players will be given 48 hours to post ic before being placed on an activity check and only unfollowed if they fail to post after that. ( meaning, new players have 72 hours to post ic before they are unfollowed ) as always if you join and need more time, please let us know ! we’re happy to work with people within reason. so if you’ve been hesitant to join due to that quick time restraint , now’s the time to give us a chance !

* for new characters to current players, the rule will remain to post 24 hours after that character has been accepted.

* and as a reminder by post we mean an ic interaction (reply/starter) not an intro.

welcome to dorne

within the months after all were released home from winterfell the ravens begin arriving. a royal wedding is to be had. the ruling princess of dorne invites all far and wide to witness her son, crown prince ryon martell, bind his life to the lady of the arbor, denyse redwyne. the festivities promise fun, merriment, fine wine and food, and the wedding of the new year. 

who could turn such a thing down?

arc iii begins with characters descending upon dorish sands in sunspear for the wedding of denyse redwyne + ryon martell ! our characters will have been traveling between days to months, sailing or riding, but we start when the last of everyone has arrived. 

this does not immediately begin the event, but a roughly two week period ooc of settling in writing / catching up on the 3 months characters have been parted from one another. ic it’s about a week prior to the wedding, festivities and feasts will occur nightly.

all characters will be staying at sunspear, either in the keep or in nearby fine places. 

as usual everyone gets one free open, and we do ask that you try to write with everyone and don’t just focus on closed starters.

all threads from prior to this arc must be dropped.

remember this is an inclusive group ! we do monitor people who are not giving equal effort to write with others and will message when we deem appropriate.

as the holidays descend, we wanted to post an official reminder on main about our activity breaks this season.

please be sure to post at least once per character, per 7 days, in order to maintain your roles. failure to post can result in unfollows/re-openings without warning if they reach past 7 days. ( please still try to post to more than one person, we don’t take bubbling lightly )

weekly interest checks will be posted in the server, while we HIGHLY suggest everyone reacts to this, it is the most important for those that may be inactive over all or only on select characters. if you are reacting consistently + we notice you are slipping in activity, we will dm you ! if you are not reacting + go inactive, you may be unfollowed without warning.

to pick up new characters you will still have to be passing the normal activity rules for more characters ( meaning at least 3-4 posts per character to multiple players ) 

as always if something comes up, please let us know ! we are extending the usual hiatus limit to 3 weeks for this busy season.

starting early january we will go back to normal activity rules ( probably by the second week )

The bubble rping and people ignoring people has gotten really bad

with the busy holiday season we have definitely seen this sort of behavior pick up, and while we did offer a more lenient structure to activity because we know people get busy during this time, all that will be ending officially when event 4 starts on wednesday. there will be another post then to address everything we have seen / will be watching ( in fact, it’s sitting in the main drafts rn ), but for now i want you to know you are heard, we are absolutely planning to crack down on such behaviors, and know that this specific behavior does not go unnoticed.

for now, i want everyone to take this as a push to watch your own actions + even if you may not be trying to ignore people, doing things like selectively reacting to plotting / starter calls, not putting in effort to actually plot with others, dropping dms, only replying to romantic / specific threads, quickly replying to the same players / threads but not others, and a whole host of other things can make someone feel completely left out. we understand when things like this are a few instances, but when it becomes pattern there is an issue. be mindful of your actions as a whole, and make sure you’re not doing anything that could make people feel left out / ignored.

as the joust concluded , so do the vibrant festivities welcoming all to highgarden. many areas are still open to visitors , but now is time for the real work to begin. lead by king aedar , talks of peace begin with each ruling royal and their chosen companions. over the next few weeks they shall begin to involve the ruling nobles of each region who will be responsible for communicating with their vassals as they see fit. only the fates know how this will go from here.

you can continue any threads you wish, but no new threads regarding the event may begin. please do not reply to open starters regarding the event, new threads should focus on the peace talks beginning. each player can have one free starter should they wish to use it.
