Q: What fictional world would you love to visit? I have a new product coming to my Etsy store which is NOT A BOOKMARK (though you could use it as a bookmark!) They're postcards for fictional locations! Well, postcard for now. We'll see how these go. This first one is for Terrasen! It started as a bit of a side project I did for fun. I wanted to try watercolour-ish painting in procreate so so set out to do this and... it turned out so much better than I was expecting! I'm quite shocked and impressed with myself 😂 It's TERRIFYING putting it not only out in the world, but also putting it up for sale so I hope you guys like it as much as I do! 🦌 PRODUCT DETAILS 🦌 These postcards are roughly 4x6 inches in size, printed on 300gsm card, and are matte laminated. Q: Paranormal this or that! Vampires 🧛‍♀️ or Werewolves 🐺 Necromancers 🧟‍♀️ or Mediums 🔮 Half Demons 😈or Poltergeists 👻 Witches 🧙‍♀️ or Sorcerers 🧙‍♂️ My anwers is all of the above 😂 These paranormal creatures are all main characters in at least one of Kelley Armstrong's Otherworld books! It's such a big and wonderful urban fantasy world. Urban fantasy/ paranormal is actually a genre I used to LOVE, but haven't read much of over the past few years. I'm finally getting back into them and LOVING it! Q: Recommendation time! Recommend me some of your favourite diverse fantasy reads! If you can't think of a fantasy, recommend me another diverse book from any genre 😊 Sherry Thomas's YA fantasy novels are my recs! I loved Magnolia Sword, which is a retelling of the Ballad of Mulan. Q: What strategies do you use to help stick to your buying ban? I'm trying something new this year. My main reading goal is to get through more physical books from the TBR pile of books I already own so I came out with a reward system that also restricts the number of new books I buy. I have a blog post and tik tok video that goes into more detail about how this is supposed to work, but essentially when I finish a book I get a certain amount of money added to a book buying fund. When I buy a new book, I have to subtract the cost from that fund.
