Rey opens her mouth: “She--”

“I also hear,” he interrupts, “you stole her son’s heart with words and wiles.” His eyebrows raise and there’s a sparkle in his eye.

“This is the first I’ve heard of it,” Rey says, honestly. Her skin is suddenly chilled. It’s untrue, it’s categorically untrue. “Supreme Leader Ren and I have ever only been at odds.” The half truth burns.

“You destabilized the galaxy with those pretty eyes of yours,” he simpers. “Take some pride.”

Do you remember this?

What if this really happened to Kylo Ren on his time, I mean, he sees a girl, he is the only one that saw her, and suddenly as she appears before him, she is gone.

This leaves him with questions obviously, but time passess and he still doesn't know who was that girl. Until one day, when they are looking for certain droid, Mitaka tells him that the droid and the trooper were accompanied by a girl, and this send him on the mission of "looking for the droid" when we all know what he did when he found the girl ;).

I mean, if that vision didn't mean something, why bother to show us!

And then, when they are fighting on the forest he says "it's you"... I MEAN COME ON!!! It's you??? WHOOO, the certain girl he was so intrigued by???¿¿¿¡¡¡!!

Also we all know that he already has "churning emotions" about her, right???

So, what if he knows her since that time under the rain, maybe it was the first time they saw each other. And that's why he kidnapped her on Takodana and forgot about everything but her.

The spice is too much, too powerful. Wincing, the truth spills out of her. “Why did you save me from Snoke?”

Kylo sways, looking as off balance as she feels. Seemingly selecting his words carefully: “I wanted to be free from him.”

She knows it’s not the whole truth, she knows he’s fighting the spice as hard as she is. “That’s all?”

In three strides, he’s pressed against her, towering above. “Why do they say you seduced me?” It’s a non-answer, and it’s terrifying.

“Why do you think?”

“I don’t know,” he says breathless, and his formidable body becomes limp. He looks lost. “Didn’t you?”

A stunning commission from @kiddohah for my Reylo Fanfiction Anthology fic. 

“I have a gift for you,” the Commander, the dark mirror to Rey, says, walking towards a rich curtain covering the wall. “Or is it perhaps,” she says to herself, “a gift for me?”

She rips the curtain aside to show a small room behind it. To show Rey, bound and gagged and wide-eyed.

It’s like all the air in the room is gone, sucked out into space, and Kylo can’t breathe-- he can’t-- She’s there, she’s been there for how long, and she’s-- she’s-- His mind is erratic, a chaotic place, until rage, pure rage, takes root and even without the Force, he feels powerful. Rising to his feet, he hisses: “Cut her bonds at once.”

The Commander watches him, pure glee on her face. “Is she not your enemy?” she says. “The last Jedi your galaxy has spat out and rebel scum as well? Wouldn’t you like to see her dead?”

It’s fast, it’s too fast, the word coming out of his mouth and he can’t take it back once it is said: “No.” He’s looking at her, looking into Rey’s eyes, and his heart beats in double time.

There’s a laugh that starts low and builds. “As if you could kill such a girl,” and the Commander pivots, her back to Kylo, and she touches Rey’s face. “As if I would ever let you.” Carefully, she loosens the gag, and pulls it away from Rey’s mouth. “Hello, pretty,” she says and grips Rey’s chin. “I’ve been dying to get my hands on you.” And with that, Kylo sees her swiftly and surely press her mouth to Rey’s. A welcoming kiss. Rey seems frozen in place at this strange intimacy, neither moving nor responding. His hands are fists, discomfort making his skin tingle.

The Commander pulls away with a broad grin, and puts her hands on her hips. “I do hope there is more of that in our future, I’m ever so good at--”

“Why are you here?” Rey says, cutting through the bullshit so fast that it takes Kylo’s breath away. “I want answers, real ones.”

“I can see why you’re in love with her, Ben,” the Commander says, and both Kylo and Rey flinch at the words. Rage seethes inside of him and he can see Rey’s mouth tighten. “I’m in love with her myself.” The Commander runs her finger along Rey’s cheek. “Been leaving all kinds of breadcrumbs for you.”

He swallows, realizing he isn’t her endgame: Rey is.
