@wcrldlyadventures / @rewriteshistory said: “dude. i’m your only friend.” (Dewey @ Louie)
that guy is so cool
“I am well aware of this.” Huey had his Woodchuck scout group, Dewey had his multitude of friends from the neighborhood and school, and Louie? Louie just had his brothers. More specifically, he just had Dewey.
“Does my only friend have something nice to say to me?”

;; Dewey of @rewriteshistory , from here
He’s way too old and mature - another year wiser, and all that - to get overexcited about his birthday, a day he has to share with two other ducklings, but that doesn’t stop his tail from flip-flopping with excitement. Uncle Gladstone never forgot a birthday, and always had the best gifts.
“That’s me, it’s my birthday! And Huey’s and Louie’s, that makes three somebodies!”
“ So it does ! Three somebodies turning a year older ! ”
He’s just as excited to see his nephew as the other way around, ready to celebrate, and happy to be welcomed by his favorite part of his family — the kids. He playfully ruffles Dewey’s hair in greeting.
“ And it just so happens that I’ve brought gifts for three somebodies ! ”

❛ look— don’t you get it? i screwed up! ❜ (Dewey)
There you go, poetry. | @rewriteshistory |
There’s a serious pause, then Scrooge beckons the young one over with his hand. “Aright, come here. Teaching uncle moment.” Or whatever he should call it. He waits a moment before setting his hand down on Dewey’s shoulder.
“Lad, this is nae’ th’ end of th’ world. Trust me, we’ve seen what that looks like by nao. If we never screwed up, we would never learn anythin’. What ye can take away from this is how much keepin’ secrets hurts th’ people around ye.” He pauses. “Ye know th’ way ye felt about my secrets, don’t let that happen tae’ th’ people ye love.”

“ guess i got carried away “ (Dewey)
lyric starters { @rewriteshistory }
“You did,” the elder mused, and green eyes studied their surroundings. It looked as though a ‘domino’ effect had occurred in his internet show studio. She wondered if all of his shows we as eventful, and made a mental note to find and watch a few past ones later.
“But it was impressive.” Dewey occasionally reminded her of a much younger, more reckless Scrooge. Considering that, she had no reason to pretend the trait bothered her.

The duckling looks up at the face pats, and laughes in that peeping sort of way she’ll probably outgrow. And then she hugged him to return to affection! Because that is only fair.

“Skimming around what the problem is is actually making me more stressed than the actual problem. Just tell me I’m sure it’s not as bad as your trying to not make it out to be. It’ll probably be a breeze to fix.”

That’s what all the grown-ups always said. How did they always know what he was planning before even he knew it sometimes? Especially considering how many of his master plans were completely improvised. It was like Grandma had had years of practice looking after mischievous ducklings or something.
“Not always. There was the time with the goat, remember?” Of course, in retrospect, that scheme seemed less like he’d finally managed to pull one over on Grandma, and more like she let himself get into trouble to teach himself a lesson or build character or something.
“Nanny is a sweet old girl. I knew she wouldn’t hurt you.” Yes. Elvira was very aware of that mess before it happened. But over the years she’s learned to pick her battles.
She sets a hand down on Dewey’s head ans ruffles his hair. “Your grandpa Quackmore pulled that same stunt when he was just about your age. Thought it would get him out of doin’ his chores.”

Send 📱 To Find Out About My Muse's Phone | NO LONGER ACCEPTING |
What ringtone my muse has set for yours: Stand Out - Powerline
What contact photo my muse has set for yours:
What my muse thinks of the way yours texts: Max has trained in the art of deciphering Dewey’s emojis. Dewey will sometimes just send him a bunch of emojis or memes or a video of a vine/tik tok and Max will be able to tell what he means in a second.
How quickly my muse responds to your texts: fairly quickly. If they’re already talking Max will respond almost immediately after Dewey. If a text goes unanswered for a while he either fell asleep or he forgot.
How often our muses text: often!!! almost every day! if they don’t see each other, theyre texting. If Dewey’s on an adventures with good bars, they try to text.
How often our muses call: not so much call-calling, but they face time, it’s easier to voice call that way.
Does my muse purposefully miss calls from yours: nooooooo!!! even if he was made at Dewey for some reason, he’d say sometimes like ‘hey i just need a bit, i’ll get back to you’ he’d never leave him hanging on purpose.
Last text sent from my muse to yours: [in response to Dewey’s ‘When Mom’s not home’ vine] I’ll be there in 15 minutes. Don’t eat all the snacks without me.

@wcrldlyadventures / @rewriteshistory said: “Won’t we get in trouble?“ (Dewey @ Louie)
Kiki! Look! It’s me!
“Ooohh, yeah, gooosh. I guess we could get in trouble if we didn’t have a multi-point plan that covers every single one of our options.” Louie sighed deeply, picking up a flashcard and handing it to his brother.
“Step number one; act like you belong and you will belong. We just have to act like we’re supposed to be here. Don’t look so nervous. Just ... relax.”

@wcrldlyadventures / @rewriteshistory said: “Turns out, Uncle Donald was really good at keeping secrets.” (Dewey @ Max)
I’ll start at the beginning, with the house.
“Seems like it.” Max never thought their cooky and weird family friends would have so many dark secrets buried under the surface. He leaned over Dewey’s shoulder, looking at the mass of papers in his friend’s hands.
“I mean, how did you not know any of this stuff? I lost my mom too, but everyone knows how she died.” Car accident, it happened to the best of them. “But Dad talks about her when I ask. How did you never know a single thing about her?”

“ i’m so glad that’s over let’s go eat taco bell ” (Dewey @ Louie)
Goodbye, ghosts. I love you. | @rewriteshistory |
Louie quickly took the moment his brother was talking to reach up and grab onto his cheek feathers, snuffing out the last tiny flame that clung to him. He was never going to grow whiskers if he kept this up.
“Please, oh my God, I need nachos.”

“I DON’T WANT YOUR PROMISES!” Louie snapped, fighting the urge to give this brother a good ol’ shove away. “I can do this by myself! I can get the treasure myself! I don’t need you to protect me!”
“Just let me do this!”

“Where have you been? Everybody thought you were dead.” (Dewey @ Louie)
I have been falling, for thirty minutes! | @rewriteshistory |
“Well, that’s because Llewelyn Duck died … psshhh probably ten years ago.” The pirate sat in one of the chairs in the cargo part of his plane, which he had turned into a makeshift living area. He had an ice pack placed on his head, after all these years his brother could still pack a nasty punch. Louie drummed his free hand against the arm of his chair, taking a deep breath before sighing.
“Look, I’ve - I’ve been places. Millie and I ran away, that much you know. We’ve been here and there and … finally we settled here.” He didn’t want to get into the grimy details. “Hey, you put up a pretty good fight for that treasure back here.” He leaned back in his chair, placing a hand behind his head. “How about we split it and go on a merry ways? Pretend we never saw each other?”

@rewriteshistory cont.
Nervous eyes went down to the map that he held within his shaking hand. Oh, this wasn’t right at all, he could’ve sworn they were on the right path. He really tried this time. Like, really, really tried! Now there was no path beneath their feet and Louie was getting really worried. But it was okay! Dewey was there and Dewey would aways --
His usual ... fit? Almost every ounce of fear in Louie’s system dissolved into anger as he lifted his fist and collided it with Dewey’s shoulder.
“Usual fit!? What’s that supposed to mean?!” A finger jabbed against his brother’s chest. “You think you’re SOO brave, don’t you? You think you’re so good at adventuring? Well here!” He shoves the map into Dewey’s hands before putting his hands in his pockets. “You get unlost yourself.” He then put his hands into his hoodie pockets, turned his back to his brother and huffed off in the other direction.
