i've been rewatching "you" show for like almost a week and i really hate the whole plot of season 4 and what a nothingburger it was

Dramatics aside it's the sort of show that sticks with you forever. I'd say don't watch it if you're going through something right now but also if you do... It'll just be that much more impactful 😭 I watched it in high school and I'm now in my 3rd year of uni, still tearing up whenever I think too hard about it.

It's a genuinely beautiful show. Not faithful to the book but Mike Flanagan's version is gutwrenching; you can tell how much thought and passion he put into creating the show. The adult actors are phenomenal - what with the amazing Victoria Pedretti who debuted with this show and did so incredibly - but so are the child actors, who were surprisingly good given how challenging some of the episodes were to film. Every scene is a delight to watch as you learn more and more about the Crain family and the trauma they experienced living in Hill House, and how that trauma affected the entirety of their adult lives. There are so many details you can miss during your first watch but once you do notice them you're left in awe of how good the show is. The music is hauntingly (lol) beautiful, the horror aspect of the show is great, the story itself and the main theme of it stays with you long after finishing the series. Basically I could not recommend THOHH enough. It's my go-to recommendation for a show and anyone who hasn't watched it (cough cough VIVI) is missing out big time. Genuinely Netflix's underappreciated gem. I love it so much

Also: among the five Crain siblings that the story follows there's like a 99% chance you'll find The One that is painfully relatable to you in a way you can't put into words. Be on the lookout for The One if you do end up watching thohh ;)

Also hey. While I'm on my THOHH rewatch. It's demonic of Flanagan to have 1) turned the lesbian-coded characters into sisters and 2) to have placed the "whose hand was I holding?" scene with child Theo thinking she's holding child Nell's hand. I genuinely hate this man so much. Sorry

person of interest: my ultimate Fave Show. i never rewatched any other show as many times in my life, i could talk about it for hours at any given moment and root is my fave character of all time (hence the icon). i doubt any show and character will ever be as important to me ngl this sounds very lame but it's a part of me now

the haunting of hill house: it's my annual therapy session i think nothing else helped me with grief as much as this show so it's very dear to me. i specifically mean thohh to be clear. i'm not into bly manor and generally flanagan is a hit or miss for me but thohh i do adore. two storms is my fave episode of tv after person of interest's if-then-else

the good place: EMOTIONAL SUPPORT SITCOM BEST TV FINALE OF ALL TIME. means so much to me

killing eve: s4 doesn't exist to me whatsoever and s3 is on thin ice but god there will never be anything like this again. villanelle and eve are some of the most characters of all time

russian doll: MEANS SO MUCH TO ME. you may not know this because i haven't actually blogged about it all that much but i feel deeply understood by this show and it's tone and emotional punches and humor are out of this world. it's perfectly crafted - both seasons - and brilliant

orphan black: finally watched all of it last year and it's actually quite a satisfying ending. it lost me for a good while cause the plot got too convoluted and it became tiring to watch but i'm still attached to the characters and s1 continues to be one of the best seasons of television of all time

lost: listen i'm one of the rare people who actually liked the ending and i love those characters sooooo much i think in terms of Good Characters it's such a great show. made me cry so many times
