i think a re-separation of good/bad guy from antagonist/protagonist would do a lot for internet discourse
#ptp#the whole waaaaaah this story is about a ‘bad’ person so the story is toxic#the whole must simplify this character down to their base most memeable traits so they can be sorted into the moralism box#etc#believe it or not given my current fixation#this is not about the puréed tomato#rewatching ar/cane with a friend rn and going into the tag was a mistake#*embittered gravel voice* it’s always a mistake#my second thought is that sometimes a work ISNT trying to make some grand statement#and dont get me wrong i love larger themes woven into stories#but sometimes concepts are just presented to you and YOURE asked to come to your own conclusion#and doing this well is difficult because you have to present multiple conclusions that are all substantiated in the worl#work damn it not retyping that#and thats why i love the show#anyway
