Today we lost an incredible and unbelievably talented human being:

Shichiro Kobayashi was one of the best art directors and background designers Japan has had. His works elevated anime in a way no one else could do. He has been a part of my life for so long and it’s devastating not having him anymore. Anime has lost a legend today.

A couple of my favorite works of his as art director were:

How is Pride month I wanted to talk about this beautiful scene from de anime movie: Adolescence of Utena

Here we go,to begin I´m going to say that this is one of the most beautiful scenes in a anime what I saw in my life and YES is between two girls:Anthy Himemiya and Utena Tenjou.

The dance,the song,the meaning of this scene is for me what makes it so beautiful.

The first time I watched this scene I was like:

``This is possible? A so beautiful scene between girls who isn´t sexualized and so romantic is between two girls and not a boy and a girl?´´

I was so in shock that something like this happened,I only watched something like this in the famous hand scene in Sailor Moon S between Haruka and Michiru and it directed for the same director Ikuhara,If you don´t know what I´´m talking about I´m going to show you some screenshots:

I wasn´t used to watch something so beautiful like that scene and see I was wrong.

I don´t want to talk about what is happening between this scene because I want who is reading this watch the movie,give it a opportunity.This movie has a lot of symbolims and so complex like the anime,I can say is more complex than the anime and more than the manga(this scene in the manga never happens the manga is other interpretation).

The only things that I´m going to say is this scene demostrate a lot of things like :two girls chosing to be together to left apart that fairytales of princes saving the damsel in distress and make them saving themselves because they have the power and will to do it and with this the acceptance of the adulthood)

And to end this what makes this scene more and more beautiful the lyrics of the song.

The title of the song is ``Toki ni ai wa´´what means,at times loves is strong.This song is so beautiful sung with beautiful parts like:

-``at times love is strong,so much it even wounds people´s hearts´´

-``if we are together,then whithout a doubt,we can change the world,and everything will become one power´´
