I don't care for kisses hugs are the ultimate PDA and just DA in general
Because there's just something so Special about letting someone hold onto you, to feel each others' breath and heartbeat, to be embraced in the warm of a safe place we're while it might not be true, you feel protected from anything
And You are sure you're not alone, not anymore

GOING TO AN ESCAPE ROOM WITH ENHYPEN !
PAIRING: boyfriend!enha x gn!reader. GENRE: established relationship, fluff, crack. WARNINGS: profanity (not that much tho), mentions of death (?). WORD COUNT: 100 - 200 each member.
HEESEUNG:
the two of you were so pumped playing an escape room together for the first time that the other people in line had to calm you guys down (which was trully embarrassing to say the least 🤐🤐)
he was looking at the ranking board filled with pictures of players that had succeeded in the shortest amount of time and he just wanted nothing more than to see both your faces on there
but anyways, we all know how competitive heeseung gets 🕴️
oh boy let me tell you, this guy WAS SPEEDRUNNING IT but not the kind you were thinking
the second the timer had started he was literally SPRINTING AROUND THE ROOM LOOKING FOR CLUES YET COMPLETELY MISSING THEM 🏃♂️💨💨💨
while he was busy running around, you were picking up the little details in the room and in no time managed to open a few locks
"y/n look i found– oh 😐😑😐"
HE WAS SULKING PLSSS 😭😭😭
when you noticed him standing from afar staring at you with his arms crossed, you called him to solve this one puzzle you already did
*gasps* "oh no! babe i don't understand how to do this, please help me 😔😔🤥🙏🙏"
he had to bite his lower lip to stop himself from letting out that cocky grin but it got out eventually
"oh it's so easy sweetheart, just put this here and then voila! 😉"
when the two of you escaped you suprisingly got to take a polaroid with him home after ranking 2nd in the records
heeseung was the one who held onto it tho, placing it underneath his clear phonecase for safekeeping <3
JAY:
GOD THIS DUDE
THE ESCAPE ROOM WASN'T EVEN THAT SCARY AND YET EVERYTIME YOU GUYS OPEN A LOCK OR A DOOR HIS FIGHT OR FLIGHT INSTINCTS COME UP 😭😭👊👊
"y/n stay behind me >:(("
"um, babe, you do realize that's just a door right?"
"WE'LL BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY?? THE STAFF COULD'VE PROGRAMMED IT TO GROW LEGS?? 😵🧐🧐"
you knew you shouldn't have played horror games with him a few nights ago cause he looked like he was about to lose his mind 😔
you had to shove his ass aside and move on to the next mission cause the both of you knew that he was stalling 🏌️♀️
jay was being extra clingy the whole time you were playing, he'd either link arms with you or hold hands (he's literally so adorable) 💞💞
BUT THEN YOU THOUGHT OF DOING A PRANK ON HIM
while you were roaming around the room trying to solve a puzzle, you saw this horse mask on a nearby table
and so you made sure jay was distracted and put on the mask
you could've NOT worn the dusty old thing but where was the fun in that?
"jay can you come here for a sec?"
you hid behind the wall beside the door frame waiting for him to come into your sight and attacked him
now, how about we guess what happens next?
a. he faints
b. he runs away
or c. he slaps you in the face and forces you to buy him food for the rest of the night
if you guessed c then YAY! YOU'RE CORRECT 🥳🎉🎉🎊
THIS HOE SLAPS YOU AS HE SHOULD
"$##/@+(+'£%(:?!!)&£**/*%@"
when he finally takes off the mask like those scenes in scooby doo he's never felt so betrayed in his life
"i- I TRUSTED YOU 😭😭😭 YOU BETTER BUY ME FOOD LATER, I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS, THE BETRAYAL???? LITERALLY UNPROVOKED?????"
he wouldn't stop side eyeing you until you guys finally pulled up on the mcdonalds drive thru
"hi, can i get two um– bts meals please? 😒😒 and two oreo mc flurries 🙄🙄 and also large fries 😐😐"
sane (1/3)
would be trailing behind you like a little puppy (i love him so much 😭😭😭)
he either has his arm linked with yours or held hands every five minutes
JAKE:
really focused on the puzzles he's doing but the second he hears you call out his name for help he's there beside you with the sweetest smile
but anyways, mans was POPPING OFF the entire time you were playing
he was solving problem after problem in no time (he wanted to impress you is why he activated his inner flash ⚡⚡) but he did let you play tho, the last thing he wanted to do was make you pissed at him for hogging all the games
def buried jake with compliments and forehead kisses right after ❤️__❤️
and so the two of you got out in like an hour and a few which you were very proud of
"you were so cool today babe, good job !!"
"aww thank you angel 😊😊"
sane (2/3)
SUNGHOON:
would be linking pinkies with you the whole time, only letting go whenever the both of you had to solve something that needed two or more people
there was this one game tho where he had to arm wrestle this literal hand lever to open the door to the last room (yea...don’t ask why, the staffs were pretty weird 😬😬)
it made him enjoy the experience a bit more as it was only the two of you playing instead of getting accompanied by strangers
HGAWAHSGDHSGHDA PLSS THIS GUY
“oh this’ll be easy, y/n step aside, i’ll handle this 😏😏😏”
idk if you were supposed to think about how handsome he looked with his serious expression on and his veiny hands coming into frame or be worried for him because the lever was REAL HARD to pull that his veins looked like they were going to pop any second soon, you stepped in and helped him tho cause you were a good s/o <3
from a spectators point of view, the two of you looked like y’all were about shit your pants but the two of you eventually succeeded on beating it, immediately dragging him to the next room which had a sofa in it, laying down to catch your breaths
cliché moment ahead ⚠️⚠️
the two of you shared a few laughs before standing up on the empty space, held hands and started to jump in circles to celebrate your success 💃💃
yupp, y’all were never going back to that hellhole again
very stubborn at first, he wanted nothing to do with the game but then you held him at gunpoint by saying:
SUNOO:
"please just this once or else i'll revoke your mint choco ice cream rights 🔫🔫🔫"
"BUT IT'S SCARY IN THERE BABE :((("
"it won't be that scary sunshine, besides, i'll be ready to 🤜💥 yk?? trust me babe i would never let anyone hurt you <33"
kinda pissed since you blackmailed him into the place and also bc he wanted to play bumper cars and dance mania but he yea he caved in pretty quick 😋😋
(y/n let him play his games in peace tf >:(((( )
once you guys got in tho he realized how normal it was and that it was not terrifying at all
THE EPITOME OF CLINGY OMFG
he wouldn't stop back hugging you and you couldn't bring yourself to push him away to play the games so you just let him walk behind you with his arms on your shoulders 😩😩
(y'all were walking kinda funny but don't tell sunoo that 🤫🤫🤫)
yea the two of you ended up escaping with a whopping 2 hours and a few minutes
but it was the effort that counts so A+++++ for the both if you 😜👍👍👍
sane (3/3)
JUNGWON:
was the one who suggested going, he even searched on naver about really good escape room places to visit and was overall really looking forward it
he liked going to places and having fun with you so it wasn't a shock how his eyes were literally crescents and his dimples were so evident
yea he literally rushed the both of you to the place that you were the first in line 😵
while waiting for the staff to finish setting up he was playing with your connected hands like 🖐️✊🖐️✊ (so precious 💞💞)
"y/n why are you taking so long 😭😭 what if they close and we end up not solving a single lock, hurry up por favorrr 😩🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏"
when they finally lead you to the room he was kind of surprised that they had separated the two of you into different spaces (like the one with txt where they had the answers to the other member's puzzles yk???)
he was locked inside a telephone stand while you were handcuffed in the main room
dw the two of you reunited after a few minutes cause jungwon was rushing his lock to get to you 🤭
you both were progressing at an average pace and it made you guys a lot more closer (not that you guys weren't before but you get what i mean)
after you guys escaped the two of you went to eat curry and talked about the whole experience 😋✌️✌️✌️
this boy literally dragged you in the escape room with him
NIKI:
HE DIDN'T EVEN GIVE YOU TIME TO REFUSE HE JUST 😐👉🚪
"ok masterchefs, in order to test your abilities we must go through series of puzzles and make it out alive, understood?"
he tried ignoring how confused you were and went on to try and get you guys to escape
HE'S LAUGHING AT YOU FOR WHATEVER REASON AND OBV YOU LAUGH ASWELL CAUSE WHO WOULDN'T??? his laugh is so contagious pls 🤖🤖 he was so close to d wording cause he couldn't breathe from laughing too much
yea.. you guys spent so much time laughing at each other for being so dumb at this that you ended up playing 'till closing time
spoiler alert: he fails on doing anything cause the second you made eye contact with him this child collapses 😍🤩
GIRL SO EMBARRASSING 🤡🤡
THE STAFF KICKED THE BOTH OF YOU OUT AND NOW YOU GUYS WERE BANNED FROM THE PLACE ☠️☠️
"haunted house next weekend???"
"BET"
NOTE – god they were WAY funnier in my head but yeah.... i love them so much AND OMFG HAVE YOU GUYS SEEN HEESEUNG’S SELCAS LAST NIGHT???!?@??#?@?!?@ HE’S NOT REAL WTF ⁉️❓❓⁉️
also, idk why BUT EVERY TIME I SAVE A DRAFT the paragraphs get scrambled?? £!?) 6=6) 🤣😂💔💔🤣🤣😂💔 it's so annoying but anyways, ilysm pls stay safe and have a great day <33

Tom sat up, groaning and rubbing his eyes as light streamed into the hotel room. The room slowly came into focus and he spotted (y/n) passed out on his bed. He knit his brow and padded towards the window, pulling the blinds closed to try and dull his throbbing head. He made his way to the bathroom, wincing as he turned on the light. He splashed water on his face before realizing he was still in the same clothes he’d put on the night before. With a heavy sigh he returned to the bedroom and peaked at his phone. Calls and texts from his family and Harrison, nothing unusual outside of the fact that it was nearly noon.
“Shit,” he swore, glancing back over at (y/n), “Darling wake up,” he set a hand on her back, shaking her lightly.
She groaned, “Go away.”
“It’s nearly noon, come on, time to get up,” he chuckled.
“Fuck you,” she swore back at him before rolling onto her back, “I feel awful.”
“Yeah, me too,” he sighed, “I barely remember last night.”
“Me either. I hope I didn’t do anything embarrassing…”
“I’m sure you didn’t,” he assured, “We should go get some water, and eat.”
“Good call, but I need to shower first,” she yawned as she finally sat up, “Mind if I use your shower?”
“No, no of course not, I’m just gonna call Haz.”
“Cool, I’ll be quick,” she promised.
“Take your time,” he waved her off as he punched in his friend's number.
“Ah, he lives,” Harrison teased as he picked up the phone, “How’s (y/n)?”
“Showering, we’re both a bit fucked,” he frowned, “You aren’t in the suite are you?”
“No, we got breakfast and now we’re heading for the mob museum. We were going to wake you guys up but it seemed like you needed the sleep. You want to come meet us here?”
“Maybe, we’ve got to go eat first though,” he sighed, “Dude, what happened last night?”
“We all got really trashed, you and (y/n) were taking shots and you two took the driver and disappeared. We were all too trashed to even notice you were missing until we left though, but you guys were passed out when we got back to the hotel, so we figured you must have just headed back,” he chuckled, “Don’t remember a thing huh?’
“Hardly, I mean I remember being at the club for a while, but I don’t remember leaving…”
“Does she remember anything?”
“No, I don’t think she remembers anymore than I do.”
“That’s good, at least if you, you know, confessed something, she doesn’t remember.”
Tom blushed, “Yeah, that’s a plus…”
It was obvious to Harrison that something was wrong, “What?”
“Nothing, nothing,” Tom sighed, “I’ve just got this feeling something happened, I just can’t remember what.”
“Hey, I’m sure if you did anything too bad it’d be in the news by now. You probably just threw up or fell or something.”
“Probably, I just hope no one got it on video.”
“I’m sure they didn’t, look I gotta go, our Uber’s here, but let me know if you end up heading our way.”
“Yeah, no problem, I’ll get back to you in a bit.”
Tom rubbed his eyes and dug around his suitcase for some fresh clothes, after finding them he headed across the suite to use a different bathroom. He desperately wanted to clean up and figure out exactly what had occurred the night before. She still looked exhausted when they reunited outside of his room, he was sure he didn’t look any better.
“Everyone went out already huh?”
Tom nodded, “Yeah, they’re at the mob museum right now. They said we can meet up with them if we want, I figure we can see how we feel after we eat.”
“Good idea,” she rubbed her stomach with a sigh, “Do you think a mimose would help or hinder me right now.”
He smiled and wrapped his arm around her shoulders, “Definitely hinder. I think both of us should be on an alcohol detox today.”
“Yeah, you’re probably right,” she sighed, “Alright, a boring, virgin breakfast it is.”
“Oh you poor thing,” he laughed as they stepped onto the elevator, “It’s just tragic.”
They both opted for something easy on the stomach, simple eggs and fruits, regretting that they didn’t bring sunglasses down from the hotel room. They were both certain they couldn’t make it through a day on the strip, the lights and noise were bound to be too much, which ruled out the possibility of going to meet their friends. Tom still couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off, it was an unreachable itch in the back of his mind.
“What do you remember from last night?”
“Uh, being at the club, doing some shots,” she tapped her chin, “I don’t know Tom, not much, it’s all kind of blurry really.”
“Same here. I just wonder where we were…”
“I’m sure we just came back here,” she yawned, “I mean you’re pretty high profile, if we were out doing anything crazy I’m sure we would have heard about it by now.”
“Yeah, probably…”
“Mr. Holland?” the waiter approached their table with a smile, “I have something for you from the front desk.”
“Oh, thanks,” he frowned at the manilla envelope placed in front of him, “Uh, who’s this from?”
“Your diver returned it this morning.”
“Thanks,” he repeated as he tore into the envelope, suddenly going wide eyed at its contents, “What the…”
(y/n) frowned and scooted towards him, “I wanna see.”
Before them laid a series of photos of them, clearly taken the night before at the Little White Chapel. (y/n) held a bouquet and Tom held her, his lips pressed to her cheek in one photo and her lips in the next.
“Holy shit,” (y/n)’s jaw nearly hit the floor, “No fucking way…”
“We must have been there for someone else,” Tom tried to explain.
“With a bouquet? Kissing?” (y/n) frowned at him, “Oh my god we eloped in Vegas!”
“Guess you can mark that one off your bucket list,” Tom tried to joke.
“Tom!” she flushed, “This is serious! We need to go somewhere right away and get this annulled!”
“Look even if we did do it, it doesn’t mean it was legally binding, I mean we were drunk, they probably just let us take some pictures to entertain us.”
“God I hope so,” she groaned, “We need to go down there now, get this sorted out right away.”
“I’ll call a driver,” Tom assured, “We’ll sort this out.”
。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆
(y/n) drummed her finger along her arm nervously while the elder lady at the chapel typed away at her computer, checking if anything had been registered under either of their names.
“Oh, yep, here it is,” she smiled to them, “Looks like we did hold a wedding for you two last night.”
“Like a real, legal one?” (y/n) pressed.
She nodded, “Yep, you two are married.”
“W-Well you have to delete it,” she demanded.
“Oh hunny, I can’t do that,” she apologized, “You’ll have to go to the county court to apply for an annulment.”
She groaned and Tom smiled at the lady as he ushered her towards the door, “Thanks for all your help, have a nice day.”
“You’re welcome!” she called after them cheerfully.
“This sucks,” (y/n) pinched her brow as they returned to the car, “I guess we’re going to the county court then.”
“We’ll get this sorted out,” Tom blushed, “I just hope we can stay friends after the divorce.”
She laughed while he gave instructions to the driver, “Depends how big my alimony checks are.”
“Why are you the one that gets alimony checks? What about me huh?”
“Because there’s no way I make more money than you movie star,” she poked his chest, “I’m taking Tessa too.”
“Oh now you’re taking it way too far,” he shook his head, “You can take the kids, and the houses, and the money, but no way you’re taking Tessa.”
“Dick,” she shook her head, “After everything we’ve been through, I can’t even keep the dog?”
“Absolutely not,” he laughed, “That’s my baby, I’ll go to war over her.”
“You used to talk that way about me,” (y/n) rolled her eyes, “See this is exactly why we’re getting this divorce.”
“Maybe we should have tried counseling,” he hummed, “You know I don’t think it would be so bad.”
“A divorce?”
“No, if we were married,” he flushed, “I mean just cause we’re like best friends and everything…”
“Yeah but you don’t marry your best friend,” she laughed, “You marry the love of your life.”
“I know, I know, I’m just saying, you know,” he wrung his hands nervously, embarrassed he’d said anything at all.
“What? That’d we’d be a super hot celebrity power couple? Because that’s totally true,” she smiled, “We’d be the best dressed at every premier.”
“Yeah, we’d be a good power couple…”
“I’m sure you and your eventual wife will also be a power couple,” she squeezed his arm with a big smile, “Well, second wife.”
He nodded and pursed his lips, “Can you believe we kissed?”
She laughed, “Oh yeah, lucky you.”
He was upset he couldn’t remember their first, and possibly only kiss, he always imagined it would be more special. “It’s just weird not remembering any of it.”
“I just don’t even know where we got the idea,” she sighed, “I wonder if we drove by it or something…”
“I don’t know, maybe we just talked about it.”
“Maybe, like we got all drunk and got up in our feels.”
“Probably.”
“Tom, what's wrong?” she frowned at him.
“Nothing, I’m just hungover,” he insisted.
“Alright, well we can go lay down again after we sort this out.”
“Yeah, that’d be nice.”
They were quiet the rest of the drive, with Tom growing more and more anxious as they approached the courthouse. It wasn’t that he wanted to be married, but he wanted some kind of relationship. He wanted to confess that he liked the idea of kissing her and being married to her and all of that, he just couldn’t seem to spit it out.
“Hi,” (y/n) smiled at the woman at the front desk, “This is kind of embarrassing but we got really drunk last night and ended up getting married, we just needed to file for an annulment.”
“Happens all the time,” she nodded, “Just fill this out and we’ll call you back to get this sorted out.”
“Thanks,” she took a clipboard and sat down beside Tom, “Time to start dividing assets.”
“Yeah, sounds good,” Tom took the board from her and began scribbling information down.
“Oh come on, I’m not that bad of a wife.”
“Ah, what’s got you in a sour mood Tommy?”
“Nothing,” he insisted, “I’m just trying to get this over with.”
“(y/n).”
“Fine, fine, I’ll just sit here,” she sighed, “Guess we aren’t getting divorce ice cream after this huh?”
Tom said nothing.
。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆
Tom continued to be quiet as they signed papers and drove back to the hotel, all (y/n) could get with her were one word responses. She wasn’t sure what had changed and made him so upset. She was worried he’d gotten a message from his managers or something.
“Tom come on, you can tell me what’s going on,” she begged, “I know you're upset.”
“It’s nothing okay? I keep telling you I’m fine.”
“But you aren’t, I know you aren’t, and I’m just trying to help, you know you can tell me anything.”
He pinched his nose, “I can’t tell you about this.”
“Of course you can,” she set her hand on his back with a frown, “You can tell me anything.”
“I don’t know, today was just stressful.”
“I’m sure no one saw anything, somebody would have contacted you already.”
“Not about that,” he sighed.
“Okay, what about then?”
“What if I didn’t want to get the annulment?”
She wrinkled her brow in confusion, “Why wouldn’t you?”
“Because it’s you,” he blushed.
“You want us to have some kind of platonic marriage?” she laughed.
Without a word he cupped her face, pressing his lips to hers for a bruising kiss, “We are not platonic, and my feelings are never going to be platonic.”
Her whole face flushed and her jaw hung open in shock, “You’re into me?”
“I’m completely crazy about you,” he nodded.
“S-So you want to marry me?”
“No, no,” he shook his head, “Not right now at least. But I don’t want to throw away any chance of us being together.”
“Tom annulling our drunk Vegas wedding isn’t the same as throwing away any chance of us being together,” she bit her cheek, “I mean I think it’s pretty obvious that I’m into you.”
His cheeks flushed bright red, “Really?”
She nodded, “Obviously dummy, I don’t think I would have married you if I didn’t.”
He laughed and rubbed the back of his neck, “So it would be cool if I wanted to take you on a date?”
“Very cool,” she nodded and wrapped her arms around his neck, “But maybe this time we can wait a little longer for the proposal.”
“Yeah well a Vegas drive thru was never exactly my dream wedding anyway,” he squeezed her waist and pressed a kiss to her forehead, “Maybe we should go somewhere without alcohol though, just to be safe.”
“Considering my head’s still throbbing, I actually think I’m good on drinking for the rest of the year,” she got on her tiptoes, giving Tom another quick kiss.
“Speaking of which, how would you like to come take a hangover nap with me, girlfriend.”
“Sounds like a lovely use of our time, boyfriend.”

DATING SEVENTEEN A⇴Z HEADCANON ⇴ Kwon Soonyoung
A ⇴ AFFECTION
Soonyoung is always incredibly soft with any affection that he gives you, he loves to have his arms around you, whether it’s your waist, neck, or shoulders, he’ll take whatever he can get when it comes to being close to you.
B ⇴ BEFORE DATING
You were instantly drawn the charming smile he had when the two of you first went to the same coffee store. He caught your eye in the queue, and you could only manage a smile back at him before the waitress called you forwards and took your order, aware that Soonyoung’s eyes were firmly watching you.
C ⇴ CONFESSION
The two of you coincidentally kept bumping into each other at the store most mornings, almost as if it was fate. You never said a word to each other until one time you went to give your order only to be told it was already sorted. Soonyoung had learnt your order off by heart and paid for your coffee when he saw you walking into the store on the promise that you’d let him take you out for dinner whenever you had the time.
D ⇴ DATES
You’re both fond of adventuring on your dates and exploring plenty of new places. Soonyoung will drive you around for hours to find hotspots for dates and quiet places. Sometimes just driving around is enough for the two of you, especially at night. You’ll stop by a drive-thru and order yourselves from food, turn the speakers up high in the car and just go in whichever direction you decide, making the most of the peace and quiet from it all and also the time that you get to spend with each other and just be able to talk.
E ⇴ EXPERIENCE
Soonyoung had zero dating experience before he met you, and so he relied on those around him to give him a lot of tips when it first came to impressing you. You could tell that he was nervous when your relationship first began, he often mumbled apologies out of fear that he was doing something wrong or had perhaps missed a trick. It took a lot of reassurance from you to allow him to settle and trust that what he was doing was alright, but as he learned more about dating, he definitely began to settle in your relationship more too.
F ⇴ FIGHTING
If there’s ever something that has upset you or angered you, Soonyoung is always very understanding and willing to help to make a change. He’s not someone who gets upset if you find yourself wanting to argue, he’s the first to admit that he’s not perfect, and if he can do something to make your life easier, then he’ll definitely do it. Similarly, with you, if something frustrates him about you, he’ll understand that the two of you are different people and at sometimes differences can appear, it’s just about working through it and moving forwards. It takes a lot to argue with him, or at least try and create a disagreement between you both.
G ⇴ GETTING TO KNOW HIS FAMILY
Finding the time in Soonyoung’s busy schedule is hard to be able to meet his family, but whenever he has the chance, he’ll take you to visit his family. They’ve heard enough about you from Soonyoung to know that they’ll love you but meeting you in person far exceeds all of their expectations for the person that you are.
H ⇴ HOME
He often spends more time at the studio then his home anyway, so Soonyoung won’t be too fussed wherever he settles. If it’s easier for him to head back to the dorm at night, then he will, or if yours is better, he’ll arrive there. Soonyoung is in no rush to find a place together, which you’re understanding of when he’s so busy.
I ⇴ “I LOVE YOU”
When he came home from tour and reunited with you, Soonyoung couldn’t help but tell you that he loved you. He never imagined that he’d struggle as much as he did with not being able to see you, but as he thought about it, the emotions that he felt of not being able to be around you added up to one answer, that he loved you.
J ⇴ JEALOUSY
Soonyoung is someone who is full of confidence, so he’ll pit himself against any other guy quite happily and know that you’d pick him, therefore he doesn’t tend to get jealous too often. He also appreciates that you have other people in your life who aren’t him, and so if you want to spend your time with someone else, then he’ll understand that and won’t allow himself to get jealous. Although he can’t hide the fact that he’ll be relieved when you get home to him, and answer all of his questions about how your day was.
K ⇴ KIDS
The two of you talked about your future from time to time, finding it important to see if you were on the same trajectories. Soonyoung loved to tell you all about how he hoped to be able to teach his children dancing in the future, having kids was a huge deal to him, but having children that would hopefully follow in his footsteps was a thought that made him very happy, and very excited for a future with you too.
L ⇴ LAUGHTER
There is never a bad day whenever you’re in Soonyoung’s company, he’s one of the main members who can help to create a light and happy atmosphere. He also hates whenever you’ve had a bad day and come home sad, he always works hard to pick up anyone when they’re feeling down, but especially you. He’ll work tirelessly to try and make you smile again, no matter how long it takes or how down you’re feeling. He cares a lot about making sure that you live a happy life with him, and will put all his efforts into making you laugh, cracking joke after joke and forever making cheeky remarks that will make you grin.
M ⇴ MISSING
The true sign that the other members need to know that Soonyoung is missing you is when his own mood drops, and he becomes quiet. He’s always the one to pick the others up, so they’ll be the first ones there to pick him up whenever he needs it too. He’ll force a smile onto his face whenever he calls you, because he knows that you miss him. and he doesn’t want to make things worse for you. Not having him around to brighten the mood will be hard on all of the boys, they rely on him too, so they’ll try desperately to pick him up, not just for his own sake, but for keeping the moral of the rest of the group high as well.

Quite a few of them are unflattering and taken from the worst angles, but those ones are also Soonyoung’s favourites because even though you’re at your worst, he still loves the way you look. Every single photo goes a long way to helping him when he’s on tour and picking his mood up whenever he’s missing you, bringing a smile back to his face.

tether notes 2/3
pt. 3
i mentioned this in the last part, but i used muroran as basis for veilstone, not abashiri. actually, if you want my opinion, i think shari, hokkaido, is a better depiction of veilstone than abashiri. mostly, i used muroran bc i could find pictures there that were more than just boat-icebreaker-drift ice-boat. abashiri is cold. and full of drift ice. if you need context, it’s level with toronto, canada. a pretty cold place to live. muroran is further south, and it’s also a port city, so i jus used that.
shari looks nicer, but it’s more into the hook of hokkaido (that piece on sinnoh map that jutts out right below battle zone) and not nestled into the mountains, so. mostly it was out.
makino’s cafe/bar is based on the diner in veilstone. so, walk in, counter bar to your left, tables to your right, possibly a happiny underfoot carrying trays of food.
but, compared to the more rustic and colored veilstone, i wanted to depict more of hokkaido city here. so, more rundown, rusted due to sea breeze, older things without much repair. passable, sure, for daily life. but new and extravagant? no. far from.
if makino is so close with luffy, how come she doesn’t know sabo?
simple. she’s not close with luffy. makino has a fulltime job running a diner in veilstone, sinnoh. luffy grew up on the sevii islands, kanto. when he was in sinnoh, he was training with shanks. yeah, sure, they would come by for food, and makino is good friends with shanks, so of course she and luffy have a relationship. but, also at this point where shanks began to bring luffy around, instead of teaching him out in nowhere, sevii islands, they began to keep things secret. luffy was here “just visiting” to anyone who asks, but they wouldn’t seen him much around, not in the isolation shanks trained him in. also also at this point, because i derailed that sentence completely, ace and sabo were already out traveling. it just never came up. makino is friendly with luffy, she knows luffy, but she doesn’t know him, not really.
pokemon hunters is another anime concept i wanted to use, again to make the story more gritty. no evil teams here with world-domination plots, just poachers. pretty standard. still awful, especially if they’re poaching people, now, but nothing as wide-scale as team galactic.
i had so much fun writing ship captain jinbe. i wished i got more of a chance to write his crew, too. at this point i think i had just caught up reading blackbird by milo, and i was hooked on the idea of biker fishman gang and leader jinbe, so i adapted it into ship crew here. praline is there, yes. she’s badass. i said so, you heard it here.
i talked a lot with my big bang partner, and we eventually decided jinbe’s a mix of hoenn and sinnoh descent. so, darker skin, almost polynesian, from hoenn’s more pacific island vibe. dark, curly hair. i drew a picture once? oh, here it is. jus a little sketch. he probably actually comes from hoenn, but he does cargo runs throughout sinnoh now. [i should probably say around, since there arent rly canals thru sinnoh?]
regarding law’s map error, i really jus wanted to reference flower paradise. of course the map he got was a tourist version, so of course it’s gonna include the magical pathway connecting the sinnoh league to an island of flowers. but it doesn’t actually exist, or if it does, it’s not always there, since they sail through the space with ease. just another fun easter egg.
the marsh scene was another i’ve known i wanted since the beginning. i had so much fun drawing the map for it. i actually based the scenes entirely off the map, so while i knew the general direction i wanted it to go in, and that they would run into sabo, the part about wandering into the rain and encountering volcarona spawned while marking the map. crazy how things work, huh?
i think i made the chase move a little too fast, so most of the time out of their 12 hr limit is spent after departing from the marsh, wandering thru route 212. don get me wrong, the marsh scene spans over the course of hours, but its still less time from leaving the ship to leaving sabo than it is to get back to the ship.
the aegislash scene is the first one i conceptualized, of the marsh scene series. introducing law’s team was strategic, especially once i revealed luffy only had four pokemon. it was always meant to be a readers gamble how many law had. at the end of part 3, it’s pretty easy to gauge how many, but still, the surprise of the sixth pokemon in pt 4 is something im still proud of c:
anyway, yes, the first sense of real danger. poachers have no qualms in using their pokemon to harm other people. they’re there for the money, which they get from capturing and caging rare pokemon. who cares if they hurt a few people along the way? who cares if they brutalize them to take a particular pokemon, a-la mr. cleffa sir? law reacts to this very quickly, in part because he’s used to it, as explained in tragic backstory number 2, right behind one-brother-dies-and-the-other-runs-away from protag #2.
actually, i guess the first danger was the wild kadabra, but this is the one in which someone gets hurt! . . . or, worse-hurt, because law’s scratch doesn’t count. luffy’s gash in his shoulder? that’s a big injury. especially when they can’t just stop to treat it, especially when law still has blood on his face from it, especially when they have to go right back to running around the marsh.
and then sabo appears!! i lied, this was the first marsh scene. i drabble-wrote it in my series-of-drabbles-to-add-to-the-outline before i made pt 3′s outline, and then wrote it for real. the aegislash-being-badass-therefore-law-also-by-proxy was the second. one of the first sentences i ever wrote for tether was law realizing the face from luffy’s picture was right before his eyes.
so why do the hunters ignore luffy calling for sabo while running away?
yes, why the no consequences? i realized at this point they were too far away to hear and law too out of it (its law’s pov, still) to figure what they were saying, to i had to play it off. it’s another scene where i almost wrote a few paragraphs from a different perspective [the other two were the tsuru-caesar confrontation and the mr. cleffa dude ft. sabo scene, both of which i had to expand upon by talking, instead of a flashback to show it. i rly went full soul-eater approach here, huh? explaining everything through present means. well. save for law’s backstory, but that’s about the only thing.] but decided not to in the end.
here’s how the scene plays out, full disclosure. law and luffy spot the two hunters. a third person, sabo comes into view. the hunters tell sabo the situation, that they were being chased. law recognizes sabo, luffy does too, and calls out to him, loudly. this causes the hunters to panic, and they tell sabo, there, there’s the people chasing after us. law figures sabo has some secret reason for posing as a hunter and pulls luffy again out of view, not wanting to give him away. all three hunters take off running in the opposite direction. luffy calls out for sabo again, and sabo turns to question the other two, asking which pokemon they stole that was named ‘sabo’. he has a fake name, obviously. they don’t know he’s sabo. before they can figure it out, he derails the topic. but then he slips crossed fingers behind his back at the same time, signaling silently to luffy, who stops calling out.
so, tldr, sabo’s not using his real name while with the hunters and is smart enough to cover his ass from luffy’s mistake.
i wanted law carrying luffy, on their way down the route, to the stormclouds, and i’m pretty sure the one reason i didnt go thru with it is because law’s backpack. and, y’know, luffy being caked in mud.
okay, do. panic attack time. ptsd time. a mix of both, ig. whatever you wanna call it. originally, this scene was going to be a bit different, and happen way earlier in the story. it didnt bc of sinnoh’s lack of fire types [there are only 2 i think, 2 lines i mean, so like 5] and the fact that ace’s team featured none of them. and then i thought, oh, i’ll jus make the same thing happen w sabo, except none of sabo’s team were one of them as well.
originally, it was going to be that law/lu encounter a clan of a specific type of wild fire pokemon. i think for the longest time it was talonflame, not sure anymore. anyway, so it was gonna go that luffy recognizes ace’s former pokemon outta the bunch, and they recognize lu as well, and the two reunite and all that jazz, and meanwhile law has his attack bc the group they encounter are one of the pokemon that tormented him in alola.
and, nope, now i remember why it didnt happen. as much as i hate dof, i had to craft a team for him for plot purposes, and that ended up being a bug team to go w the whole string motif. the problem was i had this scene planned for a looooong time, and it needed to be w a fire type, one of ace’s pokemon. except there are like no fire/bug pokemon, except for volcarona, who wasn’t on ace’s already-planned team at this point. i debated for foreeeeever and finally decided to screw it, and i made it sabo’s unova pokemon. so, instead of getting a unova dragon, in the land of dragons unova, sabo gets a volcarona and ace a darmanitan. all for plot purposes. no sense here. none at all.
[not that it matters, since sabo morphs into a fire trainer anyway after ace dies]
so, after i decided it would be sabos pokemon, the point came back to how they would encounter it. no hordes of wild volcarona in sinnoh. i sadly had to scrap the idea. this is what i came up with instead: volcarona coming to luffy to deliver a letter, and scarring law in the process.
Law has a chocolate bar, because he’s ten and anxious and chocolate seemed good at the time.
-aka my favorite line of the whole entire story!!!
and then law’s backstory time. so!!! for the longest time i was torn between setting the story in sinnoh or alola. this was my big compromise. i wrote a draft-outline for law’s alola backstory before i wrote a real outline for tether as a whole. this was the first part of the story i really wrote. i was done with it before i started pt 1, because i wanted to outline before i started writing.
the thing abt law is that his life is so much of a tragedy. oda writes it so well, to the point where you’re thinking this can’t get any worse and then it gets worse, every time. i wanted to mimic that here. i didn’t do it justice, but i at least tried.
law’s life is filled with mistrust. his whole village dies, he nearly does as well, and so he packs up and runs away, and hides his one pokemon abra because he’s not a registered trainer and he refuses to abandon abra so theres mistrust towards everyone who can turn him in, and everyone who didnt care enough to help with the water crisis. he’s done with sinnoh. so he spends a bit holed up in a library, and once he reads about alola, he’s sold. he’s so mistrustful it’s not a matter of ‘anywhere is better than sinnoh’, its a matter of ‘i can’t end up in another place just like this’. alola is the solution.
except, he’s still mistrustful. so he hides abra, and he hides his money, and he doesn’t speak with anyone, and he leaves the city as soon as he can. he doesn’t know the rules of this place, but abra is all he has. he can’t lose abra. and then things go wrong.
because he’s out of sinnoh, but alola is different. he’s ten, and he’s never had a real pokemon battle, and all the wild pokemon of alola are too eager. he’s ten, and a pangoro attacks and he loses all his supplies on his very first day, because abra’s too exhausted to teleport them away this time. [in hindsight, i did a really bad continuity error here, throughout the entire flashback. it’s thru law’s eyes, so i describe the pokemon he doesn’t know about, and yet sometimes i name the pokemon he really shouldn’t know about. my bad.]
he’s ten, and the only food he finds is being guarded by a giant sumo crab, so he crawls to the other side of the beach and falls asleep on the sand, hungry. he’s ten, and he’s living off berries because money is only so good when you can exchange it, and he’s far away from civilization. he’s ten, and he spends the very last of his money on money for abra, for his only pokemon and his only ally, because going to a pokemon center would mean being seen and asking for a license to verify and its too risky, he can’t risk it.
he’s ten, and he’s hungry, and he has nothing but the abra clutched in his arms and his ripped clothes clinging to his body, and he witnesses a murder. and they catch him in the act, and then he’s stuck, because he shouldn’t have a pokemon so young, and he’s a witness to a crime, and too quickly he’s in a very bad position.
he’s ten, and to keep abra alive, he joins a gang in alola.
he’s ten, and he’s blackmailed into working or risking abra being taken away. he’s ten, and he has morals, and there’s some tasks he won’t do, but the family boss punishes him for it, harshly. he stops having morals. it wouldn’t do him good here.
law turns eleven, and suddenly gang tasks involve pokemon battles. law’s eleven, and doflamingo trains law himself, beating the weakness out of him, burning him, scarring him, terrorizing him because he can, and because law can’t refuse.
law’s eleven when he realizes his picture-perfect alola was nothing but an illusion, because the lack of monopolies and corporations and factories actually had nothing to do with how much the natives cared about their own, or cared at all, about anything. just because alola didn’t have a pokemon league didn’t mean it wasn’t a bad place to be.
he’s eleven when he meets corazon, and finally, finally, gets a breath of fresh air, gets a taste of a person who isn’t there to ridicule him or abuse him. he’s eleven when he meets his first real friend since his sister died, meets someone that finally treats him like a human being. and it doesnt matter that he’s doflamingo’s brother, because he’s kind to law.
law’s eleven and corazon works to repair the damage done by the gang, little by little. he gets law out on an island challenge, and he wanders through melemele and akala and meets kind people and has fun and experiences the real alola. and he realizes, somewhere along the way, that he never wants to go back to the family ever again.
law’s eleven when he realizes he has no choice. because he belongs to doflamingo, because he has to skip out on ula’ula to accomplish a task for the family, because corazon sits there and lets it happen.
law’s eleven when he’s given a pokemon egg, and when he’s given hope.
corazon was going to take care of everything. he was going to get them out, safely. they were going to rescue a captive pokemon. law was going to be free. law was never going to be hurt by the family again.
except, that’s not how it goes. corazon dies. corazon’s pokemon are tortured in order to lure law out. corazon’s pokemon all die for him and law has no option left but to run with all his might, all the way from one tip of ula’ula to the other. and then, because he can’t trust anyone, anyone, law runs away into a desert with no supplies to speak of.
law’s eleven when he comes face to face with the most temperamental tapu in the alola region, and even with all he’s been through, it’s the most scared he’s even been in his entire life. and then, when he comes to, he finds himself stranded in the kalos region. he’s eleven. he goes through all of this and he’s not even a teenager yet.
so, backing up just a bit, you can see how seeing a volcarona is going to invoke some rather strong emotions in law. he panics. he passes out. luffy puts volcarona away, because me might be oblivious on a lot of things, but he can understand the pure terror in law’s eyes.
alright, what else. the letter. of course luffy disavows the letter, he’s luffy, he can’t follow a plan to save his life.

CANTLON: WOLD PACK DROP SOUND TIGERS 4-1
BY: Gerry Cantlon, Howlings BRIDGEPORT, CT - Tim Gettinger scored a stupendous shorthanded goal and had an assist to pace the Hartford Wolf Pack to a solid 4-1 road win to break a modest two-game losing streak over the Bridgeport Sound Tigers before 5,427 at the Webster Bank Arena. “We did a very good job today because it's much easier to play when we have all four lines going as we did today,” remarked Wolf Pack head coach, Kris Knoblauch. Nick Jones also contributed a goal and an assist while Darren Raddysh had two assists and ended the three-in-three weekend on a positive note with three periods of solid play. The Wolf Pack record improves to 30-14-6-5 (71 points) and they are in second place in the Atlantic Division, just one point behind the idle Hershey Bears who hold a game in hand. The winner of the Providence Bruins and Wilkes Barre/Scranton Penguins are three points behind the Wolf Pack. Bridgeport's record slips to 19-30-5-2 (45 points) are in last place in the Atlantic Division and 30th overall in the AHL. In the third period, the Wolf Pack extended their lead to two goals. With team captain, Steven Fogarty in the penalty box, Nick Jones took his place on the PK and hit Gettinger with a lead pass. The rest was all Gettinger. He motored up the right-wing side past Josh Ho-Sang who was trying to defend him. Gettinger blew by him, pulled the puck in around Sound Tiger goalie, Jared Coreau, and did a backhand-to-forehand in mid-air a la Bobby Orr, and tucked his 13th of the season into the net at 6:16 and gave the Pack a 3-1 lead. “Jonesy hit me right in the middle (of the ice) and I was able to drive to the net on the backhand. That was a big goal to keep us moving forward,” Gettinger said with humility and modesty. Upon further prodding, he would let a smile sneak across his face. “When we see a forward playing D like that, we try to take advantage of it. I was able to lower my shoulder and got a good head of steam going to the net…the rest was a blur, to be honest.” Reunited with his original linemate from the beginning of the season, Jones, who was shaking his head, and marveled at the play. “He was able to drive so fast, it was amazing he made a move going that fast. Just a hell of a play." Gettinger was very happy with the team win. “We weren’t very happy how the first two games this weekend went. Friday we weren’t at our best. Last night we did a lot of good things, but it wasn’t enough. Tonight, we put it all together. We came out and wanted the two points and we picked up the win.” As the architect of the team, Knoblauch got the desired results. “They really seem to like one another and putting the line back together, we got exactly what we wanted out of it.” The Wolf Pack got another specialty team goal. Nick Ebert took Matt Beleskey’s pass and waited at the right point patiently as Fogarty moved in to screen Coreau along with defenseman Grant Hutton. Ebert whistled a wrist off the cross bar and in for his fifth goal and the second Pack powerplay tally of the afternoon. “Really good play all-around. You get a better chance when you take away a goalie’s eyes,” commented Knoblauch. The Wolf Pack jumped out to a 2-1 lead with all five players getting touches of the puck. The whole series started on a smart dish off by Patrick Newell as Darren Raddysh saw an opening along the right-wing boards. He took the pass and filled in the gap, motored to the net, and put the puck to the net. Gettinger got the first crack at it. Jones, as semi-trailer from behind the goal line, reached out on the loose puck and put it in out in during the mad scramble. It was his eighth of the season to match his jersey number at 5:29. “It was a nice play all-around to get to that point. I just saw the loose puck. Everyone was hacking and whacking at the puck. I got the last one,” Jones said with a laugh of his first AHL game-winning goal. The Sound Tigers, with the 30th worst powerplay which has awoken over the last two games, connected on their first chance of the game. Sebastian Aho was at the right point and spotted Ho-Sang wide open at the Wolf Pack goal line. The shot was deflected on a tip try by Nick Schilkey. Ho-Sang got the puck and darted around the net. Ho-Sang completed the wraparound attempt for his third goal at 13:10. The Wolf Pack answered back with a powerplay goal of their own. It will be in contention for the Wolf Pack goal of the year before Gettinger's goal. After the Sound Tigers' Jeff Kubiak blew out a tire on a rush attempt, Raddysh picked up the puck and put a short pass to Vitali Kravtsov at center ice. Kravtsov weaved thru the middle of the ice and as he crossed the Sound Tigers blue line and put short pass in Vinni Lettieri’s wheelhouse. Lettieri let loose a vintage one-timer on a 40-foot shot that went to the short-side, on Coreau's stick-side who seemed shocked at both the power and speed of the shot for his team-leading 24th of the season at 15:08. “It was a great shot off of two nice plays, and we have to have the powerplay working. You can’t rely solely on five-on-five scoring all the time. We could have had some more points this weekend if we capitalized on them (powerplays), even possibly a win on Saturday,” said Knoblauch. Newly acquired goalie Jean-Francois Berube, in his second start for the Wolf Pack, kept things steady in the first period especially on an early breakaway by the Islanders 2019 first-round pick Simon Holmstrom with a clear shot, but a rolling puck Berube calmly stopped it. He then took away a short-side attempt from Oliver Wahlstrom off a blast from the left-wing faceoff circle that made the difference for the Wolf Pack and two of the toughest of his 18 saves for the game. “That save was crucial because if they score on that breakaway might be a whole different game for us. He’s veteran has Calder Cup experience. We're glad to have him,“ remarked Jones of Berube’s first win as a member of Hartford. The head coach thought the early part of he game set up the rest of the game. “It really could have gone haywire early had they got the goal on a broken play really and JF was right here for that breakaway early on LINES: Fogarty-Kravtsov-Beleskey Jones-Newell-Gettinger O’Regan-Lettieri-Gropp McBride-Dmowski-Ronning Hajek-Raddysh Ebert-Geersten Crawley-LoVerde SCRATCHES: Boo Nieves - Upper-Body - Out Indefinitely Yegor Rykov - Healthy - Seventh time in the last nine games. Jake Elmer - Healthy Gabriel Fontaine - Shoulder Surgery - Season Over NOTES: The Sound Tigers have now lost four in a row (0-3-0-1). On the powerplay the Wolf Pack are 28th at 12.8% the Sound Tigers 30th at 11.3%. On the PK the Wolf Pack is 5th best if the AHL at 85.3% and the Sound Tigers at 10th at 83.6%. Two good things in yesterday’s Rangers 3-2 win over San Jose. First, the Rangers won extended their recent record to 7-1 all with Igor Shesterkin in goal. The other is they are four points out of the playoff race for the second wild-card spot. The bad thing, Phil DiGuiseppe played his tenth game which now requires the Rangers to pace him on waivers if they want to send him to Hartford. So, he will be in New York for the rest of the season. Ex-Pack Shawn St.-Amant has signed a PTO with Chicago. Ex-Pack defenseman Hubert Labrie was released from his deal by Belleville and assigned to parent Ottawa. Two ex-Sound Tigers are on the move the brothers Holmstrom. Ben goes from Norfolk (ECHL) to Cincinnati (ECHL) and Josh exits Norfolk for Wheeling (ECHL). They’re not related to the current Sound Tiger Simon Holmstrom as he is from Sweden, they’re from Colorado Springs, CO. Not only players or coaches get recalls, but so do team’s staff. The only voice of the Wolf Pack, Bob Crawford, gets his second recall to do a Rangers game. The first one was at MSG this one will be on the road at the Bell Centre in Montreal on Thursday. The regular Rangers radio voice, Kenny Albert has a broadcast conflict and Crawford will have Rangers great from the 1970 and 1980’s Pete Stemkowski alongside to provide color commentary. While the English language Canadiens broadcast on TSN 690 can be heard here at night you can go to the Rangers website and click on the audio section to catch the broadcast. The game is being bumped off ESPN radio 98.7 to 1050 AM which is not a very strong signaled station the Rangers radio home because of a scheduling conflict. Montreal will put out the Bienvenue sign for Crawford. Read the full article

Subsequently, with the addition of Tony Cano, Mario Reyes, and Jorge Suarez, the Mastermix 6 were also considered early pioneers and contributors to the shaping of the Chicago dance music culture.
All members are well-established professionals in every aspect of the Dance Music Industry. Their overall resumes include nightclubs, radio, mobile, retail, publications, record labels, studio production, marketing, and promotions. Chicago has produced top celebrity DJs and takes credit for the creation of House Music. Their music knowledge spans from the late 70's thru the dance and house music formation of the 80's and into the present.
In 1978 at the early age of sixteen Carlos began spinning records at local house parties and events. By 1980 Carlos was known and widely recognized for his influential skills on the turntables after participating in one of Chicago’s largest DJ Competitions. Thereafter Carlos began performing at some of Chicago’s major festivals and elite nightclubs. Carlos became a HOUSEHOLD name and was recruited as a “Mastermixer” known as “Cookin' Carlos Vaderrama for Chicago’s WGCI 107.5 FM and a frequent DJ guest on WBMX 102.7 FM urban radio stations. To date, these mixes can still be found at various DJ online sites.
JMJ (Jam Master J) began his DJ career in Chicago’s south suburbs in 1980. His style then is much as it is today, taking a “no rules, no limits” approach to music, blending multiple genres seamlessly. He quickly became one of the best technical DJ’s in the Chicago area, with a sharp ear for programming and advanced turntable skills, often “editing” tracks on the fly by looping, beat juggling, doubling, tripling, etc. Recent production work includes releases or edits on various labels and with new projects already lined up for 2018. JMJ’s Soundcloud page has exceeded 1 million plays and over 150,000 downloads to date, and he’s hit the top 10 on both the Traxsource and Juno Soul/Funk/Disco charts.
Considered to be one of the architects of Chicago house music, Mario Reyes began his career as a DJ in late 1977. In 1979-1980, he became the resident DJ at one of Chicago’s hottest clubs, Jenal's Disco. In 1981, he became part of the Hot Mix Dance Party mix show on WBMX 102.7 FM. A veteran DJ of over 40 years, Mario continues to perform at some Chicago’s top venues and his love & passion for dance music remains to sizzle.
Matt has been a valuable part of the international Dance music community for over three decades. His many accomplishments have earned him a loyal following amongst DJ`s and club-goers looking for the next beat. Matt began his career as a DJ in 1979. By 1983 he was not only spinning records in some of Chicago's hottest clubs, but was also serving as a Billboard reporter and radio mix show at Chicago's WGCI 107.5 FM.
In 1982, Tony obtained his first DJ equipment and began to master the art of the blend. His popularity as a DJ grew among his circle of friends, Tony began to play private and school sponsored events. In 1989, Tony became the resident DJ at a legendary Coconuts Night Club. Tony went on to become the resident DJ at Casanova’s, Erik’s North, China Club, and Shadow’s Night Club throughout the 90’s. In the late 90’s, Tony launched his own house music based web site called “GottaHaveHouse.Com”. This website was instrumental in exposing many talented DJs from around the world to a global audience and became an outlet for introducing modern soul music to the masses as well. Tony, along with his brother Frank, and friends from around the globe posted weekly mixes to the website to the delight of an audience around the world.
By the early 80's, he had taken residency at various key nightclubs in Chicago, participated in DJ battles, was featured on radio mix shows, became record store buyer, reviewed music for a large dance music publications, and produced/remixed in the recording studio. In the 90's, Jorge became Billboard Magazine music reporter, which allowed him to develop national contacts and relationships. He continued his DJ employment well into the late 2000's. Today, Jorge has been recognized and was asked to be part of a team in which members have contributed to the making of the 'history of the sound that Chicago built'.

Backfire? People are still wondering about CNN's live clip of a mother and son reunited after being separated at the border
We have to admit, we love this live clip from CNN just for the fact that the reporter on the scene says he won’t use the woman’s last name “for her own protection” — just seconds after the anchor gives out her full name on the air.
But something’s up. We’re not saying there’s anything fake about this video, but we’d bet good money this is not what CNN was expecting to get when it sent a camera crew to Dulles International Airport to capture the moment a mother was united with her son who was separated from her at the border.
Happening right now: A mother who has been separated from her 7-year-old son for a month reunited with him. pic.twitter.com/AXvuT0P0fL
— Meg Wagner (@megwagner) June 29, 2018
This aired Friday, and people are still passing the video around days later, saying something seems … off.
Anyone else find this strange https://t.co/LpG2u2fwSs
— Bethany S. Mandel (@bethanyshondark) July 3, 2018
Yes. Someone posted it on FB and I was all prepared to say “kids handle emotional circumstances differently” until I watched but I watched and something is way off
— MLH ♥️ (@just_mindy) July 3, 2018
Same
— Bethany S. Mandel (@bethanyshondark) July 3, 2018
Um … unless this kid is low affect or generally undemonstrative or was severely traumatized during their time apart … seems like an underwhelming moment on both sides. Weird. 🤔
— H e a t h e r ☕️ (@RealCatholicMom) July 3, 2018
Again, we’re not saying it’s fake, but it’s certainly not the heartbreaking reunion CNN was hoping for. Nice try, though.
This looks strange. The boy was told he was going to see his mom. He keeps looking away like he is still looking for her. Are we sure the children are being given to the correct adults?
— pete (@peteweeks) July 3, 2018
Does he even know this woman? Obviously he had such a good experience that he did not even miss her.
— DeeDee👠 (@dkrwilliams) July 3, 2018
Something feels off here. I don't see what I expect to see when a child is reunited with mother after a month of separation. Do these people even know each other ??
— Trump from Day1🇺🇸👍🏻 (@techmaster58) June 29, 2018
This is so fake, if one of my children had been separated from me for a month they would have ran into my arms and not left!
— Julia (@jewels2889) July 3, 2018
Not her kid. I bet she is an aunt or a family friend. #NotMyResident
— Tombstone Eyes (@BanEnemedia) July 3, 2018
The reporter said she was his mother. If I hadn't seen my child in a month wild horses could t have kept me from running thru that airport with tears streaming down my face.
— SunInTheRain (@SunInTheRain14) July 3, 2018
Does this child even know this woman?
— Weeki1 (@weeki1) July 3, 2018
Has this been verified🤔
— Mary (@MaryUK) July 1, 2018
I must say whatever you all at CNN we’re trying to do with this video was an EPIC FAIL
— Ex-Dem🇺🇸Latina (@ExDemLatina) July 3, 2018
Give me a break. Not a tear in her eye and that kid could care less about this woman. He isn't even looking at her. WHO is she? I doubt she is his mother. She didn't act like a mother. No emotion….another LIE from the left. Geez.
— Ellen Atkinson (@eatkinson48) July 3, 2018
The kid looks traumatized. He’s been detached. Or in shock. I’m no expert.
— Aaron Casillas (@AC_Creates) June 29, 2018
This is not how children would react seeing their mom for the first time in a month. Where is his real mother?
— Jen Jussely (@JJussely) July 3, 2018
This boy does not appear to have an emotional attachment to this woman. Curious.
— CherryRed🍒🇺🇸 (@92cherrybomb) July 3, 2018
Body language says it all.. Did he really miss his mom? Was that really his mom? 🤔
— Seimron Llipder (@truthseeqr) July 3, 2018
That little boy acts like he doesn't know the woman at all. If he knows her, he clearly did not miss her. He doesn't even look at her.
— GOD'S ARMY (@Brenda06135) July 3, 2018
Looks like a set up to me. CNN wanted some kind of emotional reunion. What they got was truth.
— AirborneRecondo 🇺🇸 (@airbrnrcndo76) July 3, 2018
@CNN if you didn't stage this, then please take a break from your narrative and think about the welfare of the child! Someone needs to check on him and make sure that everything is okay! This reaction to being reunited after a month apart is NOT normal!!!
— Jenna (@jennabean) July 3, 2018
Having grown up near the border in Texas I can only tell you that I'm praying this is not a trafficked child. That is NOT his mother!
— Chloe Cat (@SherylMerville3) July 3, 2018
He's acting like he barely knows her!
— Mia Rivera (@miaculpepper2) July 3, 2018
You sure they even know each other? The kid sure doesn't act like it…
— Texlaw57 (@Texlaw57) July 3, 2018
Why does that child pull AWAY from her? Something is horribly off in this video. That boy doesn't act like he knows ANY of them. They even force the little girl to hug him. Somebody needs to check in this kid.
— MeMe Best (@asia742) July 3, 2018
After being separated for a month, my child would have AT LEAST embraced me. This is a bit scary. No emotion at all from the child. You all are pushing a very dangerous situation…you are helping traffickers. IF this is her son, I’d really question his life with her.
— LC (@LynseyClarke8) July 2, 2018
Definitely doesn't seem right to me… My kids were in tears and wouldn't let go of me after a week at camp….. strange…..
— Tanya Nicole (@HPFanTanya) July 3, 2018
That kid has no clue who that woman is.
— Elliot Whitter (@elliotwhitter1) July 3, 2018
This child is not her son. Look at his body language!
— DC Cesspool (@dontcha_know1) July 3, 2018
His body language says: "somebody please make this lady stop touching me!"
— tbtmo (@tbtmo3) July 3, 2018
He didn’t seem to care about her. She said he has gain weight. He said he was fine and he has a new toy car. She said you’re tan did you go to the beach? He said no we went outside to play… Looks like he was happier without her 🤷🏻♀️
— VA🥀ESSA #KAG2020 🇺🇸 (@oceanview55555) July 3, 2018
No way that is that boys mother. He looks COMPLETELY uncomfortable and acts like he has no idea who she is. If I were to claim to be a liberal with fluid pronouns it would be more believable than this video. Have you any integrity left at all?
— Tick Tock (@QisComing4u) July 3, 2018
Is this a joke? Do these people even know each other?
— truthie (@TruthieKr) July 3, 2018
That’s not her son, can’t be. Or he had a better experience away from her?
— Jen Morton (@JenMorton10) July 3, 2018
The kid acts like he never saw her before.
— Tom Britz (@tombritz) July 3, 2018
It doesn't appear that the child even knows this woman, much less a child who has been missing his mother for a month. She doesn't seem the part either. Please find out if this child is actually hers.
— Judy Huggins (@Elfinmirror) July 3, 2018
This whole thing seems odd. Sure didn’t seem like a mother and her child. 🤔
— Amy Ostrom (@OstromAmy) July 3, 2018
The kid doesn’t look like he missed her much. Something just don’t seem on point
— 💀👽EZYRDR👽💀 (@19tmtaylor77) July 3, 2018
That kid did not want that lady
— 🇺🇸TrumpsStyle 🇺🇸 (@TrumpsTime1) July 3, 2018
A month and no crying, no real hugging, the kid barely looks at her. This doesn't look on the up and up.
— Vaughn Blaschke (@vaughnjb) July 3, 2018
This is just plain weird. Not sure what I expected, but this was not it.
— Scott Beason (@ScottBeason) July 3, 2018
Oh yeah, kid acts like he's so happy to see her, also acts like he's been so abused in a cage for a month. Probably isn't even her kid. Holy hell @CNN could you even TRY to do a better job??
— Linette (@linmger) July 3, 2018
I'm calling bs. This video is off.
— Alexander (@144Knight) July 3, 2018
She asked him if they went to the "playa" (beach)?? Where did she think the kid had been all this time? I call BS, CNN.
— Overpaid AT&T Lobbyist (@OLobbyist) July 3, 2018
So why did she ask if he went to the beach? Also he says he given a toy…So what are you trying to do here CNN…Lie some more??? This was very awkward…
— #LegislationNOW (@Sit4Something) July 3, 2018
Wow….that is a strangely cool reaction from a son who hasn't seen his mother in 4 weeks. Is that really his mother?
— George (@gvalkuchak) July 3, 2018
My 13 year old son about knocked me down when I got home from work today….he saw me this morning when I left….WTH is going on here?! He either doesn't know her, or they weren't separated, or he was happy where he was.
— Amy Kernan (@AmyzKernan) July 3, 2018
No way that's his mom.

Round 38 – APBA 3 For 4
Oak Ridge Golf Course, Milton, WI 53563 Par 70, Blue Tees, 5,949 yards, 68.3 rating / 112 slope, $36 riding Sunday, September 17th, 2017, 10:00am, 73 degrees, 11 mph winds, cloudy
My early years of high school in little Rockford, Illinois weren’t too exciting so I hooked up with my cousin Mark, my best friend Jeff, and pink jeep-driving Schnork, to form a little APBA league around 1972. APBA is a baseball board/card game that is similar to the popular Strat-o-matic game and it can be very addictive if you were baseball stats hound like all of us were. And stupid shy of girls. So flash ahead some 43 years and it’s time to get the board game geeks back together for a round of Wisconsin golf and reminisce about the good old APBA days. Golf is a great venue for old guy reunions. We get to complain about our physical ailments, wives, jobs, and sports teams while having a few beers, smoking cigars, over tipping cart girls, and whacking a stupid little white ball around the park. Not quite heaven, but just on the fringe.
So we chose Oak Ridge golf course in little Milton, WI because it was relatively close to Jeff (a FIP from DeKalb, Il.), was inexpensive, and looked damn easy – which gave me a decent shot at breaking 80. Hey, the year is winding down and I need to reach my goal. But it would be without Schnork. As a renown Just-In-Time planner, tracking down someone I haven’t seen in the last 30 years in just a few days was doomed to fail. But I did find out via the web that Schnork now lives in Byron, Il. and was away on a business trip to D.C. this week. Of course there was no pink jeep match and that info could have been from years ago – so the Schnork mystery may last for another 30 years. Jeff popped up from DeKalb, Il., even after hearing that his father has passed away in Florida earlier in the week. Same time around when Irma hit but his death was deemed natural and unrelated to the storm. Jeff’s mother also passed in the last 6 months so it’s been a rough year for Jeff. He definitely needed APBA buddy time. Cousin Mark popped over from Wauwatosa and I came up from Rockford after enjoying a wonderful dinner the night before with my dear mum. Getting 3 out of 4 original APBA league guys to show wasn’t bad. That’s like rolling a 33 on an APBA card, getting a 0, and then rolling a 22 to get a 6 on the second column – translating into a double! Sorry, that’s APBA lingo.
Matt, Jeff, and Mark
At the quaint little Oak Ridge clubhouse and bar I was amazed to find out that they didn’t have any cigars AND that Mark and Jeff hadn’t seen one another for 34 years – not since my wedding. Wow, it was really great to get them back together again. Now that’s like rolling double sixes and getting a “1” for a home run (APBA). This was going to be fun. Especially when Mark loads up a cart cooler with Miller Lite and Budweiser. Mark’s a Brewer fan and I’m a Cardinals fan and we were backing our breweries during this exciting pennant race. Ignore the fact that my Cards were about to get swept in Chicago today to virtually end their season. It was still exciting that the Crew were in it. And the Cards still had a slim chance of sneaking into the second wildcard spot. But they’d need to roll snake eyes (APBA)! Anyways, I was going to really push myself today by trying to break 80 while keeping up with downing beers with Mark. I’m not sure those odds are even possible in APBA but it will be fun trying. And did I mention that I was up from 11pm-2am last night manning an IT install from my mom’s couch? And I was wearing a knee and back brace today after playing soccer and softball during the week. Hey, life is short. If I waited to be healthy and rested, I’d never do anything.
One more quick note about Mark’s drinking abilities. Mark and I went on an epic family boys spring training trip a few years back to Florida. After a heavy final night of drinking with Mark, my son Ray, and my nephew Casey, we were sitting at the airport waiting to return home. My son Ray takes out his company’s new personal breathalyzer device and everyone blows into it to verify that they are now completely sober – like a clean 0.00 reading. Except for Mark. He blows a 0.12 reading showing he’s still legally intoxicated the day after. We suspect he ditched us in the airport for a few minutes to hit the airport lounge, but probably not. Anyways, he’s legendary with the young family guys per the drinking – and his advice on women. But that’s for another blog. I love Mark. He’s like a grade ‘9’ shortstop with 3 ones on his card (APBA). Oh, and Mark wore swim trunks at his daughters wedding reception this summer. Make that 4 ones on his card (APBA).
Ok, so let’s play some golf. Oak Ridge is a pretty basic course with forgiving fairways, few bunkers, and flat greens. Not quite as scenic and interesting as the courses I’ve been playing north of Milwaukee, but still very enjoyable – and a great place to break 80. This course reminded me of the Rockford city courses that us guys played together as kids – so it was very appropriate for today’s round. Not surprisingly Jeff played his usual steady, boring round – he’s a sports playing machine. Very good softball pitcher, basketball guard, golfer, etc. In golf he doesn’t hit the ball real long, but it’s usually on target. Jeff finished the last two holes with monster putts to card an 84 (42,42), which he was really happy with given that he hasn’t played much this summer. Mark shot in the nineties, but was very happy with his rusty game that today produced some nice birdie opps. Mark was pumped up by his play as he prepped for his annual Tosa neighborhood scramble. Gotta love Tosa. Tosa probably has the most APBA players in metro Milwaukee area. That would be Mark.
Mark executing nice approach shot on the 14th
So I shot a disappointing 42 on the front, finishing with painful double bogeys on both 8 and 9. Yeah, it was the beer talking on the green. 4 beers over 4 hours of golf shouldn’t have much of an impact, but I think it did shankify my putting a bit. I ended up with five 3-putts for the day – that’s awful, even for me. I did finish with a decent 40 on the back nine, playing the final 5 holes at par. So my overall score was an 82, 3 lousy putts from my goal. So close. I did record my longest drive of the year at 318 yards on the par 5 eleventh, thanks to a decent tail wind and downhill fairway. Still only led to a par but it’s nice to crank 300 yard drives from time to time – at my old age. It’s like rolling a 33 on the old Dave Kingman card and getting a “1” for a dinger (APBA).
I was also able to finally try out my oversized torch cigar lighter that I’ve had forever, but never dragged out on a course before. No more struggles with lighting cigars on windy courses using matches and tiny Bic lighters. No more relying on Lauren, my literally smoking hot partner, to save my arse and get my cigar going for me. So I torched up a cigar that Mark kindly gave to me at the start and I thoroughly enjoyed it thru the round – and only had to re-torch it twice. Like the beers, it didn’t help me break 80, but it did help me enjoy not breaking 80. That’s like rolling a 13 and getting a “21” which meant reached first on error (APBA).
Cigars beware!
Final Score: 82 (42,40) 2 birdies, 7 pars. 0 lost balls. The real joy of this round was not the golf but reuniting with my high school APBA buddies and reminiscing about old times. We hit Lucy's Hideaway, a great little bar just a few miles north of the course, to break out Mark’s old APBA set of cards and chat a while before heading back to our regular lives. We shuffled thru Mark’s cards and amazingly remembered details about individual cards. It’s crazy how I can’t remember what I ate for lunch yesterday, but I can remember how many 11’s (single and stolen base) Lou Brock’s ’72 APBA card had. We all agreed that we had to do an APBA convention road trip one of these years. But first I need to get Jeff and Mark to join my family guys on our spring training trip to Florida in March, which includes attending the Bay Hill PGA event and playing a few rounds of premium golf. Man, what’s better than a baseball and golf vacation? Hmm, maybe helping to get childhood friends back together again after 34 years…
Go Cards!

Man fighting for life in Derriford after hit-and-run
A 25-yr-vintage Man is combating for his existence in Derriford Health facility after a hit-and-run in South Devon.
Police are investigating the incident which took place at 00.55am on Saturday morning in Westridge Street, Kingsteignton.
The man suffered existence threatening injuries inside the collision. The automobile involved failed to prevent at the scene. Giving Up Grandma – A Fight For existence, A Combat For Dying
First, she stated she was feeling a bit “beneath the weather.” She did seem slightly paler than standard but, with flu season upon us, we chalked this minor exchange in skin coloration as much as not anything greater than “she have to have caught whatever is going around.”
Then, she complained of ache inside the mid-to-lower right facet of her stomach. This ache, she stated, regarded to “wrap-around” the right side of her body, inflicting soreness in each the front and back. “Likely just sore ribs,” we concluded, “she has been coughing an awful lot recently.”
Subsequent, terrible bouts of nausea became a frequent traveler. Even though she by no means physically vomited, those episodes alone had been extra than enough to leave her simply bedridden and constantly within near variety of a “barf bucket.” Right now we felt we ought to not count on an easy flu nailed her, however, rather, that her symptoms had been because of a “tons more difficult-to-kick-than-regular” belly flu.
Negative Grandma, we notion, for someone 83 years of age, when even the minor-est of flu’ may be difficult to triumph over, she now needed to deal with an excellent more enemy then we at the beginning first concept; a dreadful belly flu, one among which changed into wreaking terrible havoc on her body and one of which regularly had her crippled over in ache, had her in its grip so tightly we were unsure if it would ever allow going. Darn flu, besides!
Our force to the Health center changed into one taken in nearly perfect silence, neither my husband nor I within the proper frame of mind to truly communicate. Photos of grandma; scared, crying and screaming out in terrible ache, consumed my mind with such depth that any sights to be seen outdoor our truck home windows went unseen thru my eyes. The shopping mall, movie complex, several restaurants, and numerous fuel stations…All flashed by using in a blur, omitted. while we reached the Medical institution not greater than twenty mins later, I used to be nearly in disbelief at “how” we were given there, my memory of the trip, not anything extra than just a “blip” on a radar display screen. Once internal, however, I did now not want my reminiscence to serve as a reminder as to “why” we were there; crisp white uniforms, sickly faded inexperienced partitions and the heavy smell of disinfectant lingering within the air made me very conscious.
We were at the Health center, we had been here for grandma and grandma was going to die…soon.
I appeared over at my husband, supplied a vulnerable smile and took his hand in mine. “K, permit’s try this,” I said, with extra conviction in my voice then I felt. With a nod of his head, he again my smile, placed an arm around my shoulders and we have been off, headed for room 517.
We reached our destination mere moments later and, Although I attempted to stay calm, coming face-to-face with the door to grandma’s room sent a rush of panic through my frame so harsh that it left me in a close to the frenzied nation. Abruptly, I felt “detached” from the rest of the arena, as though not anything and nobody around me existed anymore. I should see, I should pay attention, I may want to odor; but, my senses seemed to have gone awry, making my head spin and leaving me to feel faint. Terrified, my frame shook uncontrollably and nausea filled my gut. With no actual affirmation of what we might discover As soon as we entered the room I had only my expectancies to depend upon and, of my expectations, none had been nowhere near the quality. The truth turned into, this changed into no sports display; there were no “winning doorways” for me to select from and no prize awaited me on the opposite aspect. I took a deep breath to relax and, with one very shaky hand, reached out, grew to become the knob and started out to open the door.
Laughter!
What the heck? Why do I listen laughter and who might be laughing at a time like this? I was bowled over! Wow, the nerve of some people. Grandma is on this room, loss of life, and a person in the very identical room is actually…guffawing? How dare they? How dare they come into this room and make so mild of what is going on? Do they now not understand what a hard time that is and do they not care? My God, my Negative, candy, terrific grandma…”how I sure do wish you cannot pay attention what’s taking region around you at this very second.” Now, not only shocked but aggravated as properly, I may want to infrequently wait to give the “offender(s)” a bit of my mind so I readied myself for a confrontation, flung the door open huge and charged into the room at complete velocity.
“GRANDMA?” I gasped! “What…What are you doing away from bed?”
In one nook of the room, Next to the window, sat grandma. She sat in a vinyl chair, her frail body buried under a mountain of blankets, carrying the maximum lovely smile on her face. I could not agree with my eyes! I had fully anticipated to locate her mendacity in bed, doped up on painkillers and, much more likely than now not, unconscious to the arena. Boy, was I wrong! On both aspect of her sat my mother, my brother, an aunt and an uncle and several different relatives, all engrossed inside the memories she become telling of “days long past by using” and all of the even as she beamed from ear-to-ear. Wow, what a stunning sight! however, even greater lovely was the hearty laughter that escaped her lips at the same time as she acknowledged those activities. Sure, laughter and, Sure, grandma changed into none apart from one of the “perpetrator(s)” herself. This discovery, I quickly found out, would grow to be one among which I might treasure for all time.
“Oh, the kids are right here,” grandma introduced with a smile. “Are available, youngsters, Are available and deliver grandma a hug.”
As asked, my husband and i went over to grandma and we took her into our hands, maintaining her tight And not using a desire to permit pass. I found the warm temperature of her body comforting but, as for the gentle fragrance of plants on her skin, no longer a lot. My old’ manufacturing unit senses at once recognized the heady scent as a fragrance she often wore and, when the realization I might by no means breath that heady scent from her pores and skin again hit me, it hit me difficult. Beaten by way of grief, I crumpled deep into grandma’s fingers and allow the tears go with the flow. Squeezing me tight, she cooed, “Now, now, no tears, toddler, everything might be nice.” How ironic, I notion, I had come here to consolation grandma in her time of need but, now, it become her who changed into comforting me.
“How, grandma, how? How is the entirety going to be first-class?” I whimpered, “you are…Leaving us!”
“Leaving you? Oh no, pricey,” she countered. “I’m no longer leaving you, I am simply loss of life.”
Then, inside the gentle-spoken voice of hers that I was so familiar with, she went directly to explain to me, in depth, her emotions on lifestyles, Dying and existence-after-Death. I found out that now not most effective was grandma extra than ready to die, I found out that she was additionally very tons “searching forward” to it. In Reality, when first given the information approximately her quickly-to-take-region impending Demise, she instructed me she felt a combination of pleasure, exhilaration and remedy. “I’ve had a terrific life here on the planet,” she stated, “however my bones are antique and my frame aches, I am geared up to move on and join grandpa, the exchange will do me desirable.” Grandpa had surpassed away 13 years in advance and, after his Demise, there has been not anything grandma wanted extra then to be reunited with him another time. With the inevitable soon to arrive, and along with her robust non secular beliefs, she felt very relaxed in feeling that this reunion turned into truly on the agenda. Without worry, issues or worries, Dying knocked at her door and she or he become best too glad to welcome it in.
