Continuing on with the Marvel theme in memory of Stan Lee...one of my favorite characters in the Marvel Universe - Captain America. I purchased a cheap bodysuit off eBay and modified it, bought a corset and modified it. Cap and this costume taught me so much about who I was as a person and helped me concrete my morals and beliefs. It was a costume I bought before I even understood what Cosplay was and even though it’s seen better days now, the joy it has brought to so many people in so many different occasions makes me so happy. To me, Cap is the epitome of what Stan Lee did so well - bringing people together and giving people hope. Out of all of the Stan Lee cameos - this one’s my favorite.

In honor of Stan Lee - someone who created the Marvel Universe that many of us still love having and appreciate knowing to this day (probably now more than ever). Stan Lee’s legacy includes so many stories that have been inspirational to me (literally captivating my imagination and concepts of fantasy since I was a kid).

Stan Lee’s stories & characters were inspirational to me in a lot of ways since I was a child. In a world full of drab and very “mature” subject matter - Stan Lee was one of the names that presented loud, vibrant, and very colorful stories full of a lot of fun & unique elements. The world’s imagination has been guided by the likes of Stan Lee (as well as many other great contributors to storytelling) and the world will not be the same without his existing presence.

God bless Stan Lee for helping shape my understanding of heroism amidst conflict (both internal & external) while using some of the most fantastic of ways of sharing such a concept (through Comic Books, Animations, Video Games, and Motion Pictures).

Stan Lee was a man of many talents and even more children. From our always challenged favorite teenage webslinger Spiderman to one of the greatest villains of all time even with a cliche name like Doctor Dooom you cant help but be intimidated and charmed by his drive to save us all no matter the cost. Stan Lee has and will continue to inspire countless artist comic book or otherwise to follow there dreams, never give up and to believe in yourself even when nobody else does. Growing up a military brat wasn't always easy, constantly moving every few years, being the new kid. Having to make new friends, new school in a foreign country, not always easy. But my love of Marvel and what the late great Mr. Stan Lee has created sure helped alot. The stories are have a human aspect which shows that even the mightiest of heroes are vulnerable to love, peer pressure, loss and have disabilities which makes them relatable.
