W4. Is there a fandom you haven’t before but want to try in 2025? (Or a fandom you’d like to go back and write more for in 2025?)

TBH, I’ve never been good at participating in more than one fandom at a time. I can read for multiple fandoms but writing… Just one. I’ve never known why that is, haha. So, I’d like to keep sticking around in DC for a while longer, I think

But… If I could write for more than one fandom, I would love to go back & finish the fic I’d started for SRMTHFG. I also have several unfinished fics for other fandoms, but IDK if I would ever actually end up having them see the light of day ahskjd

G4. Give me your favorite line from a current WIP.

I love the dialogue from the opening scene for my ghost hunters wip. It’s loosely based on buzzfeed unsolved, though more the fandom joke that the skeptic of the two ghost hunters is actually a demon in disguise shskjdk

“No,” Jason says flatly. “Absolutely not.”

“C’mon,” Tim wheedles. There’s a stubborn set to his jaw, his shoulders. He’s not the kind of person to let go of an idea, once it lodges in his brain. Jason admires it; the sheer force of will packed into all five feet and eight inches of him. He also hates it, especially when it leads to scenarios like this, the two of them on opposite sides, and unwilling to back down.

Because Jason is stubborn too. “No, Tim,” Jason says firmly, digging his metaphorical heels in. “I can think of oh, about a dozen better ways for us to spend our time.”

Tim frowns at him. Jason hates how adorable he finds it; hates the irrepressible urge he feels to smooth it away, perhaps with his own mouth. Tim jabs a finger at Jason’s chest, though the diner table between them keeps him from making contact. “You’re just afraid we’ll find proof, and you’ll have to eat your words.”

Jason scoffs. “Hardly.” He bats Tim’s hand away.

Tim isn’t actually far off the mark. He wants to go ghost hunting—no, more than that, he wants to start a ghost hunting show, exploring Gotham’s more haunted areas, and Jason… well. Jason is worried that they’ll find something. Not because he’ll have to eat his words, though, but because it could be dangerous.

If they stick to the locations that most people considered “active”, they’ll be fine. Those places aren’t haunted, not really. Maybe they had been once, but now it’s all residual energy, brought to life by overactive imaginations and nerves.

But Jason knows Tim—has gotten to know him quite well, over the past couple of years—and he knows that, while he may start with the popular locales, he won’t be satisfied with them forever. That’s charted territory. Tim prefers the unknown; the unexplained. So he’ll go digging, and probably find reports of places that are actually haunted.

And considering that this is Tim, who can find trouble just by walking down the street… well. It’s a recipe for disaster.

Not that Jason can say any of that. As far as Tim knows, Jason doesn’t believe in any of that bullshit. (Honestly, most of the stuff Tim talks about is bullshit, so it isn’t even that hard to pretend.) Jason wants to keep it that way.

Is it cruel, to lie to his best friend the way he’s doing?

Yeah, probably.

But it’s keeping Tim safe, so Jason never lets himself feel bad about it.

“I’m actually worried about you, I dunno, tripping over a raised floorboard and ending up with tetanus, or something,” Jason says. Which, to be fair, also a real fear, if less pressing.

Tim scowls at him and kicks Jason’s knee under the table. “I’m not that bad,” he protests. “And, anyway, even if I was, that’s what you’d be there for. To keep me from getting tetanus.” Tim smiles winningly, and Jason knows he’s lost.

Ahhh it's hard cuz I posted quite a bit! BUT I remembered this one little line I really liked from Orchid of the Moon

"He feels her love, and he feels loved."

A very simple line, but it carries so much in context especially. Idk sometimes the simplest sentences are the most impactful!

sooo for a long while now i’ve been working on this two-part jaytim series. i’ve been calling it “teenage fantasies” (one being side a & the other side b… like an old cassette tape or record? haha)

side a focuses on a fantasy tim had about robin—him recounting the fantasy while also acting out the motions, haha. it’s mostly finished, i just need to clean up the beginning.

side b focused on jason, and involves truth pollen + bondage, to sort of mimic being caught up in a lasso of truth ;) i’m still working on that one, haha.

There’s Tim, looking at him with bright eyes and flushed cheeks, faintly awestruck and painfully earnest. In Jason’s mind, he’s not 12, 13 as he would have been, but 14. 15, even. Younger, but not young.

“It is. I know it is, now, and even then I suspected. You brush it off, though. After all, you’re Robin. This is what you do. And I say, ‘Yeah—but. You deserve to get something back. To be taken care of.’”

Fantasy-Tim’s cheeks grow red, while real-Tim’s pinken.

“’Let me make you feel good.’ And I drop to my knees.”

Jason’s breath catches. He’s flushed. His skin prickles; his cock stirs. Teenage-him probably would have panicked and fled, or tried to stop him; face tomato-red. Fantasy-teen Jason stays, biting his lip, back pressed against the wall, thighs parting.

He wants. He’s nervous. But he needs this. Needs someone’s soft touch. Concern. Affection. Fifteen-year-old Jason needed so badly for someone to care.

Ahhh that's such a hard question!!

I really love the costumes in the 80s Anne of Green Gables TV films, especially Anne's costumes in the 2nd movie. They're just so dreamy and romantic w the hair haha. There's some 80s influences, but I'd say they're not too over the top and feel appropriate for the world of the film.

Anne's bridesmaid dress is so pretty.

26. are you able to write with other people around?

Yes! Most of my fics were written while someone else is in the room with me, but I've also written at like, family get togethers and stuff haha Sometimes it's easier than others; I've never quite figured out the 'trick' to it but... yeah xD

hmmm, it was harder to pick one than i thought fghj there are several i'm quite proud of.

things unspoken (now said); i struggled a lot with this one just bc the deadline was so close and it kept getting longer and longer fghjk i honestly probably could have added at least another 10k to it as well as spent a lot longer editing it BUT i'm really proud of how it came out & came together fghj i'd never written fake dating OR a casefic before so it was really fun to do that for the first time haha

Nothing could have prepared Wen Ning for seeing Mo Xuanyu again. He shouldn't have considered it impossible, given his own existence, given the fact Wei Wuxian is capable of so many things. He still thought the boy was lost forever to the ritual that brought Wei Wuxian back, that those brief encounters they had in so many years ago would be his only memories.

But now the other man stands before him, looking the age he would have been had he lived, his body breathing and blushing life.

If he could, he supposes he would cry. Mo Xuanyu will have to cry for the both of them.

@ressaart I've got no idea about retcons, but it still makes sense that Bruce taught Jason how to shoot.

If you're gonna be around guns (i.e., people are shooting at you), it's important to know how they work. Robin would need to know how to treat them (always loaded, never aim at anything you don't intend to shoot) and what their limitations are (unintended firing when they're dropped or during a disarm, richochet, how to not be in the line of fire...)
