and of course it’s a dark elf resplendent.

(IS can we please have at least ONE vanaheimr resplendent?!)

Yesssss it’s really pretty tho so I can’t complain!!

I would love to see what they’d do for Vanaheimr resplendents too… it could be so gorgeous with the iridescence!! <33

I had an idea for an outfit loosely based of the feh resplendent theme

We wish you a resplendent summer! Eat drink and be ye olde merry! It's Thinbloods (And a Fullblood Scourge) enjoying an evening pleasure faire. All gorgeous and perfect!! This was the most difficult one to put together, everyone did such a great job on the outfits and I didn't want to cover anybody up! I snipped the bigger, original copy into pieces and resized the full version at the top so we can see it all in one spot! (Tumblr does NOT like the original full image) These are amazing, I'm so happy you guys joined me! It's my birthday month so I consider this a little present for myself... In order of appearance! And now for something completely different: I tried my hand at making a Vanaheimr themed resplendent costume because I hate Yoshiku's designs so badly, but some of the elements have potential if only a different artist went at it.

Camilla is a kind of boring choice for this theme but also easy to work with because the shapes of her outfit match the main OCs for this book for the most part. I kind of want to attempt some more of these with less obvious character choices.

Out of all the 9 Camilla alts, which artist is the best artist for Camilla?

Even though Camilla's had WAY too many alts, at least this gives me the benefit of looking at which artist is the best.

Which, I think I'm gonna give that to Yoshiro Ambe's Pirate Camilla:

Very pretty colors, purple shading to compliment Camilla's purple color scheme, and the outfit design is super cute, it's designed to be both pirate-y looking while still embracing Camilla's beauty. I'd honestly love to see Yoshiro Ambe tackle a single Camilla alt... But that would mean giving Camilla another alt, so I don't know if it's worth it, lol. Maybe they can draw Resplendent Camilla.

Oh, wow! Sarah Vine said that? And just to think that eleven days ago someone was trying to point out to me that the coronation was like a "wedding."

Oh, how the tables have turned.

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but wasn't the Coronation about King Charles and Queen Camilla? 

This video featuring the Prince and Princess of Wales and their charming children, seems a teeny-tiny bit premature.

Don't get me wrong, we adore them. In particular, the Princess of Wales is, at every turn, the picture of perfection – impeccably turned-out, stunningly beautiful, stylish – as this short film reminds the world.

We see her greeting crowds on The Mall in a chic white dress; arriving at the Coronation Concert with the kids, edgy in an asymmetric red jacket and beachy blow-dry; and again, on the big day itself, resplendent in her official robes.

She wafts through Kensington Palace, with its stylish lamps and plumped-up cushions, before lifting the hem of her dress to step into the waiting car.

Next, she's in skinny jeans, helping Prince Louis with a wheelbarrow and getting stuck in with the Scouts.

Prince William, meanwhile, is the very image of Royal duty. Striding manfully on to the stage at the Windsor Castle concert, pledging his allegiance to his father, putting a protective paw around his wife's willowy waist, assisting his children. Showman, statesman, husband, dad. Hurrah!

It's lovely, and they really are an idyllic family – but there's something just a bit too slick about it, a bit too party political broadcast. A bit, dare I say it, manipulative.

Was the Hollywood-style video really necessary?

We all know that William and Kate are the future. Nobody doubts that. Charles is an old king, coming to the throne in his twilight years. 

Nevertheless, this was his and Queen Camilla's moment, not theirs. By starring in a video produced by a man who boasts about having 'a portfolio of world-leading clients' and creating 'story-led branded content', it feels… well, a bit 'look at me'.

There is an element of Netflix-style narcissism that makes me slightly uneasy. And though the footage shows us a lot, it actually tells us very little about the Waleses. 

It's superficial, one-dimensional, like one of those adverts you see on TV in foreign hotels extolling the virtues of this or that tourist destination.

I hate to say it, but I'd almost rather watch one of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's worthy wildlife docs. But maybe I'm wrong. Maybe this is exactly what everyone wants to see – the Princess of Wales up close in slow motion, from as many different angles as possible.

Shortly after the video's release, we were treated to another film, of Kate playing a grand piano in a bright blue off-the-shoulder gown with last year's Ukrainian victors of Eurovision.

Truly a 24/7 megastar Princess.

It'll be interesting to see what follows in the future on their social media. Will it be more of the same? Or will they highlight the charities, places, and people they visited?

At this point I feel like Brave Camilla will get her resplendent before her base.

Honestly yeah I feel that’s probably true,,, it seems pretty well considered that base Camilla is a “break glass in case of emergency” resplendent situation, whereas the Brave units are pretty much guaranteed to get a resplendent

I mean I won’t complain, as I’ve had zero luck getting a Brave Camilla, so at least her getting a resplendent eventually will give me a copy :')
