We meet again, Bohol!
As beautiful as the Philippines is, many destinations offer mostly sand and surf. But not Bohol. This province is known for unique attractions that you can’t find anywhere else in the Philippines.
Sure, other islands in the Philippines are worth recommending, too, but most boast one or two of the following — white beaches, incredible sites, diverse wildlife, interesting history. Bohol has them all. From wild encounters with dolphins and tarsiers to the incomparable views of the Chocolate Hills, Bohol is a province that is easy to promote. It doesn’t need much sales talk.
We stayed at Coastal View in Panglao, then we transferred to On Board Beach Hostel and Resort for some quiet alone time near the beach. The wedding was at South Palms Resort, and I can attest that this is probably the most exquisite hotel here, next to Bohol Beach Club.
I was tasked with the daunting task of speaking in front of everyone. I wasn't really prepared to cry, so I let the "funny" me take over. Let me share to you guys my speech during the wedding.
"Kamusta naman ang lahat? Nakainom na ba? Kung Hindi pa, ito na yung time. Haha. For everyone's reference, I'm jasfher ako yung favorite friend ng groom and bride. Jk. Haha.
Jk. Haha
Okay kidding aside, sige maybe I'll just start ho I met the bride and the groom. Tagalog yung speech ko so pasensya na. To our foreigner friends, welcome to the Philippines. Haha.
Si brux and karla orgmates ko from UP travel society. Hindi ko din alam paano nabuo yung barkadahan namin, pero I guess we all just clicked and nagkakaayaan na lang kumain, gumala, tumambay ganyan, and the rest was history.
Yung siargao kasi grabe talaga yun gabi-gabi kami lasing as in tumatakbo kami nina karla sa kalsada tapos hinahabol kami nina brux. Haha. Grabe talaga yun. Nung South Cotabato naman, natry namin yung highest zipline in the South East Asia, may nadaanan kaming apat na waterfalls ganun kataas. Tapos ang dami naming change costume nag T'boli traditional costume kami, tapos nag abaya and hijab kami nung pumunta kaming Grand Mosque. Very dubai ganon. Haha.
Indeed a matchmake in heaven walang distance distance. They will really make way to communicate, and show their love for each other. The yin to each other's yang.
So medyo ang haba na no? haha so summary and summary? Haha. Nakita ko silang nag grow, both literally and figuratively. As in kung may masasabi akong couple na tested by time and distance ay sila talaga iyon. In between those laughters, I know genuine love is there. Sobrang happy ko na nagkatuluyan kayo, and from day 1, alam kong kayo na talaga. I know madaming taon taon pa tayong pagsasamahan, at andito lang kami para sa inyo. Congratulations, Karla and Brux, and i only hope the best for you both. Mahal na mahal ko kayo 💕
Cheers to the brucals!" Probably the best and most heartfelt wedding I've been to. Cryfest. Literally shed buckets of tears. So this is how it feels like to see your close friends get married. I was so lucky to have witnessed this momentous event in our barkada (god and tanda na namin haha)

Easter
Wow kemarin ku habis libur panjang Jumat-Senin easter break 2024.
Oh awalnya kami bahas The Gentleman si Theo James bagus, terus seniorku bilang “kita tahu Theo James dari White Lotus tuh, bagus deh recommended”. Jadinya aku langsung subscribe Now (buat sebulan ini aja sih), dan langsung ngebingewatch 2 season langsung selama long weekend kemarin.
Si temanku ini sampai nanya “Non, can you see yourself living in Oxford for good?”. Ku jawabnya agak ragu-ragu, tapi setelah mikir lama: “I think yes”. Hhhh. Betulan deh. Vibenya tuh mirip banget kaya pas aku lagi ngerjain TA tinggal di Tuabatan, Timor. Slow living aja gitu. Saling sapa antar warga.
Udah sih. Apa lagi ya.
Oh, my verdict on White Lotus: it’s great 8.5/10 lah (esp season 1). Season 2 terlalu fokus pada kenikmatan duniawi berupa sex, jadi agak redundant aja menurutku. Season 1-nya OK sih.
Setiap hari sebelum tidur (setelah melakukan ritual duolingo), ku usahakan baca sedikit. Ku lagi baca simultaneously: Good Enough-nya Dolly Alderton (agak boring karena pov-nya white man brits banget jadi susah relate), Backwards in High Heels (ini mayan rame, ku suka banget writersnya super sassy jadi selalu giggling sendiri kalau baca ini), sama Your Brain on Art.
Lupa pertama kali kenapa sampe ke-ekspos sama Your Brain on Art tuh. Ku tapi sampe dibeliin sama RSL ni buku karena ku request. So far nggak terlalu seru lagi ☹, jauh lebih insightful baca This is Your Brain on Music-nya David Levitin (jauh lebih scientific dan jelas evidence dari argument yang dibawa). Si your brain on art ini jatohnya jadi lebih kaya anekdot orang-orang cerita aja dia kerja di suatu institusi mental health dan incorporating art in their method and it proved work (for some of them). Tapi yaudah udah kepalang baca jadi harus bertanggungjawab menyelesaikan Non.
Udah sepertinya itu dulu aja update-annya. Kerjaan lagi mayan behind tapi gapapa semangat!
Wow. Tapi ku senang banget. $35 yang super worth it.
Dah gitu aja.
Selamat 10 hari terakhir Ramadan semua!!!

Globetrotting on a Budget: How to Explore Luxuriously Without Breaking the Bank
Traveling the world is often considered a luxury reserved for those with deep pockets. Still, with thoughtful planning and savvy strategies, you can enjoy luxury without overspending. From discovering hidden gems to enjoying high-end experiences for less, traveling on a budget means something other than sacrificing comfort or style. Instead, it’s about making the most of your resources while indulging in the finer aspects of exploration.
Choosing Affordable Destinations That Feel Luxurious
The key to affordable luxury travel is selecting destinations where your money stretches further without compromising quality. Many countries offer world-class experiences at a fraction of the cost of traditional high-end destinations. Southeast Asia, for example, is known for stunning beaches, five-star accommodations, and exquisite dining options at much lower prices than Europe or North America.
Cities like Bangkok or Bali boast luxurious hotels, serene spas, and gourmet dining at rates affordable to budget travelers. Eastern Europe, with destinations such as Budapest or Prague, offers opulent architecture, rich cultural experiences, and elegant accommodations for less. You can enjoy luxury without financial strain by researching exchange rates, seasonal pricing, and local costs.
Timing Your Travel for Maximum Savings
One of the most effective ways to save on travel is to plan around off-peak seasons. High-season travel often comes with inflated prices for flights, hotels, and attractions, but off-season or shoulder-season travel can offer substantial savings. In addition to lower costs, traveling during these periods means fewer crowds and a more intimate experience of popular landmarks.
For instance, visiting Europe in the late fall or early spring allows you to explore iconic cities like Paris or Rome without peak-season crowds and at reduced rates. Similarly, tropical destinations such as the Caribbean often offer discounts during hurricane season, though careful planning is necessary to avoid potential weather disruptions. Flexible scheduling can also help you take advantage of last-minute deals on flights and accommodations, ensuring you get the most value for your money.
Finding Luxury Accommodations at Budget-Friendly Prices
Staying in luxurious accommodations doesn’t always require booking expensive hotels. Alternative lodging options like boutique guesthouses, vacation rentals, and hostels with private rooms can provide upscale experiences at significantly reduced prices. Platforms like Airbnb and VRBO often feature unique properties with luxurious amenities such as pools, hot tubs, or stunning views, offering a personalized touch that rivals high-end hotels.
Many luxury hotels also offer discounts through loyalty programs, flash sales, or partnerships with credit card companies. Signing up for hotel newsletters or using apps to track price drops can help you secure premium accommodations at a fraction of their standard cost. In destinations with popular all-inclusive resorts, last-minute deals can provide access to luxury services, gourmet dining, and activities at a manageable price.
Indulging in Fine Dining on a Budget
One of the joys of traveling is experiencing exceptional cuisine, and fine dining doesn’t have to drain your wallet. Many Michelin-starred or highly rated restaurants offer affordable lunch menus, allowing you to savor gourmet meals without the hefty price tag. Street food and local markets are another way to sample authentic, high-quality dishes at low prices.
Seeking out local dining establishments rather than tourist hotspots often yields more affordable meals and a richer cultural experience. Apps like TheFork or OpenTable frequently list deals and discounts for upscale dining options. Additionally, cooking classes can provide an interactive and delicious way to enjoy local flavors while learning valuable skills to recreate the experience at home.
Exploring High-End Activities for Less
Luxury experiences such as private tours, spa treatments, or yacht excursions might seem out of reach, but they often become accessible with strategic planning. Group bookings or off-peak pricing can significantly lower costs for private or semi-private tours. Many luxury spas offer discounted rates during weekdays or off-hours, providing a chance to enjoy premium pampering without overspending.
Travel packages and city passes often include high-end experiences like guided museum tours, fine dining discounts, or access to exclusive events. Researching local deals or signing up for promotional offers can help you participate in bucket-list activities while staying within budget. For instance, wine tours, hot air balloon rides, or luxury train journeys often feature seasonal discounts that make them affordable options.
Traveling Smart with Loyalty Programs and Rewards
Frequent travelers can unlock significant savings through loyalty programs, travel credit cards, and rewards points. Airline miles or hotel points earned through everyday spending can be redeemed for flights, upgrades, or accommodations, making luxurious experiences more attainable. Credit cards offer sign-up bonuses or travel perks like free checked bags, lounge access, or priority boarding.
By consolidating your travel spending with one airline alliance or hotel chain, you can maximize rewards and enjoy exclusive benefits such as room upgrades, free breakfasts, or late checkouts. Monitoring promotional offers and leveraging points strategically during peak-value redemptions ensures you get the most out of these programs, turning ordinary trips into extraordinary experiences.
Embracing the Art of Slow Travel
Slow travel is an emerging trend that emphasizes quality over quantity. It allows you to immerse yourself in a destination without the rush of ticking off tourist hotspots. This approach reduces transportation costs and lets you discover hidden gems, local culture, and authentic experiences often overlooked by traditional tourists.
Renting a vacation home or staying in one area for an extended period can create opportunities to enjoy luxurious experiences at a slower, more affordable pace. Cooking local ingredients, exploring nearby neighborhoods, and engaging with residents can provide a deeper connection to the destination. Additionally, long-term stays often come with discounts on accommodations and activities, allowing you to stretch your budget while indulging in unique experiences.
Packing Smart to Save More
Traveling luxuriously on a budget starts before you leave home, with careful packing that eliminates unnecessary expenses. Packing light reduces baggage fees, especially on budget airlines, and allows for greater mobility. Bringing versatile clothing that transitions from day to night eliminates the need for additional travel purchases.
Including reusable items such as water bottles, utensils, or shopping bags can also save money and reduce waste. Investing in high-quality luggage with ample storage for travelers visiting multiple destinations ensures that your belongings stay safe while maintaining a polished appearance.
Enjoying the Journey, Not Just the Destination
The essence of luxurious travel lies not in extravagant spending but in creating meaningful and memorable experiences. By prioritizing comfort, connection, and quality, you can enjoy a rich and fulfilling journey without exceeding your budget. Small touches, such as choosing accommodations with stunning views or splurging on a single unforgettable meal, can elevate your trip and create lasting memories.
Traveling luxuriously on a budget requires creativity, flexibility, and a willingness to explore beyond the usual paths. By focusing on smart planning, savvy savings, and a sense of adventure, you can enjoy the world’s most extraordinary experiences while keeping your finances intact. The key is to remember that luxury is not about spending more—making every moment count.

Additionally, owning land in Bali provides opportunities for developing vacation homes, resorts, or commercial properties, capitalizing on the island's thriving tourism sector. The allure of Bali's natural beauty and the potential for high returns on investment make land here a compelling choice for investors.
Key Factors to Consider When Buying Land for Sale Bali
When exploring land for sale Bali, several factors are crucial to ensure a successful investment. Assess the land's location, checking its proximity to essential services like schools, hospitals, and shopping centers, as well as its accessibility and connectivity. Evaluate the land’s topography and zoning regulations to ensure it meets your development plans. Additionally, verify the land’s legal status, ensuring it has clear ownership titles and complies with local regulations. Understanding the local market trends and consulting with real estate professionals can also provide valuable insights and help make an informed decision.
How to Find the Best Deals on Land for Sale Bali?
Finding the best deals on land for sale Bali involves thorough research and strategic planning. Start by exploring online real estate platforms and contacting local real estate agents who specialize in Bali properties. Networking with locals and industry professionals can also lead to off-market opportunities. Be prepared to negotiate and compare multiple options to find the best value. It’s essential to visit the land in person to assess its suitability and verify the information provided by sellers. Working with experienced agents can help identify hidden gems and ensure you get a fair deal.
Understanding the Legal Requirements for Land Purchase in Bali
Purchasing land for sale Bali requires understanding local legal requirements to ensure a smooth transaction. Foreign buyers can acquire land in Bali through leasehold agreements or by setting up a local company. It’s crucial to work with a reputable notary and legal expert to navigate the complexities of Indonesian property laws and verify the land’s ownership status. Ensure that all necessary permits and documentation are in order before finalizing the purchase. Familiarize yourself with zoning regulations and land use restrictions to ensure the land meets your intended purpose.
Comparing Different Types of Land for Sale Bali
Land for sale Bali comes in various types, each with unique characteristics and benefits. Mahendra Jaya Ajak Seluruh Elemen Berkolaborasi dan Bersinergi dalam Pencegahan dan Penanganan TPPO
BALIPORTALNEWS.COM, DENPASAR - Penjabat (Pj) Gubernur Bali, S.M. Hal tersebut disampaikan olehnya saat menghadiri Regional Conference the Simultaneous Movement for Combating Human Trafficking in ASEAN Countries Region, Selasa (7/11/2023) di Golden Tulip Jineng Resort Bali.

Privacy is a Myth! (Or Maybe Not, But Let's Have Some Fun)
Privacy is nothing more than a fleeting illusion, a mythical creature that teases us from the shadows. Yes, fellow internet dwellers and digital adventurers, it's time to give a thought to the wacky world of online existence and embrace the idea that privacy is but a unicorn in a sea of data-hungry giants.
Picture this: You're innocently browsing the internet, minding your own business, when suddenly an ad pops up promoting that super-secret item you searched for two days ago. Coincidence? Nah! That's the universe conspiring to debunk the idea of privacy. The algorithms that rule the digital realm know more about you than your favorite pet does! Who needs secrets when a few clicks can reveal your deepest desires, embarrassing searches, and strange fascination with cat videos? Social media, the hub of our online personas, is the perfect place to witness the demise of privacy. We post pictures of our meals, announce our vacation plans, and share our thoughts on everything from politics to reality TV. But little do we know that our every move is being meticulously recorded and analyzed. Your mom might not even know what you had for lunch, but Facebook does! So much for keeping things low-key, right?
Now, let's not forget those infamous terms and conditions that we all blindly agree to. Who reads those walls of text? Nobody, that's who! So we happily give away our souls, agreeing to let countless corporations and platforms do whatever they want with our information. Wanna buy some beachfront property in the Arctic? Don't be surprised when your inbox gets flooded with ice cubes for sale. Privacy? It's just a funny little word buried in the depths of legalese. But wait, it gets better! Ever feel like someone is watching you? Well, congratulations, because they probably are. Big Brother may not be a dude with a handlebar mustache, but he's always lurking around the corner, ready to catch you red-handed. Security cameras, smart devices, and even your toothbrush are now potential witnesses to your every move. Remember that time you did the funky chicken dance in your underwear? Yeah, the Internet of Things does too!
Now, before you start panicking and preparing for a life off the grid, let's take a breather. While it's true that privacy is under siege in the digital age, it's not all doom and gloom. After all, a little bit of paranoia never hurt anyone... or did it? Regardless, let's find solace in the fact that we're all in this boat together. Our embarrassing search histories and questionable online purchases unite us in a collective web of vulnerability. So let's raise a glass to the demise of privacy. Let's embrace the absurdity of our digital lives and revel in the chaos of targeted ads and questionable data collection practices.
But, why privacy is as elusive as a sneaky ninja in a library?
Have you ever noticed that the moment you mention something in a conversation, your phone seems to develop supernatural eavesdropping powers? You're discussing a weekend getaway to Bali with your friends, and suddenly your social media feeds flood with ads for discounted flights and tropical resorts. Coincidence? I think not! It's almost as if Siri and Alexa have morphed into mind-reading fortune tellers who can't resist meddling in your personal affairs.
Oh, and let's not forget the infamous "smart" devices that have invaded our homes. We cannot overlook the ever-expanding presence of devices in every nook and cranny of our lives, from the boardroom to the bathroom. Sure, they may make our lives more convenient, but they also double as tiny surveillance cameras. From smart speakers that listen to our every word to smart TVs that watch us binge-watch our favorite shows, these technological marvels have an uncanny ability to know more about us than we know about ourselves. Remember, it's not paranoia if your toaster is sending detailed reports of your bread-browning preferences to some distant corporation!
But wait, there's more! Let's talk about those mind-boggling data breaches that seem to happen on a regular basis. We entrust our personal information to countless websites, apps, and online services, only to have it snatched away by hackers with a penchant for mischief. It's like putting a shiny lock on your front door, only to have a mischievous raccoon pick it with a bobby pin. So much for the sanctity of our personal data! While privacy may seem like a myth, there are steps we can take to regain some semblance of control.
Take social media platforms like Facebook, for example. They offer features like the "Restricted List" that allows you to control who sees your non-public posts. It's like having a velvet rope to separate your inner circle from the masses. But let's be honest, how many of us actually take advantage of this nifty tool? We willingly share our intimate moments, daily musings, and even our half-eaten breakfast sandwiches with the entire world, forgetting that privacy is something we once held dear. We scroll through our feeds, peering into the lives of friends, acquaintances, and even strangers. We revel in their triumphs, laugh at their witty remarks, and occasionally cringe at their questionable life choices. It's like being an invisible guest at an eternal online cocktail party. We willingly become spectators to the lives of others while inadvertently sacrificing our own privacy in the process. And let's not forget the notorious oversharing culture that has infiltrated our online existence. We've become a society of digital exhibitionists, flaunting our relationships, vacations, and meticulously filtered selfies to an audience craving constant updates. The line between public and private has blurred to the point where we no longer recognize the importance of protecting our personal lives from prying eyes.
But why is this? Are we simply attention seekers, desperate for validation in the form of likes and comments? Or is it that we've become so immersed in the connected world that we've forgotten what it means to truly safeguard our privacy? Perhaps it's a combination of both. In our quest for social acceptance, we willingly sacrifice privacy at the altar of virtual popularity. We yearn for that dopamine hit that comes with every notification, every interaction, and every momentary brush with online fame. In the process, we inadvertently relinquish the very thing we claim to cherish: our personal privacy.
It's time for some introspection. Let's take a moment to reflect on our own online behaviors and consider how we can strike a balance between connectivity and privacy. It's not about retreating into the shadows and becoming hermits of the digital world. Rather, it's about being mindful of what we share, whom we share it with, and the implications it may have on our personal privacy.
Let's also remember the power of self-restraint. Before hitting that "post" button, pause for a moment and ask yourself, "Is this something I truly want the world to see?" It's a small act of mindfulness that can go a long way in preserving our privacy and maintaining a sense of authenticity in our online presence.
Start by educating yourself about online privacy and security. Understand the risks and take measures to protect your personal information. Take back a slice of your digital existence by reclaiming control over the data you generate. And, of course, let's not forget the power of good old-fashioned common sense. Think twice before sharing sensitive information online, and be mindful of the digital footprint you leave behind. Sometimes, a little restraint can go a long way in preserving your privacy. While it's true that our personal information is scattered across the digital landscape, it doesn't mean we have to surrender entirely. Let's strive for a balance between embracing the convenience of the digital world and safeguarding our privacy.
And who knows? Maybe someday, in a future where privacy is respected and cherished, we'll look back on these amusing tales and chuckle at the absurdity of it all. Until then, if we can't have privacy, we might as well have a laugh about it. So, go forth, and may the algorithms forever guide your every click, reminding you that privacy is nothing more than a myth!
