ok im gonna. buy supplies for making bjd eyes. & also probably buy that leather strap cutter ive been thinking about for fucking months. wish me luck that i actually make some kind of progress with either of these projects finally,

#the leather strap cutter is bc the stuff i ordered was cut like ⅛“ wider than it was supposed to be so it doesnt fit any of my hardware :))#& ik if i get one of the cheap handheld ones it will come out uneven bc i wont be able to hold it steady...#ill probably keep buying the precut straps & trim them when necessary but maybe someday ill buy whole hides bc im pretty sure that would #be cheaper .#im mad that i cant find bulk listings of eye blanks #but i think im just gonna get some backs 3d printed through shapeways bc they can like polish them too. & then make a mold & cast them in #resin & probably use glass cabs instead of the acrylic chips the blanks usually come with #im gonna try printed irises. i dont go super realistic for my faceups so the eyes being less realistic isnt really a big deal for me
