now i’m in exile seeing you out. pt. 3
-
you didn’t show up to the spot bakugou had wanted you to meet him at, although you had made it to the city, but the moment you actually saw him sitting inside with a cup of hot chocolate, his large hands covering both sides of the mug as he stared into it.
the girls from ua highschool had befriended you during the licensing exam, seeking you out in the anteroom after you’d saved them from shindo at the start, shooting pieces of terrain up to catch them so they wouldn’t hit the earth as hard before you’d ran off to go deal with the source of the vibrations.
since then, you’d all grown much closer to each other, and they started inviting you over to their dorm so that you could all hang out and gossip, of course, they didn’t know about your history with their resident class hothead.
“what about you, y/n? have you got a boyfriend back at shiketsu? we heard that bald boy saying someone liked you at the exam!” hagakure may have been invisible, but that doesn’t mean she missed anything when she was at the exam.
“sorry to disappoint, but no, shiketsu has a no fraternizing policy. i can’t even go to inasa or shishikura’s dorm.” you spoke with a small smile on your face as the girls groaned, itching for some romance.
almost as if on cue, the fridge in the kitchen shut to reveal a blonde boy in a skull t-shirt, grabbing a variety of different vegetables and a cutting baord before the quiet sounds of chopping were heard in the next room.
“it sucks that bakugou’s so mean! he’s hot.” once again, hagakure chose to speak up silently as the other girls quietly agreed, even you nodded.
“say, y/n. why don’t we set you up with someone in our class?” mina had a naturally loud voice, so bakugou couldn’t help but raise his head up once he caught a portion of your conversation.
“no thank you. i’m not really looking for anyone at the moment.” he could almost picture the embarassed smile on your features, afraid to admit to them that you hadn’t even had your first kiss yet.
“come onn, i’m sure you’d be great with someone like todoroki or iida.” his knuckles were beginning to turn white as he almost cut himself with the knife, no way was half n’ half getting to you before he did.
when he start thinking sappy shit like that?
“they’re both really nice and sweet, but honestly i’m not really looking for anyone.” the blush on your face just grew redder, exposing your true feelings to the girls as they all shared a knowing grin with one another.
the topic was eventually dropped and you all begun to watch a movie, the silent sounds of someone rummaging around the kitchen were accompanying the sounds coming from the tv screen.
halfway through, a head was popped through the doorway.
“dinner’s ready! get it while it’s hot. or don’t. i don’t care.” you’d never really seen this side of katsuki before, the side that’s always angry at the world no matter what.
you were used to the katsuki that would calmly tell you about his day as you both either studied or did homework, the katsuki that would hold doors open for you, the katsuki that would always prioritize your safety over his.
the girls quickly pulled you into the kitchen, much to your dismay as you tried to tell them that it was okay and you really should’ve been going by now.
“this all looks so yummy! what’re you gonna get, y/n?” uraraka turned to you with a bowl in her hand as you politely waved the bowl away.
“oh no thank you, i’m not hungry right now.” you were hungry. matter of fact you hadn’t eaten all day, but you weren’t trying to overstay your welcome, nor were you trying to stay in the same place as bakugou for too long.
you could feel his eyes glaring daggers into the back of your head, almost as if he was trying to telepathically talk to you.
“you need to eat, dumbass.”
it was like his voice kept playing on repeat in your mind ever since the day you and him had talked at the training session. or well since the day you talked and he just stood frozen like a statue.
“i should get going now before it gets too dark. thank you for inviting me over!” you spoke hurriedly as you quickly left to grab your shoes and leave, a part of your excuse was true, it was getting dark.
“you forgot this!” you froze in your spot where you stood just outside of the ua dorm building, what could you have possibly forgotten?
bakugou stood there, a small smile on his face as his whole body relaxed, he knew he could be himself around you. even if you were currently mad at him.
he held out your sweater.
“seriously? that’s what you have to say to me? keep the damn sweater.” you scoffed before quickly turning on your heels, walking away as he stood there holding the bundle of polyester in his hands.
the next time you’d hung out with the girls from ua, you had invited them over to your dorm for a change, although you didn’t have a common room, so you were all forced to huddle together in your room which thankfully was not small and had sufficient space.
the girls took a few minutes to glance at things, rummaging through your drawers to see what your style was, looking at the books you had, and it seemed as if they all stopped once they’d seen a photo frame hidden behind a few stacks of paper.
the most ill-tempered guy they knew was smiling, a genuine smile as he held up a peace sign with one arm around you, your expression mirroring his face.
they chose to ignore it, because to be fair, if you wanted them to know that you and bakugou were friends, you would’ve told them.
asui was a bit oblivious though, and rather blunt so when she spoke up, you tried to not take any offense.
“you know bakugou?” the rest of the girls looked at her, almost if they were trying to tell her to shut up.
“yes. we grew up together.” you smiled, although you weren’t really feeling like talking about how you don’t talk anymore.
“do you still talk?” and there was the winning question.
you sighed and explained to them what had happened between you both, opting to just tell them because the truth would come out soon anyway.
“and he hasn’t apologized??” momo was the first to start talking again.
“no. and i don’t know what to do because if i reach out now it’s basically telling him that it doesn’t matter what he does and that i’ll just automatically forgive him.”
mina was on her phone, simultaneously texting kirishima about what was happening as he did the same.
“okay wait, so if he had like wanted to apologize, would you listen?” mina got serious out of nowhere, stuffing her phone into her back pocket.
“i mean he tried to talk with me a week ago, but i couldn’t like do that yet, like emotionally.” they just nodded as you sat in silence for a bit.
“i think i’m ready to try and forgive him now. i hope i’m ready. i miss him.”
once they’d gone home and you’d gotten ready for bed, you laid down to begin your mindless scrolls through social media, not realizing the hour it was.
[2:42 AM]
[kats💥🫂] you awake?
[you] what
[kats💥🫂] i want to talk. like an actual conversation where we sit down and talk like adults.
normally you wouldn’t give him the time of day, but the boy was usually lights out by 8:30 pm everyday, so you decided to hear him out.
[you] okay. when?
[kats💥🫂] tomorrow? please. um we’re sort of training till 6 pm-ish. can you stop by the dorms?
[you] ok.

MHA headcanons bcuz the show brings me a lot of joy
If you don't agree with them or they clash with canon that's ok just scroll on, peace and love on the planet earth and whatnot.
⭐Iida is straight but is openly into BL. He's up to date on new releases, mostly pg shoujo stuff. Except for one fantasy comic that is hella explicit at some points but he is VERY passionate about the lore and characters.
⭐Bakugo has Inosuke levels of androgyny going on. He would give Shouto a run for his money in the "class 1-A's resident prettyboy" vote that was held if he 1. wasn't too scary for people to vote for him. and 2. if he stopped scowling for like two seconds.
⭐Aoyama is some flavor of nonbinary but doesn't use any labels because he HATES them. He is an ✨experience✨, a piece of art up for interpretation.
⭐Pro hero Red Riot has a line of menstrual hygiene products with cool and manly packaging because he's very popular with transmasc people and wanted to give back something helpful and validating to them.
⭐Kirishima once called Bakugo his "brofriend" and he just about had an aneurysm.
⭐ Before they got together, Kirishima wrote half the valentine's cards Bakugou recieved anonymously because he "just had so many feelings it couldn't fit just on one card!!"
⭐Bakugou is a secret romantic. He hates talking about it because it's "bad for his image" but he has a big collection of shoujo manga and internally melts whenever Kiri does something soft for him like buying flowers or holding his hand in public.
⭐Aizawa regularly gets intrusive thoughts of becoming a househusband whenever he has a particulaly annoying time. Like after his 7th parent teacher conference of the day or after a full week of falling asleep in uncomfortable beds in seedy hostels he stares at the ceiling like "Hizashi is a celebrity. He has three jobs. What am I doing here? I love him. I can't cook but I could learn 😫"
⭐Kaminari hits on Bakugo's mom every chance he gets. Bakugo's tries to blow him up, Mitsuki thinks it's fucking hilarious.
⭐Allmight has a crush on Midoriya Inko but is scared to do anything about it because A. it might upset Izuku and B. he thinks he's too old and ugly for her.
⭐You'd think Midnight would be a bad teacher based on her general sexy nature but actually she's well loved because she's the only teacher who the kids trust with advice on relationships and intimacy, especially after the dorm system set in. She has time set aside each week where she's available for anyone to pop into her office and chat about whatever they're worried about. Aizawa is endlessly thankful for this because one time Todoroki asked him what a backshot is because he heard Sero make a joke about it and he's still healing from that conversation.
⭐Since both of their quirks are food based Sato and Momo often bake together. Sato's the master decorator, Momo buys good quality ingredients and is a beast at chiffon cakes.
⭐Denki can't swim. After The Incident in primary school where he almost electrocuted a whole swimming pool of people he's been scared to try.
⭐Kirishima has two moms. His birth mom had him at like 18 and his biological father wasn't ready for that yet. Her best friend immediately stepped up to help with the baby, and that's Kiri's mama now.
Thank you for reading!! I am incredibly late to this fandom but hey I'm having fun now so. Sick.
If you liked this, you can find part 2 here :)

Ping Rescue || Closed RP
Gerald Herald has been enrolled at UA thanks to his great friend and leader, Ink who is a good friend of Midoriya and Bakugo informing them that Gerald needs some hero training to help with his strength and such. After passing the test and the physical exam, Gerald was assessed by Aizawa Sensei where he enrolled as an extra student in Class A-1. Right away, he was dogpiled by students of the A-1 asking questions and all that, making Gerald startled and surprised. Right away, Iida tells them to back away from Gerald as he needs space. Gerald thanks them and right away, he gets along with the class. But he's not the only student. Ping is also there as well. The two bonded as these two were the only ones who came from New York under the recommendation of Ink and Jinx. The first months were good as Gerald learns about how to be hero along with Ping. But then one day, someone broke into the campus and harassed some girls or rather tried to kidnap them. Ping got kidnapped. Gerald doesn't know the details as he looks really worried. There is announcement in regards to this in the class so Gerald is waiting for the news. "I hope Ping is alright..." Gerald said with a worried look. @the-silver-peahen-residence

I don’t see a lot of Tenya Iida love?? idk we need more of it. Here’s some fluff.
I 100% believe Iida wouldn’t realize someone had a crush on him. Oblivious boy.
It’s not that he looks down on himself, but he has other thing to worry about. Class rep, his brother, living up to his title, etc…
So when one day you magically confess? oh boy does it take him a minute.
You and Iida went to the same middle school. However, you don’t have a rich family. You got in on a scholarship and had a sarcastic attitude. You and him barely interacted back then, often with conversations ending in a sarcastic remark on your part and a scoff of disapproval from him.
Once you met again at U.A. You became closer realizing you had a lot of the same passions and interest. Eventually becoming really close, you hung out everyday with Izuku, Ochaco, and him.
Ochaco knew about your crush on him and decided to do what every antagonizing best friend does. “If you don’t tell him, I will.” oh, and she WOULD.
You decide to fake it until you make it. You can do it. It’s just a crush, right?
You feign confidence right up until the moment you and him are alone. “What did you need to see me about?” He asked, blissfully unaware.
Your heart is pounding, your stomach is cramping, your lungs are contracting.. “I really like you, Iida. I don’t just mean as a friend either! I mean it in a romantic sense… too…” you trail off increasingly more embarrassed. You feel yourself cringe.
he stays silent.
“…if you don’t say anything, ill do unforgivable things”
he blinks himself out of his trance. “I… wasn’t expecting this.”
you wince slightly at his statement. “yeah… me either” you laugh slightly trying to ease the tension.
“May I have time to think about this?” he asked oh so politely. like always, a little prince when he wants to be.
“Yea, of course. Just… don’t avoid me completely, okay?” you confirm with a sad smile. If this was the end of your newly found friendship with him then so be it. you’d just have to find someway to torture Ochako.
It was awkward at first. He would talk to you but only really when other people were around or to fulfill his class rep duties.
Then eventually you guys would talk like normal. It continued on like that for a while. So much so, you almost forgot about the whole confession.
He didn’t.
Poor boy was restless. Running through every scenario. What could have possibly made you feel this way towards him? Why? When?
they all flooded his mind.
He normally frowned upon high school relationships. He considered them distractors. Upon his self reflection, however. He realized he hadn’t ever really found himself in a situation to experience one.
Now every-time he ran into you, he couldn’t stop thinking about it. Eventually, you consumed his thoughts entirely. How was he supposed to live like this? He’d catch himself stealing glances at you whenever he could. Immediately scolding himself and then continuing to glance.
It became too much, he eventually found time to talk to you alone.
“So.. about us.” He spoke softly.
“So there’s an us?” you responded jokingly, trying to ease the tension. A trait of yours he found himself charmed by.
“I mean, about our relationship? You do understand what I am trying to say right?” He says struggling to find the words.
“Yes, go on.” you nodded, letting him say his piece.
“I don’t know how long you have felt this way about me… it’s been bothering me. Bothering me so much in fact, I find myself thinking of you all to often. In the most random of times. As if you take up a permanent residence in my thoughts. It’s irritating to say the least. However, because of this I have viewed you in a different light. I believe…” A breathe, to reassure himself.
“I feel the same way about you.” He concluded.
“oh” you said blankly.
“oh?” he asked anxiously. “what does that mean?”
“I.. I really thought you were going to let me down easy”
“did you want me to reject you?”
“Not at all”
“so then… will you let me be your boyfriend?”
“…”
“is this how you felt when i was silent?”
“yes”
“yes? yes you felt this way? or yes to me as your boyfriend?” he asked confused more and more.
“yes” you said with assertion and a smile.
your smile, he thought, was so gentle. he hadn’t seen this before. Actually, maybe he had. He just never looked hard enough. He understood what you meant, without you saying a word.
relief floods over him. “okay” he said calmly as his posture softened.
He was never going to glance at you again. Instead, he decided, when he looked at you, you would be his focal point.

hi! do you think you could do a iida x f!reader where they’re the daughter of sir nighteye, and when he eventually dies they go after chisaki for revenge but iida talks them out of it, and uses his experience with stain to convince them.
sorry if this is too specific, i just really like ur writing, especially the iida ones!
[ Hello dear anon. Apologies that this took longer than anticipated. I ended up having to split this into two parts. So no worries, the second part will be published as soon as I am able. But I hope you enjoy this. I like the aspect of Sir Nighteye having a daughter and her having to deal with his passing. ]
Tumblr media
He took EVERYTHING from you and left only an empty void where your heart once resided. It felt like a violent storm drowned you in a suffocating ocean of sadness after your father, Sir Nighteye, died. But this wasn’t as bad as the suffocating worry that your friends surrounded you with.
Since Toshinori had a personal history with your father, he tried to comfort you after this unfortunate event, but you chose to isolate yourself instead. Despite your father’s passing, you knew he would be disappointed that you distanced yourself from everyone, including the man he idolized.
If you got around to cleaning the countless All Might items, he had accumulated over the years, it would be a nightmare. It was bad enough that you had to attend and deliver a eulogy at his funeral. During your speech, you choked on your words and sobbed in front of everyone until Tenya, your closest friend, politely ended it.
After that, he guided you to a private location where you cried into his chest for what seemed like hours. It’s hard to recall if you thanked him for that, but the whole event was a blur. With time, the tragic feeling of sadness gradually changed into anger as you got used to living without your father.
Wait…no that’s not quite right. Anger wasn’t the right word to describe it. The bloodthirsty need for vengeance was more accurate. Yup. You may ask, against whom? Overhaul, otherwise known as Kai Chisaki, caused your father’s demise.
And in your vengeful mindset, you laid out a plan that would, hopefully, confront him and avenge your father’s death. Once you did, you believed it would honor his memory because it would rewrite how he died in vain.
It was evident that your dark cloud of thought followed you to school the following morning, since your classmates’ raised eyebrows, and looked shocked, or just plain concerned when they saw you or passed you in the hallway.
“Ribbit, I know Y/n is still upset over what happened. But she hasn’t talked to anyone about it since,” Tsuyu said, and Eijirou nodded. “Yeah,” he replied, crossing his arms. “I’m worried about her. She’s giving off an aura scarier than Bakugou right now,” the angry blond growled.
“What the hell did you just say!?” He demanded, rising from his seat before grabbing Eijirou by the front of his uniform. Tsuyu ignored them, while Tenya tried to get their attention. “I insist you refrain from engaging in physical aggravation during class hours!” He snapped, chopping his hand through the air.
“Class hasn’t even started yet, damn four-eyes!” Katsuki snapped in response, making Tenya sigh. He believed that Katsuki was certainly rude, and it was unlikely that he’d ever gain the patience to practice proper social manners.
He pinched the bridge of his nose, trying to calm his frustration when Tsuyu spoke again. “Maybe you should talk to her Iida,” she suggested. “You’re her closest friend, right?” Her question was followed by a look of curiosity, and he returned that curious expression while clasping his chin, contemplating.
“I suppose that is correct,” he replied before looking your way. You were slumped over at your desk with your arms resting against its surface. “I am afraid that while I have been attempting to provide comfort for Y/n over the weeks since the death of her father, I have been rather unsuccessful.” He hated admitting that.
“I assumed that she required space and time so as to not further aggravate her emotional state,” he explained before taking a deep breath. “But perhaps a direct approach is needed,” he looked at Tsuyu and walked past Katsuki and Eijirou who paused and observed where he was heading.
“He’s going to talk to Y/n?” Eijirou asked, looking at Tsuyu and Katsuki huffed before dropping his hands to his sides. “Just what the hell does four-eyes think he’ll accomplish by doing that?” he questioned, crossing his arms as he continued to watch.
As Tenya approached, he noticed you mumbling to yourself. Your words, however, were indistinguishable. He stood there for a moment, curious if you noticed him. However, you seemed rather oblivious, so he cleared his throat, hoping to catch your attention.
This didn’t work. “Very well,” he stated, “pardon my reach.” He laid his hand on your shoulder and proceeded to shake you. “Hm?!” Your eyes widened, and your muttering stopped. You clenched your jaw, and turned your head, prepared to snap at whoever was disturbing your not murderous and vengeful thoughts about Chisaki.
However, you latched onto your lip when you saw who it was. “Oh,” a small wave of panic washed over you. Had he heard what you were muttering? If that was the case, you needed to play it cool or dumb. However, it wasn’t easy to fool Tenya, especially since his incident with Mei at the Sports Festival.
You glanced away while rubbing your neck. Here goes nothing. “Oh hey, Iida,” you replied, ignoring how your stomach churned and twisted into knots. As a hero student, you hated feeling nervous, although, given the negative emotions you had been experiencing lately, this feeling was more than welcome.
You frowned and focused on Tenya again. It was scary, in a way, to think that he probably knew more about how you felt than anyone else. Yes, you pushed everyone who attempted to comfort you away and although your actions were justified due to the recent tragedy that occurred, Tenya was persistent.
It was a wonder what he’d think if you told him that the tiny voice of reason in your head seemed to vanish whenever your thoughts switched to Chisaki, and hatred engulfed your heart. He narrowed his eyes, gazing at you with concern.
“Are you…well?” He asked. “Well?” You repeated, your eyes glossing over and your gaze turning toward the front of the classroom. “Yes…I am well,” you replied, but your voice lacked emotion, and that alarmed him even more.
He had been rather concerned about your well-being and state of mind after your father’s death. When Tensei was greatly injured, he experienced such emotional turmoil that he almost lost his sense of heroism and logic.
He would hate to see you go down the same path, even though you claimed to be fine. Yet, when you turned to look at him, he noticed something in your eyes, and it made his stomach turn. He swallowed heavily but decided to address it later.
“I see,” he took a step back and pressed a hand against his chest. “Are you…certain you are feeling well?” He questioned, his eyes narrowing with suspicion. He did not want to believe that you would lie to him. However, he also knew there was a chance that you didn’t even know how you were feeling now.
Emotions were quite hard to explain at times and traumatic events tended to cause one to feel “numb” and as such, a lack of emotion followed, and made it difficult for one to truly grasp just how they felt. He supposed you were also going through the various stages of grief, which too was understandable.
Your whole life changed overnight, and yet the world continued to turn. Forcing you to abide by its rules when all you desired was a break, a mere moment to recollect yourself. Yet, this did not happen. He knew how frustrating that was.
Perhaps that is why his words were of no use to you now and he was better suited to continue to play the role of support. That was quite efficient in most cases because it allowed the individual the space they so required while at the same time, knowing that there was someone there to reach out to when needed.
“Yes,” you replied. Once again, your voice was barely audible. It was almost as though someone was pulling a string and speaking for you. A single recorded phrase that meant nothing and although he did not like it, he had to accept it. At least for the moment.
He nodded. “Very well, I am certain you already know that I will always be present if you require any assistance or perhaps…someone to lend an ear and discuss the ailments you are experiencing,” he stated, chopping his hand rhythmically through the air.
“Yes,” you replied, staring blankly at the front of the classroom again. He curled his lips and shook his head in uncertainty. Nevertheless, he turned around and walked back to Tsuyu and Eijirou, who were now joined by Shoto and Izuku.
“H-hey Iida,” Izuku greeted cheerfully. “Hello,” he replied, grasping his chin, and tapping it with his finger. Tenya ignored how they exchanged glances and the silence that filled the air was broken when Eijirou snapped, “Well!?” Izuku was startled by his outburst while Shoto raised his eyebrow.
Tenya glanced at him. “What happened with Y/n!? Is she okay?!” He urged, and Shoto turned to Izuku. “Y/n?” he questioned, and Izuku shrugged, uncertain of the conversation taking place. Tsuyu walked over and laid her hand on Eijirou’s back, making him recoil before looking at her from over his shoulder.
“Oh heh, sorry,” he replied. He got emotional and sometimes let it go to his head. “We’re all concerned about Y/n,” she explained, glancing at Izuku and Shoto. “It’s going to be a while before she’s okay again. I know she must miss Sir Nighteye.” All of them did.
“Ribbit, but I’ve noticed something off-putting about Y/n lately too,” something that wasn’t sadness nor anger, but an entirely different emotion she couldn’t quite put her finger on. “Hm,” she tapped her lips before looking at Tenya.
“Actually…” she said. Maybe she could describe the emotion she saw in you after all. “The way she’s acting reminds me of Iida,” she commented. “Pardon?” Tenya replied, perhaps the most confused among his friends. “Don’t you remember, Iida?” she asked. “After your brother was injured,” she clarified.
Izuku frowned. “Y-yeah, I remember that T-Todoroki-kun and I w-went after you,” or rather it was a matter of lucky circumstance that they happened to be in the same area as Tenya at the time. “We…defeated The H-Hero Killer together…” he continued, “and a-after…Iida admitted that…” His hands curled into fists.
He had a hard time remembering the emotional impact of that day. Shoto, noticing his friend’s distressed state, placed a hand on his shoulder. He wasn’t much for physical affection, but since making friends at Yuuei, he learned how to provide comfort.
Izuku turned to him, but Shoto’s eyes shifted to Tenya. “Iida went after Stain like a fool,” he said, never one to sugarcoat anything. Although he seemed unaware of the awkward tension he had created. “You let your anger cloud your judgment…I let it cloud my judgment too,” he admitted.
Thinking back to how he used to be, so angry and closed off to the world. He was truly thankful to his friends for helping him escape his shell. Eijirou’s jaw dropped, and his eyes widened as if he had seen the most horrific sight. “Wait…” He paused, making sure he understood everything.
“Are you suggesting that Y/n might…” he shuttered to think about it, but nobody expected someone as rational as Tenya to do what he did either. All eyes turned to him, and quite frankly, he was at a loss for words. “Well, I…” he straightened his posture and pushed his glasses up, looking in your direction perplexed.
“I am not certain…” although given your insistence that you were fine, you may still be in denial about what happened or hiding your true emotions just as he did. “Talking to her hadn’t helped provide you with a clue?” Shoto asked, now making everyone look at him.
Eijirou chuckled and laid his hand on Shoto’s shoulder. This made him tremble in response and look at the redhead as if he insulted his ancestry. “I think you’re being too blunt,” he stated, making Shoto knit his eyebrows. “Blunt?” He repeated but Tsuyu spoke up. “Todoroki-kun makes a good point,” she said.
“Then again, nobody knew what Iida wanted to do until it was too late,” she tapped her chin a few times, letting her eyes linger on you. “Maybe we need to observe her,” she suggested, making Eijirou raise his eyebrow. “Observe her? What do you mean, like keep an eye on her?” she nodded.
“What do you think Iida?” She asked, noticing he was frowning. “I am not certain that is the best strategy as it may invade the barriers of privacy,” he stated, chopping his hand lightly through the air. “However, perhaps that is the only option we have left…” he concluded.
“S-so how can w-we do it?” Izuku peeped up. Eijirou grinned. “Yeah! We have to be stealthy, right?” He asked, turning to Shoto who wore a blank expression as he thought. “I don’t think we need to spy,” he said a minute later. “Just keep an eye on her like Tsuyu suggested,” he noted.
“It doesn’t mean we need to watch her all the time. We just need to make sure she doesn’t hurt herself or wander somewhere alone,” he clarified. “Oh, okay,” Eijirou said. “So, give her space but talk to her when we think she’s doing something suspicious?” In a way, it still seemed dishonest.
“Perhaps that is best,” Tenya said, but in the back of his mind he couldn’t help but wonder if, like him, there was a chance you’d wander off when you suspected no one was watching you. Regardless, it was his job along with your mutual friends to prevent you from walking down a dark path from which there was no return.
“All right, everyone in your seats,” Shota stated as he walked through the door. “Yes sir!” Tenya immediately said, scrambling to get to his seat just as his friends did. While he normally paid attention in class, he found his gaze drifting to you.
You looked intensely focused on your thoughts instead of the lesson Mr. Aizawa was currently teaching. He might be pleased to know he was right. Within your mind, you devised several plans to confront Chisaki. These were the ideas you scribbled down in your notebook.
You assumed that nobody would look at it especially given your unique situation. Yuuei insisted you have sessions with the lifestyle guidance counselor, Ryo Inui also known as the Hunting Dog Hero: Hound Dog. Usually, these sessions are one hour long on selected days of the week. Today was one of those days.
As to not disturb your afternoon hero training too much, the sessions took place during lunch. Ryo usually kept quiet, to your surprise, during the first 25 minutes of the session to give you time to eat. The remaining time was used to talk about how you were feeling, and how you were dealing with the loss of your father.
But you told him what you told everyone else: that you were fine. Of course, he didn’t buy that. “One day you’ll have to face how you feel!” He growled at you. Oh, if only he knew what you were about to do. “If you can’t handle that, come to us!” You hated it when he gave this speech, even if he had a valid point to make.
“You rely on us heroes to protect you even from yourselves!” You knew he meant well but letting someone else handle your demons just seemed wrong. Although that could be your stubborn and determined attitude speaking. Your father taught you how to be cold and calculated in a sense, and to do nothing short of your best.
Yet maybe that played into your naive plan regarding what you wished to do to Chisaki. Nevertheless, the session ended without you learning or improving. Your rushed footsteps echoed down the hallway as you exited your classroom and headed to Gym Gamma.
You had some regret not taking your hero costume with you to your session with Ryo, but it didn’t matter now. You carried it with one hand while your other was wrapped around the strap of your backpack which hung off your shoulder. As you turned the hallway corner, you stumbled back and fell to the floor with a thud.
The suitcase containing your hero costume flew and bounced on the floor a few times. It then hit the opposite wall near an empty classroom. Your backpack contents spilled out, littering the floor. You sat up, hissing softly.
“Ouch…” you muttered before someone stepped in front of you. “Apologies,” when you looked up, Tenya stared back at you. He was dressed in his hero suit, apart from the helmet that normally concealed his face.
“Hm?” When he realized he had run into you, he leaned onto one knee and glanced at you from head to toe. “Are you injured? Forgive me, I was not anticipating someone coming around the corner at the accelerated speed you were going,” he explained.
“Yeah well…” You glanced away, irritated. “I’m not injured…” you muttered. “Then may I assist you in gathering your things?” He asked, referring to the contents of your backpack. You sighed and slowly sat on your knees.
“Yeah, I guess,” you replied, picking up the first few items within reach. Tenya walked around and picked up one of the textbooks. He handed it to you before grabbing the notebook you were writing in earlier that morning.
After placing the textbook in your backpack, you grabbed said notebook. However, it slipped between your fingers when Tenya handed it to you and landed on the floor again. Your vengeful ideas were scribbled across its pages and were now laid open for the world to see.
You cursed yourself for hesitating because that allowed Tenya to pick up the notebook and curiously look at what you had written down. Your heart pounded and you could only helplessly watch his eyebrows knit together.
“Pardon but-” You jumped to your feet and snatched it from him. He looked shocked by your behavior. “W-what are you even doing here!?” You demanded, clenching the notebook to your chest, and glaring at him. He blinked a few times, and you noticed a suspicious look in his eye.
“I…was merely assisting an injured classmate to Recovery Girl,” he replied. You huffed “Good for you,” in response before frantically picking up the rest of your things. You shoved them into your backpack and grabbed the metal suitcase containing your hero suit.
“Y/n?” Tenya asked, watching the spectacle with serious concern. However, he remained silent as you raced down the hallway. This was despite his urge to exclaim that running in hallways was prohibited. Little did he know your cheeks burned red.
‘Stupid, stupid, stupid!’ Out of all the things he could have seen. Well, maybe you could just…make some excuse if he asked about them. Something along the lines of getting your emotions out on paper. Yeah, that sounded fine. Writing was a form of coping, right?
Although you weren’t certain how much of that Tenya would buy, the way he looked at you the rest of the day only indicated that his suspicions were high. You tried to ignore it to the best of your ability and avoided him when you could.
You knew that might come back to bite you, but you didn’t care because there were more important things to do. Like conducting research regarding Chisaki’s whereabouts. Luckily, it was easy to fool Principal Nezu and the rest of your teachers.
Simply, you told them that you needed time for yourself and felt overwhelmed by your emotions. You couldn’t be disturbed while doing research. Although you felt some remorse for using your father’s death as an excuse to do your vengeful research, it would be worth it.
They granted you a week off without consequence. The only condition was that you had to stay within Yuuei student housing grounds and continue your regularly scheduled sessions with Hound Dog. A small price to pay, not that you were going anywhere, not yet at least.
Although the student dorm was a bit eerie during the day because of the dead silence with the occasional creaks and cracks of the building settling, you tried not to let this disturb you as you started your week-long research. Of course, your friends were concerned when they noticed you were absent from class.
In addition, you rarely left your room during the evening. However, none were more concerned than Tenya. Frankly, he couldn’t help but think back to the strange writing you had in your notebook. It wasn’t that hard to figure out that those writings and your current behavior were connected.
“A-are you sure about this I-Iida?” Izuku asked. “Yeah, I mean she could just be trying to express herself. Nothing’s more manly than taking control of your emotions!” Eijirou declared with a smile while Tsuyu thought quietly.
“I’m most certain the writing within her notebook was not merely a method to cope with her emotions,” he replied sternly. “Are you sure?” Eijirou asked before Tsuyu spoke up. “Ribbit, well if Iida is right then Y/n needs our help,” she concluded.
“Well, if there’s something wrong and she’s going to go through with what she wrote, I agree,” Eijirou said. Izuku clenched his jaw, his features twisted with uncertainty. “B-but we…we can’t just f-force help onto h-her…” he stated before glancing away, trying to devise a reasonable solution in his head.
“W-what if they try to…l-leave? They haven’t even b-been in class lately a-and…” he frowned. He hated thinking you would do something sneaky like him, Shoto, Tenya, Eijirou, and Momo had when The League kidnapped Katsuki.
Leaving in the middle of the night without telling anyone and running around the city in disguises wasn’t the nicest or smartest thing they could have done. Not to mention how they neglected Tsuyu’s feelings on the matter. However, at least they patched things up and Eijirou and her were closer than ever.
All eyes seemed to linger on the ground. More than likely, they were all thinking the same thing Izuku was. “Maybe…we can ask Yaoyorozu for help?” Tsuyu suggested, naturally catching everyone’s attention. “May I ask you to elaborate on your suggestion?” Tenya replied, and Eijirou nodded.
“Yeah, why ask Yaoyorozu for help?” he asked. “I’m sure she can figure out a way to keep track of Y/n without us interfering,” she explained. “Huh…” Eijirou thought about her words, glancing at Izuku who seemed concerned about the idea of asking Momo for help while Tenya sighed.
“Perhaps it would be beneficial to use alternative methods to ensure we don’t worsen Y/n’s already fragile condition,” he said before looking at Tsuyu. “Do you believe Momo could provide such a solution?” Tsuyu smiled, the tip of her tongue sticking out from between her lips.
She nodded in response to Tenya’s question and with some hesitance, the four of them sought her out. “I’m honored that you’d ask for my help,” Yaoyorozu said, placing a hand on her chest. “But I don’t know what I can do,” she said, tapping her lips a few times.
“Y/n is entitled to a little privacy and time alone to sort out her feelings. I can’t imagine what she’s going through,” she said with a frown. “That’s exactly why we need your help!” Eijirou exclaimed, curling his hands into fists.
Yaoyorozu looked at him, her eyebrow raised. “Come on, there must be something you can do,” he said while Tsuyu laid a comforting hand on his back. “Iida is mostly concerned about what he found in Y/n’s notebook,” she explained. “Her notebook?” She asked, looking at Tenya perplexed.
“I’m not certain if the writings found in her notebook were a coping mechanism that assisted her in organizing her complex array of emotions or perhaps…plans she wishes to enact,” he explained. Silence lingered in the air shortly after. Eijirou looked at Izuku before walking toward Yaoyorozu.
“Whatever it is, Iida is right to be concerned. We all are!” He stated, determination shining in his eyes before grabbing Yaoyorozu’s hands. She looked shocked by this action, almost as if it were foreign. He leaned forward, locking eyes with her.
“He’s doing the right thing by bringing this to our attention. Even if Y/n doesn’t want our help, we need to prevent her from making a big mistake,” he said, tightening his grip on her hands. “So please,” he brought her hands against his chest where his heart pounded erratically.
“Will you help us?” He asked. “Mm…” she glanced away, thinking for a moment. “Alright,” she said, standing up. “I think I have a solution,” extending her arm, it glowed a faint blue hue before several oval-shaped devices fell onto the floor, each one clinking as they piled on top of one another.
“Huh?” Eijirou looked at the devices, clearly confused about what they were while Tenya picked one up, examining it closely. “These are motion devices,” Yaoyorozu explained before a larger, more rectangular device manifested from her arm. She quickly grasped it before it hit the floor.
“Here,” she said, holding it out to Tenya. He looked perplexed but took it, nonetheless. She smiled proudly and placed a hand on her hip. “That will alert you when the motion sensors are set off, but it may be impossible to tell what sets them off,” she explained.
“Still, I know it will help with your request,” Tenya enclosed his hand around the device. “Thank you very much for your assistance. I am most certain this will help indeed,” he replied, smiling at Yaoyorozu. She returned it and looked at Eijirou, Tsuyu, and Izuku.
“I believe we should find appropriate locations for these motion devices,” Tenya said, kneeling to gather them in his hand. “R-right!” Izuku replied, helping him pick them up while Eijirou laid his hand on Yaoyorozu’s shoulder.
“Yeah, thanks! We owe you one!” He grinned like a madman showing off his pointy-shark-like teeth and while that may unsettle some, she nodded. “Glad I could help,” she said, “especially if Y/n needs it.” A frown came to her face. “I hope they’re alright.” It was evident she was just as worried as everyone else.
Following this, Tenya carefully considered the proper locations for the motion devices. He believed the most beneficial locations were the front steps of the Class A dormitory, the entrance to the nearby forest, and along the road to Yuuei High. Yes, these particular spots would also be triggered throughout the day.
However, there was more likelihood that, if by chance you would leave, you’d do it at night. The days following were some of Tenya’s most emotionally heightened. He was constantly on edge, waiting for something to happen.
When night came, he always woke up to the sound of the motion devices going off. However, every time he hurried outside, he found that something else triggered it. Like an animal curiously passing by in the dead of night.
While his friends lost hope or doubted that the writings Tenya described in your notebook were malicious, something told him that was not the case. Perhaps one could call it intuition, but he could not accept that those writings were merely emotional expressions.
He believed they were motives. Plans you wished to take into action, and he would not rest until he caught you in the act or prevented you from doing it. So, he continued to wait, and the following night, he was jolted out of his sleep when the device went off as it had done many times before.
He hitched his breath, immediately grabbing his glasses. Despite being in his sleepwear, he slipped on a light jacket, put on his jogging shoes, and left his sleeping cap on his bed. The last thing he grabbed was the device that had jolted him awake and went to your room.
He noticed that your door was left ajar. “Mm…” Despite respecting the inner sanctum of another’s living space, he placed his hand on the doorframe and peered into your room. Even with the lights shut off, he noticed that your bed was undone, and you were nowhere to be found.
He also noticed that the dresser drawers were open, almost as if you rushed to gather clothing before disappearing. His grip tightened on the doorframe, his nails digging into it briefly before he ran down the hallway. He knew his frantic steps might alert his classmates and wake them from their sleep.
However, he did not care, there was a more pressing matter at hand. This was, of course, finding you and possibly stopping whatever horrific act you wished to commit. He had to find you before it was too late. He had to save you.
He pushed past the front door of the student dorm and hurried down the stairs as the cool night air evaporated his breath. He looked back and forth along the road that surrounded the student campus, and his heart sank when he realized you were nowhere in sight.
Silence fell over him, accompanied by the cries of owls and the chirping of insects in the distance. Then he extended one leg out in front of him, bending it at the knee and extending the opposite leg behind him. His calves shifted and six small engines appeared that sparked to life with a loud rumble.
A deafening silence fell over the world around him as his eyes focused forward. He was about to take off to search the surrounding areas where he had placed the motion devices as he had done countless times before. The only difference was that he was certain you had left the premises this time.
While it could have been easy enough to assume you had merely woken up in the middle of the night to have a snack or use the restroom, it appeared you had taken provisions. This was enough to convince him you were out here.
His engines backfired temporarily when a hand grabbed his shoulder, surprising him and breaking his concentration. “Wow, heh, sorry Iida,” Eijirou said, flashing him a smile. “We were wondering if you’d be out here,” Tsuyu chimed in, coming to stand next to Eijirou. Tenya knit his eyebrows.
“Well, heh,” Eijirou rubbed the back of his head, “you kind of woke everyone up with your rushed footsteps…and Izuku wanted to know what happened,” he explained, nervously. Tsuyu nodded. “When he noticed you weren’t in your room, he searched the dorm, ribbit.”
She then shrugged. “I figured you’d gone after Y/n or something else that triggered the motion sensors,” she explained, pressing one finger to her chin. “Yeah, but we didn’t want you to search alone anymore or go after Y/n by yourself, considering how determined you can get sometimes,” Eijirou said before looking around.
“I was just preparing to track her down,” Tenya explained, almost sounding irritated that he had been interrupted despite knowing his friends meant well. “We’ll help then!” He declared and ignored Tenya’s raised eyebrow.
“I am not certain that is the most beneficial-” Eijirou grabbed onto his shoulders, shaking him. “Which way do you want us to go?!” He asked frantically, and yet again Tenya looked at him with a raised eyebrow before a sigh passed his lips. He felt annoyed but knew that, perhaps, the more help he got the better.
Then again, this was a delicate situation and if more than one person approached you, there was a chance you’d become hostile. That is why he needed to ensure that he found you first. But regardless, he nodded. “Very well,” he said, clasping his chin in thought.
“Perhaps Tsuyu can provide assistance in searching behind the campus. I will search the area up ahead,” he stated, motioning with his hand. “Right, I’ll go this way!” Eijirou exclaimed before running in the opposite direction. In Tenya’s mind, he wondered if they’d get in trouble.
The teachers keep a close eye on the student housing, but surely, they’d understand this situation if Tenya explained it to them. “Good luck on your search Iida,” Tsuyu said before hopping off the ground at a great distance. He watched her soar through the air and turned to see Eijirou looking back and forth a long way down the path.
He trusted that they would do the right thing if they happened upon you but now wasn’t the time to sit and contemplate that. Once again, he got into position, and without delay he was gone in a flash, leaving nothing but lingering gray smoke behind.
The world blurred around him as he sped by, yet it all seemed to be happening in slow motion. The piercing wind against his body felt like a thousand tiny cuts across his exposed flesh, but he didn’t care. Like a true hero, the only thing he focused on in this moment was you.
Near the wooded area, opposite the student dormitory, he slowed his pace and leaned over. Placing his hands on his knees, he panted softly and wiped the sweat from his face. His chest felt heavy, and perhaps that was the weight of responsibility he felt.
He needed to find you, but how? There were endless possibilities as to which direction and path you had taken. Even with his friends searching the area, what was the likelihood that they’d find you before the sun rose? His soft panting continued, and the cool air around him made his moistened skin sting.
The feeling of doubt was beginning to linger in the back of his mind when he felt something vibrate in his pocket. “Hm,” he paused and leaned up before pulling out the device. He looked at it perplexed as it continued to vibrate in his hand.
He pondered for a moment if this was merely another false alarm and that an animal had triggered one of the many motion sensors that were scattered about the area. However, as he lifted his head and glanced into the distance, he noted the trees that made up the nearby forest.
He couldn’t recall at this moment if he had placed a motion sensor in the location he was currently in, but perhaps this was a sign. He swallowed thickly and placed the device back into his pocket before his engines reeved again and he took off for the forest.
The ground underneath him seemed to change in density, its surface turning thicker and more slippery. Perhaps that was due to the mud that accumulated in the area, and he had to slow his pace the closer he got to the entrance of the forest to not slip and fall. He would despise being covered in mud.
Taking a deep breath, he ignored the pounding of his heart in his chest as he cautiously walked up to the first set of trees and noticed a small square device resting against the base of one of the said trees. When he got closer, the device in his pocket vibrated once more.
“Hm,” he clasped his chin and looked at the ground. Although it was dark, the moon allowed him just enough light to be able to make out footprints that led into the forest. “Mm,” he frowned and slowly kneeled to examine them closer.
It was impossible to tell if these were your footprints or perhaps someone else’s, but either way time was ticking away, and seconds were precious now. It was evident that there was a chance you had deviated from the path and instead, took refuge in the forest.
If that were true, then not only were you in danger of getting lost but potential animals could cause harm to you as well. Regardless, if there was a sliver of a chance that you had attempted to hide yourself in the greenery, he needed to take it.
With that in mind, he headed to the forest. He cautiously glanced around and despite the darkened sky looming above him, the small amount of light provided by the moon helped outline the trees and the path that nestled between them.

session
hi! another oc x iida…saur silly. I’m more than willing to make a part two to this, but I didn’t really think it was necessary 😨
anywho
Contains nsfw! but in a tame(ish) kind of way…grinding, finishing early, explorative touching, idk I just write what my brain is thinking atm 😼
she comes to Iida’s residence for a study session, and oh no! It started raining unexpectedly, and her clothes are soaked!! No worries nothing could happen…right?
enjoy!!
She began to run, using her bag to shield her from the rain—but it was useless. She ended up soaked. She lightly knocked on his door, he looked down on the sight displayed in front of him. “Can I come in?” She said with a shy smile. He was quick to step to the side to let her in.
“I’m so sorry! I didn’t know it was going to rain otherwise I would’ve never asked-” he started to ramble, for being such a plan ahead of the guy, he couldn’t have predicted the unexpected rain. And he just felt immense guilt. She cut him off.
“It’s fine Iida!” She laughed a bit, “I'm pretty sure it was someone’s quirk that caused the sudden downpour, it did happen rather sudden…” she reassured, “I’m sorry for getting your floor wet…” she apologized, he shook his head.
“N-no it’s fine!” He scanned her form, only to realize she was completely soaked, her shirt basically see through, he tried his best to look away. “I, um, how about I lend you my clothes…” he offered with a flushed face. She gave a small smile,
“A shirt will be fine, if that’s okay. I have shorts under that didn’t get drenched…” she laughed off. Pulling on her shirt to pull it away from sticking to her body. He gave a small nod and rushed to his room, searching through his closet for a shirt that wasn’t a button up, but to no avail. I should invest in regular t-shirts every once in a while…
He grabbed one of his pajama shirts, it was the most comfortable out of them all. Bringing it down for her, along with a towel. She took it from him with a smile and a small thank you.
“You could use the bathroom on the left, when you are ready I’ll be waiting for you…” he muttered with a blush, she gave a nod soon after taking the articles to the bathroom. As soon as she went in, he let out a breath he didn’t know he was holding. It took everything in his power to not look at her shirt, but he noticed. He noticed the white lace bra she had on, the way her shirt was sticking onto her body, where he could see her figure (a/n:ik it’s not mean to put rolls, but isn’t there a nicer way to put rolls?) her waist, her love handles, her belly button. He groaned into his hand out of frustration. This was bad. He scanned around his house, counting the number of light bulbs to calm himself down.
Upon entering the bathroom she looked at herself in the mirror with a small huff, washing her face to try to rid the rain smell. Unbuttoning her shirt and folding it neatly along with her skirt, patting herself dry with a towel, it’s when she noticed her brassiere was also soaked from the rain. The last thing he wanted was to get one of Iida’s shirts dirty with rain. She proceeded to take it off and set aside with the rest of her clothes. She began to put on his shirt, slightly laughing at the fact even in sleep he still insisted on wearing a button up. She knew in her heart that the button up would be a tight fit around her abdomen, prompting her to only button up the top part, leaving the bottom half undone. Exposing her stomach, and her rather short shorts. She exited the bathroom with a flushed face, trying her best to hold the shirt close. It was long on her, and the arms were big around hers, but the one problem was her waist was significantly wider than his. Which made her embarrassed. He finally got down counting, only to be greeted again with another predicament. His face turned immensely red, averting his gaze.
“I-I’m sorry, I can go see if I have a T-shirt or-” he stumbles with his words, she shook her head, already feeling embarrassed as it already didn’t fit her.
“N-no! Please don’t…I cannot ask you for anything more…” she muttered out, her throat feeling tight like she wanted to cry. He noticed. He cleared his throat. What could he say? Everything he thought of was inappropriate to say, but his words left faster than his brain could form a coherent response.
“I think you look beautiful.” He stammered out, god, could his face turn any redder. She blushed, letting her guard down a bit. He couldn’t help but stare at her exposed stomach, he loved it. It looked so plush and soft, he wanted to kiss it and touch it. But he kept that to himself.
“We should probably get to studying…” she muttered a bit, which snapped him out of his daydream.
“Ye-yes! Of course. Follow me” he stuttered a bit. He began to go up the stairs, showing her to his study room, which was just mainly his room, but a huge part of it dedicated to his studies. She continued to hold the shirt shut as much as she could. Quick to take a seat at the low table. Now covering her lower half. She dug in her bag grabbing her work. He took a seat across from her. Watching her as she tucked a strand of stray hair behind her ear as she looked through her notes. She looked up at him, he was quick to look away.
“Okay, I was stuck on problem….” she started to explain her dilemma with the problem. He half listened. Thinking about anything else but school, just her. When she finished he paid attention enough to understand her question.
“Yes, so here we would have to focus on the structural….” he began to explain as he leaned over to show her in the book about the topic, and ultimately help her with the concern. She passed the paper to him, soon leaning over as well to show him exactly what she got and to confirm whether it was correct or not. But she didn’t realize the first button became undone, revealing part of her cleavage, and that’s when he realized she was completely bare underneath his shirt, in his room, where it was just them. He gulped as his ears heated up, and was quick to confirm the solution was indeed correct. He began to shift uncomfortably, and she noticed.
“Is something wrong?” She said with a concerned voice. He cleared his throat.
“Yes, I’ve just…my legs have been aching from training as of recently, I am not able to sit in this position without feeling sore..” he admitted. She showed an empathetic frown
“I’m sorry, maybe I can help. I’ve been told I’m very good at massages, but my only credible source would be from my sister” she laughed out a bit. She crawled over to him, took a seat on her knees next to him. “May I?” Her tone is genuine. He knows there is no ill intention behind her offer, and she is genuinely being concerned for his well being. But it would feel wrong to accept, as it would be something he would enjoy but he would also hate to see her more embarrassed if he declined. So he accepted. He stretched out his legs, taking them out from under the table. She started at his calf over his pants, he winced a bit. He didn’t realize how sore he was, her thumbs pressing against his flesh. Careful to not touch his engines. Slowly making way up to his knee. He let out a satisfied groan. “How does this feel?” She said softly, as her eyes focused on where she was pressing.
“It feels amazing, thank you so much Yoshioka” he said with a pleased sigh. She hummed with a smile, her small hands soon making way up to his thigh, he tensed up. Letting out a pained exhale, but as she continued it began to feel less tense. He let out another satisfied groan, looking down at what she was doing. But he couldn’t help but feel the hint of eroticism to it. He now realized how close she was to him, and how little clothes she was wearing—and where her hands were. Her hands moving to his other thigh to continue, accidentally going too far into his inner thigh— he let out a grunt.
“I’m sorry! Did I hurt you?” Her voice concerned once again. He began to stutter as he realized a problem arose
“No!…no. Um…could you give me a moment.” He stammered out, as he began to get up
“Yeah, sure” scared she did something wrong
as soon as he turned his back to her—he began to pull at his pants to adjust his newfound problem. Fuck fuck fuck! How can I hide this, what do I do…!?
She watched him as he entered his bathroom, oblivious to the effect she had on him. He was in a moral dilemma, if he took care of the problem it would be perverted, if he left it—it would surely go down in time right? No…not with her in the room wearing his clothes and exposing so much skin. He settled for the latter with a few tweaks, adjusting his length into his waistband. He exited the bathroom.
“I apologize, you did nothing wrong, I just…” he didn’t think his explanation through, he thought for a moment longer. She watched him, she knew it was an excuse. She began to feel embarrassed as she gained second hand embarrassment from what she did earlier.
“You don’t have to explain, I understand.” She began to stand up, “I apologize, I overstepped your boundary.” She said with a slight quiver in her voice. He began to shake his head, holding his hands up.
“No no! I just…” he let out a heavy sigh. He had to admit it. The last thing he wanted to do was doubt herself. “I found myself physically aroused from the mere sight of you, as well from you touching me” his face red as he averted eye contact. She blushed.
“O-oh! I’m sorry, I didn’t know…” it took a moment to take in his words, “wait, I aroused you?” She said surprised
“Yes.” He stated.
“You find me…sexually attractive?”
“Yes, very much.”
“Oh…Oh.”
There was a pause, it scared him.
“I-I understand if you want to leave, and I am very sorry for the uncomfortable situation I have created, and what position I have put you in”
“No, I am…I’m rather happy,” she admitted.
“You are?” Iida said with a shocked tone
“Iida, I like you, I just thought you were just being kind because you are just a respectful person—I didn’t think you could like someone like me”
“Yoshioka, I like you a lot, and what you are wearing makes it difficult to continue my usual strict and composed nature.”
“I’m sorry” she said softly
There was a pause again.
“Yoshioka, Can I confess something…it’s rather personal” a distance was kept from each other, she gave a nod for him to continue. “I really want to kiss you.” His words sincere, yet holding such a stern tone to it. It felt almost aggressive.
“What’s stopping you now?” She breathed.
He slowly began to make way to her, his hand pressing against her stomach, moving inward to grab onto her waist. Inching his lips closer finally pressing his lips against hers. She quickly melted in. It was her first kiss, as well as his. He parted to look at her.
“I have another confession…” he muttered out
“What is it…” she whispered
“I haven’t been able to tear my eyes off you, I’ve been wanting to get close to you, to feel my hands along your skin for the longest. I’ve been wanting to savor you, to indulge in all my desires every time I see you.”
She blushed, her hand began to undo the buttons, the shirt covering her breast, but exposing her sternum. She guided his hand to her chest. “Well…now is your chance,” she encouraged. His hands traced the hem on the shirt.
“I like how this looks on you…” he muttered, his hand moving again to tangle with her hair. Pressing another kiss on her lips. This one is more passionate, more experimental. Slowly he began to kiss her neck, moving to her shoulder, slowly peeling off the shirt, she couldn’t help but to let out a small whine, melting into his soft touches
“Oh…Tenya~” she softly moaned out, as he continued to press kisses on her neck. He never thought he would hear her moan out his name. He loved it. He yearned to hear it for the longest. It didn’t take long for it to become a makeout session, her back on the ground, him between her legs, pressing himself against her in a desperate need to feel her heat. His hips unconsciously bucking against her. He kept taking pauses to focus on his thrust against her, and she was too busy feeling immense pleasure to notice the lack of his lips on hers. He continued with grinding against her, his eyebrows furrowed in concentration as he grunted in pleasure. The only thing in the way between the two was fabric, but it wasn’t long till he started to feel himself get closer to his limit. He kept on—too focused on her voice, and the intensity of his own desire, but ultimately it led to what any first timer would fear the most.
He realized the most embarrassing thing ever that could happen to him, happened. He came. In his pants. He let out a low groan against her lips, as his pelvis rubbed harder against her, soon growing limp. He placed his forehead against her shoulder in shame. “Tenya?” she said breathlessly as came to a stop.
“I’m sorry. I finished…” he muttered. She furrowed her eyebrows in confusion,
“Finished?…wha-” she paused as she realized, “oh.” She smiled a little, patting his head. “It’s okay, if anything I find it endearing…” she said softly. As she began to move to sit up, covering herself in the process. He couldn’t help, but still feel shame. “If it makes you feel better, is there anything I can do?” She reassured, he shook his head—I mean technically there’s many things she could do that he would thoroughly enjoy but he is a respectable man, but he felt it slip through his fingers as she stared at him.
What is he to do…

Tumblr media
The steady hum of the air conditioner running at full speed filled the air and left your skin pleasantly chilled. Your room was dark, long curtains draped over your windows, and the soft plush of the mattress covers under you were steadily making your eyes more and more difficult to keep open.
You could have fallen asleep so easily, if it weren’t for the warm body currently pressed gently to your side.
Earlier, UA's resident pretty boy, Shoto Todoroki, had unexpectedly turned up at your room, head hanging almost sheepishly, and asking in his soft, world-peace-fostering voice if he could come in.
And although it wasn’t out of the ordinary to find him hanging around your room at the dorms, he was generally always accompanied by Midoriya, or Iida. Your cozy little room was somewhat of a designated rest area for your friend group with your extra pillows and blankets, and the fluffy pink beanbag that Uraraka often curled up on.
Which is why you peeked behind him uncertainly at the empty space in the hall, but let him in nonetheless.
When he had seated himself comfortably on your bed, you attempted to ask him if everything was ok, and the only answer you received was a simple nod.
He looked exhausted. While the young hero was not as volatile as one particular blonde classmate you have, you know he still struggles to express himself easily. You figured he would open up to you in his own time if he really wanted to. So you decided not to prod and plopped down on the bed next to him, doing your best to ignore the way your heart started to race against your will at the proximity.
As you messed around on your phone, over the course of an hour, you came to the sudden realization that the two of you had unconsciously gravitated towards each other. Soon, your legs were curled up to your chest, with one hand gripping your phone, and the other getting sore because of the deceivingly heavy head of silky half and half hair now resting, frankly, uncomfortably on your shoulder.
You would have believed he was asleep with how quiet and still he was being, but his fidgeting hands on the cotton of your oversized shirt proved that he was still awake.
Besides the coma inducing fact that his mindless fussing was making your top steadily reveal the skin of your stomach, even in your groggy state you could practically feel the current of thoughts plaguing Todoroki.
He radiated something anxious and tired at the same time, and you couldn’t help but steal glances at him to try and gauge what he was thinking.
Just when you figured that maybe you’ll never truly figure out the mystery that was Shoto Todoroki, his hands stilled, and he said something so softly you struggled to hear.
“...am I a bad person?”
Your eyebrows scrunched in confusion. Did you hear him correctly?
You tilted your head at him and hummed in question.
He sighed deeply and you watched as his lovely heterochromatic eyes turned dark and sad.
“I’m trying my best to be the hero I always wanted to be as a child, but sometimes I wonder if I actually deserve to be here. My family has been through so much trouble because of me. Mom is in the hospital because she always had to protect me from him, Touya left because I had to be better than he could be, Fuyumi and Natsuro, father always neglected them because of me. It’s my fault that we couldn’t be a normal family. My fault the we can’t be together. All the time, I see real families, happy families around me, that need protecting — and I can’t help but think, — do I really deserve to be the one protecting them? If I can’t even keep my own family safe, do I really deserve to call myself a hero? Hero’s are supposed to be good, — am I good?”
You listened in astonishment as he rattled of reasons why he was a shitty person. His speach trailed into mutters and slurred words that you could barely put together. He sounded like he was barely concious and you think that at this point, he was more talking to himself.
In his sleepy rant of self-deprivation you did catch one thing as he buried his head further into your shoulder.
“Am I a hero or the devil’s son? I can’t figure out what side I’m on.” He said, dead serious.
A sputtered laugh was the only response you could muster, why did he have to be so dramatic sometimes?
He narrowed his eyes in indignation at your laughter and looked up at you through his lashes. You grinned apolagetically. “Sorry Todoroki, I didn’t mean it like that.”
You shifted to face him better, “It’s just — none of that is your fault. You know that right? No, clearly you didn’t know that or we wouldn’t be here.” You said, and he pouted further.
“It doesn’t matter what your past was like, we’ve all done some bad things in our lives, and what happened to you was completely out of your control. Just because you made some mistakes, doesn’t make you any less of a capable hero than any of us. In fact, it makes you better, because you know what there is to lose.” You reassured him.
He looked at you carefully, “Oh, you really think so?” he asked you, so hopefully you swore you felt a part of you melt.
“Of course” you told him, he spared you a soft smile.
You smiled back and nudged him playfully, “Now if your done moping, could you get off my shoulder, — I lost feeling in it hours ago.”

Sometimes it takes a Teddy Bear and a Hero
TW: hints at insomnia and mental health
————————
There are just those nights when sleep doesn’t hit . . .
You’d been chasing after sleep all evening. That soft buzzing and rattling feeling that sunk into your limbs, your chest feeling like the whole thing had been dunked into a tub of warm water and was now draped across your rib cage. Naively you’d turned in early for the night, hoping that a little extra sleep would cure whatever it was that weighed down on you.
You’d tossed and turned, pushing your chest upright every half hour or so. A sporadic itching in your forearms and biceps as you’d push yourself upright hearing your own voices pipe up in their frantic spiraling and then plop back down onto the pillow as your weak arms gave out, only to fall into a slightly different position than before.
Luckily, you slept with a decent amount of pillows anyway. You had a whole little organized system; a regular pillow moved vertical to act like a makeshift body pillow, (which you generally found to be a good cure all for nights like these) And a teddy bear in which also got flung around in your rag doll awakenings, and always ended up within arm distance.
Except no matter how desperately you cling to teddy bear or pillow the pressure wasn’t enough to dissipate that lingering feeling in your chest.
you’d even tired sleeping with a pillow clutched over head in some kind of desperation for relief. At that point you couldn’t take it anymore.
Guided only by your phones flashlight and accompanied by the teddy bear you clutched to your chest you’d traversed the stairwell to make it up to the top floor where your boyfriends dorm room was.
Why were you using the stairwell rather than the perfectly functioning elevator in the 3-A dorm? Well the girls preferred the stairwell at night because the boys had informed you that Mineta was generally too lazy to take the stairs. Now the stairwell was still extremely creepy at night, but the chances of accidentally waking and running into the resident pervert was significantly lower if you stuck to it.
And it may or may not have been quieter than using the elevator with its little ding of arrival. Something that you did not want waking up the members of your very crowded floor 3.
Luckily you didn’t feel worried about getting ratted out by those that would wake like Koda, Asui, Jirou, or her boyfriend Kaminari. Bc you thought Iida’s engines were in his legs? Wait til you heard him snoring.
You anxiously rubbed your ankle with the back of your foot, biting your lip as your fingers splayed against the metal crossbar and gently pushed open the door which held the blinking number 4 above it.
Letting your phone guide the way you walked the very quiet hall floor 4. Walking with baited breathe until you made it past the other two boys rooms and to 4C, Katsuki Bakugou’s room.
And then you raised your hand and tapped a singular knuckle against the wood of the door. A quiet shuffling approaches from within until you heard the bright click which swung open to reveal an exhausted boyfriend on the other side.
And the big angry explosion murder god Dynamight ushered you in with a low and growling, “G’morning baby.”
Which made your toes curl against the carpet as you stepped in making your way over to sit on the edge of the bed. You’d always felt unexpectedly awkward when you showed up on a plea.
Katsuki followed you over, running a palm over his face. A dashingly gorgeous quirked smile pulling at the corner of his face, “-and friend.”
At that you intoned a quizative hmm. Before he gestured at the teddy still securely clutched in your grip.
“Ah- yea I tried using him to help me sleep like I normally do, but he didn’t do the trick tonight,” you rasped, eyes scanning over the familiar room in the amber glow of his lamp.
“I can see that,” Katsuki gently padded the bed, handsome face oozing with a raw sincerity as he tried to search your downcast eyes, “Do ya’ wanna take about it?”
Inaudibly your mouth formed the word ‘no.’ As you stared down at Katsuki’s sweatpants and his leg nervously bouncing against the floor.
“M’kay, later than baby,” he stood up rounding the bed and opening up his covers, “let’s get our cute n’ tired asses sleeping then.”
He held out his hand and you passed him your phone as he wordlessly plugged it in on the spare charger next to his.
Quietly you shuffled yourself underneath the covers, a gently lullaby now presenting itself.
Katsuki made another round across the room to turn off the light before it plunged you back into the blackness. The bed dipping as your boyfriend shuffled in next to you.
Strong arms pulled you to his chest, a hand cradling the back of your head and the other rubbing tiny circles on the small of your back.
He shifted underneath you, a rumbling intake of air before he spoke again in a broken whisper, “I know y’er thinking about that song.”
you breathed, chest pressing against his in a sigh you nodded against his pec, “I am.”
Another rumble against your fingertips, the bear pressed against his abdomen with your smaller arm. Followed by another big breath before Katsuki began purring with the deep n’ crackling melody that he’d once caught you humming along to alone in the commons room on another sleepless night.
His - almost purring - wormed its way against your own chest. His body heat oozing into your own exhausted limbs as his big palm against your back side up along your arm to find your hand. Placing it against his other pec and holding it there for a minute before you grabbed it and placed it over your collarbone. The hand of your lover superimposed against that terrible feeling. His calloused fingers brushing over the taught skin and soft shadows dancing from the moonlight curtains.
Katsuki as his nose nuzzled into your hairline and pressed a warm kiss there at the end of your song. Placing his forehead against yours when a fresh wav of silent tears leaked from your eyes. His slightly chapped lips and fingers kissing them away.
And by the time the moons glow was fading you’d managed to be coaxed into a few good hours of sleep . . .

IzukuJū: Quirk Assessment
@flippythegodzilla
The class was quiet when Shota made his appearance. "You're in your places. Better than most starting classes. But I expect the same from here on out." The class jumped at the sight of him in 'caterpillar' mode as Mamadoriya called it. So they hadn't noticed him. There was an air of awkwardness in the room, so likely the silence was caused by that and not a desire not to waste time. Oh well, he'd made his expectations known.
He got to the front of the room and frowned. Izu- No he was Midoriya now. He'd won the right to have the unofficial 'little brother' of UA in his class because he was less likely to favor him. Midoriya looked downcast.
And that was illogical to the extreme. He'd been so happy, so excited to be in the school as a student and not just a resident. He'd been talking just this morning about how he couldn't wait to be in Shota-nii's class. And now he looked like someone ran over his cat.
Combined with the awkward air around the room, someone must have said something to him. He knew even he couldn't expel someone for hurting a classmates feelings. But would he make sure the lesson was learned.
"My name is Aizawa Shouta and I'll be your homeroom teacher. Change into your gym clothes and meet me on the grounds." "But what about orientation?" Seat 5, Uraraka Ochako if he wasn't wrong, asked.
"We don't have time for such pointless things. Emergencies wait for no one. Get moving."
Midoriya was out of his seat immediately. Good boy. Time to see what his new class could do.
~ "Dude how do you know where you're going?" Sero asked, as Izuku made beeline for the locker rooms.
"I have all of UA memorized." Izuku answered, simply.
"Like a useless fanboy." Kaachan snarled.
Izuku tried to hide his hurt. "I also know Aizawa-sensei expelled his homeroom class last year because he didn't think they were taking things seriously. So we should probably hurry."
Kaminari gulped at that.
They made it to the locker room and quickly changed.
"Are you not going to remove your watch?" Iida asked, as they changed into their gym uniforms.
"It's not a watch." Izuku explained. "It a part of me and my quirk, like your engines."
"Truly?" Iida's eyes opened wide. "I have not known many outside my family with partial mechanical heteromorphic quirks." He didn't sound accusing, like Kaachan had. Instead he sounded excited that they had something in common. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all.
"We can talk later. But we need to get outside before Aizawa-sensei get cross with us." Also he was rocking saying Aizawa-sensei instead of Shouta-nii. He'd been practicing for weeks!
Iida pushed up his glasses. "You are absolutely correct! Thank you for keeping me on point. I look forward to working with you in the future."
Izuku smiled. Shouta-nii always said hero students weren't there to make friends, but he was glad he was making some anyway.
~
The boys, by dint of Izuku both knowing the school paths and warning them about Aizawa's tendency for expulsion, got to the field first. Izuku couldn't help but beam as Shouta-nii nodded at them in approval. Once the girls came out, he began. "You." He said, singling out Kaachan. "In the standardized tests in middle school, what was the farthest you ever threw the ball?" "Sixty-seven meters." Kaachan answered.
Shouta-nii handed him a ball. "Try it with your quirk."
Izuku knew Kaachan had amazing control with his quirk. But it had only grown in the six years since he'd seen him. With a cry of "DIE!" he blasted it 705.2 meters.
"Public school don't let you do fitness tests using your quirk. It's illogical. We're going to be doing the same fitness tests, but this time, adding your quirks."
The was a murmur of excitement and one pink skinned girl cried out "This is going to be so much fun." Izuku winced even as his red haired classmate made shushing noises at her. So much for a good impression.
"Fun? You think this will be fun? You need to take these seriously. The person who gets the lowest ranking overall is going to be expelled."
"Crap, greenie was right." Kaminari shrieked.
"That's not fair." Uraraka complained.
"You know what else isn't fair. Earthquakes. Natural disasters. Villain attacks. As heroes you'll have to be dealing with the most unfair things in the world and if you can't cope with this you'll never shake it out there." Shouta-nii gave his worst smile. "Welcome to the UA Hero Course." Izuku pulled up the omnitrix's screen and began to cycle through his forms. For the fitness tests either Mighty or Basilisk would be best, capitalizing on their strength or speed. Now which one? The tests would be grip strength, handball throw, sit ups, sidestep, standing long jumps, and 50m sprint.
Break it down for each form. Mighty Form would excell at the ball throw and grip strength. He'd probably do fairly well on the long jumps. Decent at the sit ups and sidesteps, but his bulk would slow him down for the 50m dash unless he was allowed to jump that too.
Basilik Form would easily take top or near top in the side steps and 50m dash. Pretty good on the jump if he could build up speed. Grip strength and ball throw would be tricky with his hand and arm shape. And he wasn't sure sit ups where physically possible for that body same. Mighty it was.
He pressed the button and the now-familiar feeling of the omnitrix spread through him he grew to about the size of Shouta-nii, his skin turning red and his second pair of arms bursting out.
"You have more things you can turn into?" Uraraka asked, delighted. "Your quirk is the coolest!"
"Thanks," Izuku said, rubbing the back of his neck with his arms, blush barely visible on his new skin color.
"DEKU! What the hell!? Explain yourself!" Kaachan demanded as he rocketted toward him, explosions primed in hand.
Izuku grabbed Uraraka an leapt away, getting both of them out of the line of fire, except a piece of cloth wrapped around him and the blasts suddenly cut off.
Shouta-nii stood there, absolute rage written on his face. "Explain yourself. Now."
"Me?" Kaachan creamed offended. "He's the one who needs to explain himself! I don't know how he's faking having a quirk, or cheated his way in here, but Deku's a quirkless loser who has no place here."
"I understand." Shouta-nii said calmly. "Bakugou Katsuki, you are expelled from the UA Hero course."
The was a moment of utter silence. Yaoyarouzu's hands flew to her mouth.
"What the fuck? You're going to expel me over that quirkless loser? Because what? I hurt his feelings"
"I will not expel someone over hurt feelings" Aizawa said just as dryly. "I can and will expel someone over attempted assault, illegal quirk use, and bigotry."
"You gave us permission to use our quirks."
"For fitness tests. Not for assaulting your classmates. Excuse me. Former classmates." Shota-nii looked over his class. "You might as well head to orientation, since we'll be filling out the expulsion paperwork."
"You can't do this to me!" Kaachan yelled, real fear entering his voice.
"We'll continue the assessment afterwards. Dismissed." he ordered his class, before turning around and dragging his former student into the building.
"I thought he was bluffing," Yaoyorozu whispered.
"And don't think you're safe because Kaachan got expelled." Izuku warned. "I already told the guys this, but he expelled his entire homeroom last year. If he think's were not giving it our all...but hey, this gives us all through orientation to strategize. Use every second we have."
"Right." Iida chopped his arm. "We know our tasks and our quirks. Let us strategize the best methods to use them so Aizawa-sensei sees we are all worthy of being here."
"I'm just invisible." Hagakure worried. "That doesn't factor into any fitness tests."
"Not on it's own," Izuku allowed. "But it can be used to obfuscate how you're doing the tests."
"We can discuss this further, but I think right now we should get to orientation." Asui pointed out. "Who knows what Aizawa-sensei will do if he thinks we skipped?"
The class rushed to the auditorium, were they snuck in. And if several notes were passed around, coming up with the best ways they could use their quirks, no one said anything.
And if Izuku beamed with pride when Aizawa complimented them on their logical use of there time? Everyone else could say they felt the same.
~~~~
Izuku's names for his other forms:
Four Arms - Mighty (Look. Look. He was 10. One of them HAD to be an All Might reference)
Diamondhead - Hōsekishō (It means Jeweler)
Grey Matter - Roswell (Self explanitory, and a little ironic as he doesn't know these forms are aliens)
Wildmutt -Komainu (after the Guardian beasts)
Heatblast - Akuma (fire headed yokai)
Can best jeanist control sheep? I mean he controls fibers but what makes it qualify as a fiber rather then just like sheep wool or like synthetic fibers how does that work if he tried do you think he could control like all plastic stuff or does it have to be string shaped? I really like the theory that if your body chemistry is unique enough and he is familiar enough with it that he could identify someone by their hair (like bakugo, sweating nitroglycerin has to make you body have some weird chemistry if only to prevent them from being poisoned by their own sweat) like in this fic (it’s part of a series so you’ll want to read the other works in the series first for context but it’s a really good series and I love it)
Prince Shoto Todoroki x Court Lady Reader
Warnings: extreme fluff, arranged marriage, mentions of scars, Shoto is hopeless romantic and we love him ♡
Tumblr media
The late morning Autumn sun baked the windowsill stones as a soft breeze fluttered through the room, gently moving the silvery white fabric that trailed against the floor as you tighten the corset ribbons. The dress was a beautiful gift, handcrafted with delicate lace flowers and silky material, a true gift befitting a princess. You tightened the ribbons to the corset as Princess Fuyumi took a breath, a soft gasp eeking past her lips at the tight squeeze. You could feel her heartbeat hammering through the tight material as you continued to situate and fix, thrumming like the wings of a hummingbird. You gave her a cup of water that was on a nearby tray, a soft smile gracing you as she took the silver from your hands.
“Are you okay my lady? Feeling ill?” You asked with concern as her cheeks flushed.
“No. No, I’m fine,” She breathed, setting the cup aside, “just a bit nervous”. Her hands smoothed the material at her waist, her body fidgeting back and forth in the long mirror as she looked at her reflection. She was stunning in this dress, the deep blue of house Iida fitting her so well it really did feel like she was made for this.
“Nothing to be nervous about,” You said, finishing the backing with an easy knot bow due to this just being the fitting. But nerves were expected when planning to meet her future husband in a week. The dress box and a necklace with the family crest had arrived that morning at the castle gates by private messenger. Queen Rei immediately instructed you to have it fitted on Fuyumi to be tailored if needed and have it ready for the engagement ball.
“But what if he… doesn't want me?” She asked in a quiet voice, looking down at the floor, “What if we’re nothing alike and have no common interests? What if we aren’t meant to be and I end up like my parents?”. The conflicts between the King and Queen were far from private, their fights and cold behavior toward each other spilling over into the bare minimum family life they participated in. You had been taken in when you were only sixteen years old, an orphan made into an aid for the princess, and had quickly realized the strained dynamic that resided within the castle walls.
“But what if you are? And that night is the first night of the rest of your life?” You say, delicately taking her hand in yours as she looked over at you with her stone gray eyes filled with apprehension, “I’m certain everything will be alright”. She squeezed your hand for a moment so hard you thought your fingers would break but you let her, knowing she needed the grounding now more than ever.
“Tell me his name again,” She said, the hand not holding yours going down to pet along the patterned lace.
“Tensei Iida,” You said, having overheard the Queen discussing with her two private court ladies as they made wedding preparations.
“Tensei,” She said with a deep breath, the name rolling naturally off her tongue, “I like that”. You nodded as you fixed a strand of her hair that had fallen out of place, nearly jumping at the quick knock against the door. You bowed and stepped to the side as the Queen entered, gushing over how beautiful her daughter looked.
“Look at you! The prize of the country,” Rei said with an elated tone, hands flitting around her daughter looking for any marks or imperfections to the gown or her composure, “I can not believe that my lovely Fuyumi is going to be getting engaged to be married. The perfect Winter wedding, as is tradition”. The Todoroki’s were always married in the cold, their traditional wedding robes made of thick furs and deep crimson wool. But this time would be different as Fuyumi would only be in the crimson robes for the first half, changing the cloak over in the middle of the ceremony as a transition into the next family.
“Imagine if you are soulmates. A Royal pairing destined from birth, how romantic” Rei said with a dreamy sigh, giving her daughter a squeeze quickly before turning to you. “Does the gown need tailoring?”.
You shook your head. “No your highness, it fits perfectly. Expertly made,”.
“Excellent! Exactly what I wanted to hear,” She beamed, turning for the door once again, “We have many things to discuss Fuyumi, Meet me in the north wing parlor room as soon as you get your dress put away”. The wooden door shut heavily behind her, Fuyumi breathed a sigh of relief as her mother disappeared.
“Get this off of me, I would rather not look at it anymore,” She said curtly, undoing the bow behind her back as you moved quickly to loosen the corset. Once the garment was neatly folded away in a dressing trunk, the princess reluctantly left the room with a quiet “see you for supper” before the door shut behind her too. Fuyumi had always been reserved around her parents, going along with whatever they wanted for her just so she didn’t have to hear them fighting or be on the receiving end of their backlash. After Touya’s death and the second youngest son, Natsuo, leaving for a monastery almost immediately after the funeral before he could be crowned, the pressure had been put on her shoulders. And Shoto’s. Your cheeks burned thinking about the prince as you exited the dressing room and made your way across the hall, stopping by your small room on the way to grab the book you were reading so you could head to the gardens for a bit.
It really was a beautiful day, bugs and birds chirping as you made your way through the bloomed rose hedges and the soft dry grass beneath your feet. You always liked to escape to the back area where a few cherry trees blossomed, still smelling sweet in the fall coolness even with the flowers gone and the leaves turned a vibrant fire orange after the fruit was picked and made down into jams and wine, the spot was peaceful and a safe haven. You had just turned to the page with the folded corner when you heard the slightest shuffle of a footstep behind you.
“Your Father training you on your stealth skills?” You asked with a smile when you heard the prince sigh in annoyance behind you.
“He’s not doing a very good job apparently,” Shoto said, flopping down onto the grass on his back and laying his head on your lap where your legs were crossed under your long cotton dress.
“Maybe you are just not a good student,” You said, giggling as he reached up to push your face playfully.
“Such kind words for the man that wants your hand in marriage,” Shoto huffed, prying one of your hands off the book, lacing your fingers together, and pressing soft kisses to your knuckles. You could feel your lips turning down, brow furrowing out of his view for a moment. You always disliked when he brought up marriage.
“I know you’re grimacing behind your book,” He said pointedly, freehand coming up and pushing the book down so he could make eye contact with you.
“You know I don’t like when you talk like that,” You chided, bopping him very lightly with the hardbound spine.
“Like what? Like someone who loves you more than I have air to breathe?” Shoto mused, pressing one more lingering kiss to the back of your hand before placing it on his head, closing his eyes against the feeling of your fingers running through his red and white hair, nails lightly scratching at the scalp as you felt him relax further against you. The sunlight filtering through the leaves on the trees cast shadows of swaying branches and spots of light against Shoto’s soft face, like bright heaven kisses against his cheeks, his eyelids, and even the scar surrounding his turquoise eye, making him all the more ethereal. He always seemed to take your breath away, your hand faltering for a split second when he cast his bright heterochromatic eyes to yours, the blue and gray shining with so much warmth and adoration that your eyes began to sting with tears.
“I’ve never felt love like I do for you,” Shoto said quietly, a soft breath of vulnerability and admittance for you alone. Before you could even think about replying, the loud voice of one of the King’s attendants rang out across the garden and scattered the birds.
“YOUR MAJESTY! YOUR PRESENCE IS REQUESTED BACK IN THE TRAINING ROOM”. They always knew where to find him, but at least were none the wiser of your beings here. Shoto groaned, calling back a quick “I’m coming!” before sitting up and grasping your jaw in his hand.
“Meet me here tonight, After dinner. I want to see you again,” He said, bending in quickly to press a hard kiss on your forehead as you nodded, fighting the smile from your face. And in a flash, he was gone, wanting to be quick so as not to bring them searching. If anyone caught you two together it could mean the worst of endings. Exiled to the forest to die by the teeth of some beast or, worst, beheaded in a public display. Used as an example of what happens when inferior blood attempts to mix with the royal family. Being allowed a room in the castle alone was more than anything anyone like you could hope to receive from a family of such high standing, according to several quotes over the years from both the King and Queen. Fuyumi had always said to let their comments roll off your back, like water on a duck's feathers, never take heed to their words, and just smile and nod. Even if it felt like acid was boiling behind your teeth as you bit your tongue to keep your composure. An uneasy feeling squirmed like eels fighting the lingering butterflies in your stomach as you thought back to Shoto’s words.
‘The man that wants your hand in marriage'. He had said it with so much conviction, so assuredly that hope had bloomed in your chest for a moment. But it was always a means to an end, and with your luck, not a good one. The close relationship Shoto and you had was forbidden in the eyes of his parents, and almost everyone else, but the prince wouldn’t relent. Starry-eyed confessions in the dark of your room of running away, far away, across the ocean and leaving this big castle and all of the problems and torments inside of it behind. Slip through the cracks like a ghost in the night and vanish before morning dawn. It wasn’t a plan, barely even the bones of one, but the way he held you and spoke so softly it felt like it could be reality. Even as tears wetted your cheeks. You took a deep breath and pushed the thoughts away, not wanting to go into this dinner in a sour mood knowing the Queen’s cheer would bring about a worse one.
