However, not all of them guarantee stability, purpose, or quick employability.
If you are someone who wants to build a respected career with job security, social impact, and steady income, then a career in nursing might be the right choice. I'm Back...hopefully
After a semester and a half, I finally found time to do other hobbies in my life. The past several months were a ride. To make things clear, as of now, I have finished my third year of architecture, and I'm yet to begin my fourth year. There was so much I did this whole semester, and I would love to list it out
A little recap on what I've been up to all these months
I finished my business school campus studio project for my 5th semester. I remember putting extra effort into the campus plan, but all my other buildings, academic blocks, were poorly done.

2. Within the same semester, my class and I were participating in the Louis I Kahn trophy posted by NASA India. The competition requires you to study an unlisted historical building and document it. It was a heavy job, needing plans, sections, details, joinery, and a 3d model of the entire building. The building we chose was the administrative block of the College of Agriculture, Vellayani. The building was a former summer palace for a Travancore queen and her two daughters: Lalitha and Indira, who further called the palace Lalind Loch Palace. Its history is unknown, but we had to work backwards and make intelligent guesses about it. The building had Indo-colonial features and a lot of decorative elements.
I was tasked with the role of making a report summarizing our efforts, and I was also asked to contribute to developing the section drawings and the 3d model, which, OMG, lagged my laptop so hard...such a massive file.
If you're interested, you can read my report here. I'm very proud of it:
3. Shortly after our class had to attend the ANDC completion hosted by NASA India. It required us to contact and assist an NGO in constructing temporary structures for a social cause. Though not our best work, I had a lot of fun loading wet concrete and helping in the construction.
4. On the onset of the 6th semester, I was tasked with the role of being a media head for a department fest that was to come, called AARAM 2025. Using my expertise in graphic design, animation, and social media marketing, I made a lot of things, helped develop the brand design, created goodies like stickers, certificates, registration bands, volunteer cards, posters, venue maps, and more.
More importantly, I led an animation team, and together we made two animated shorts to help in the marketing of the event. It's not in the quality I imagined, but boy, am I so proud to do what felt impossible back then. I'm proud of what we made. I didn't think I could direct a team like that.

4. With all those extracurriculars, I was convinced that I would fail in the 6th semester. Our studio project was to design a multifunctional apartment that includes a hotel and a commercial belt. The toughest part was that the hypothetical site we were given was an entire city block! We had to design an apartment that can house an entire city block's residents. It felt too massive, but somehow I pulled through with the world's worst apartment.
The juror lamented on how this building was designed well in terms of lighting and wind, but had poor spatial quality. From the sheer look of it, it passes off as a massive brutalist office building, and its floor plates were so massive that I believe it could serve as inspiration for the next backrooms typology. But somehow I passed, and that's all that mattered.
5. Before passing my 6th semester, I was deeply anxious about internships. Our syllabus mandates us to spend our entire 7th semester doing an internship in an architecture firm of our choice. I had always been eager for this moment, but time flies by fast. I was worried I wouldn't even get anywhere. My hopes were to get a firm in Dubai as I have spent most of my childhood there and for this I started working my ass off on my Internship portfolio. With much effort, love, and time, I finally made it. I was perhaps one of the only students in the class who made it so soon. But having this completed before the 6th sem jury meant I didn't put my apartment in it. Although it would have been a flex of my capability if I did, I don't regret it much anyway, since I'm not proud of my apartment. That said, you can view my portfolio here:

I'm particularly proud of my cover page, too. It's a sketch of a dream media/game room that I wanted to have with my boyfriend, in the future. Developed in my first year, it was one of the only times I voluntarily designed a space (without needing any compulsion from the syllabus). It was not a studio project after all, I just did it for fun, but I worked well on it. It involved a conversation pit. I had iterations, discussions and reviews, improvements, etc. I thought it would be fitting to put on my portfolio. A testament to the ambition I have.
With that posted, my fears were absolved: I did secure an internship, sadly not in Dubai but in Bangalore. Like they say, you aim for the moon so you can land on the stars. I'm happy about the outcome, though. Bangalore was a place I visited for a case study, and I simply liked the city life, the workaholic hustle and bustle, the weather, and the South Indian vibes that felt like home. I could see myself working there, and I looked forward to it (that or I'm just delusional). Nonetheless, I'll be doing my internship there, and I look forward to all the experiences and lessons I will learn from there.
In the meantime,
With all my academic and extracurricular shackles broken, I'm finally free to pursue other hobbies and projects. I'm all rallied up with passion(which I must channel carefully lest I burn myself out), I have already started working on some:
Touchdesigner is cool
I have always been obsessed with tech animations in general. Each sci-fi media I have consumed had a tech graphic style of its own; for example, the tech graphics of Neon Genesis Evangelion are not the same as those of Cyberpunk. When I came across Touchdesigner, I was appalled at its capabilities, its node-like nature reminded me of Grasshopper, and I have been craving to do something techy. The computer science student in me wanted to go back to my UI design days. And being a hungry learner, I tried it out. did some stuff
instagram
instagram
I have been messing with ASCII art and blob tracking. And in that rabbit hole, I have grown a fondness for pixel arts, Y2K aesthetic, old web designs, fruitiger aero, etc.
What would really be interesting is how I could fuse this with architecture. If anything, I can only think of ways architecture software could be designed like Touchdesigner. like Minecraft or something. You slap in a door node, and you slap in a window node or something like that. Taking inspiration from Alexander Christopher's Pattern Language, it would be great if we could computerize the design process of buildings. Each pattern or component could be like a number, and we can use those numbers (or patterns) to do operations and create results. Much like a design lab, we can experiment. We can make millions of permutations and generate results, and we can filter amongst all these iterations. and pick a good solution. I admit the whole idea sounds unhealthily mechanical. Most architects would love to trust their artistic instincts; in fact, most would believe that it's wrong to harness something as intangible as architectural creativity with a technology like that. But in all honesty, software has only made us more creative in unexpected ways. I never knew that my creativity with shapes and colours would evolve into creativity of using blending modes and effects. More food for thought, I suppose.
2. Trying to make a random vlog coz I thought it would be this phase would be interesting to record. However, the vlog is made purely for my future self to view. After Effects is still a draining software for me. But I love the progress so far
3. I'm also working on another webtoon, in collaboration with a friend. I can not reveal stuff yet, but it's a great isekai story with its own uniqueness. Can't wait to talk about it.
4. Other than this, I plan to do other things, like read a book on modern cryptography, write more, and learn more, essentially.
Some people would call me insane for working even after I was granted a vacation, but I suppose I like tinkering on stuff like this. I like keeping myself occupied by fun things like this. coz seriously there are so many cool things in this world that I would love to learn, and love to create. So many skills I want to dip my toes in, and only one life.
I'll stop before it gets cringe. I want to hopefully continue on my analysis of Mondstadt sometime soon.
Bye:)))

Scholarships - Bridging the Skills Gap to Meet Changing Industry Needs
The workplace is rushing past. New employment is being created, artificial intelligence is instructing boardrooms on what to do, and robotics is transforming everything from phone banks to compilers. However, the punchline remains: millions of young Indians are emerging without the skills that are now required by today's employers. So, what can be done to immediately address the persistent theory-practice gap between academia and industry? This is where scholarships in India step in, but not those that merely cover tuition. These are life-changing opportunities that combine on-the-job training, technology-enabled education, and job-ready mentoring.
Why Are Skills The New Currency?
Let's be honest: understanding Pythagoras' theorem won't help you get through a business pitch or a team Zoom meeting. What sectors are in need right now? Critical thinking. Clarity of communication. Digital know-how. However, for too many students, particularly those from under-represented groups, mastering such skills feels like trying to board a fast train without a ticket.
That is exactly where scholarships and the work of the top 10 education NGOs in India come in. They are not only sponsoring education; they are reshaping it. Consider interactive learning labs, spoken English boot camps, internship opportunities, and career counselling, all under one inspiring roof.
Anjali’s Leap From Local To Limitless
Say welcome to Anjali, a 17-year-old from Thane. Her parents are regular gamblers, and a college education looked like a distant dream. However, with the assistance of a Kotak Education Foundation grant, she completed a practical degree in graphic design, learnt to speak English well, and even landed a remote internship with a creative firm. She's studying while earning and aspires higher than ever before.
How Do These Non-Governmental Organisations Do It?
Kotak Education Foundation, a leading NGO in India, is flipping education on its head. They are preparing kids for life by leveraging technology, experiential learning, and corporate mentorship, rather than just tests. The frosting on the cake? Scholarships in India ensure that no desire is left unrealised due to financial constraints.
Ready To Be Part Of The Change?
Whether you're a teacher, policymaker, parent, or simply an equal opportunity supporter, now is the moment to learn how you can get engaged. Discover how the top 10 education NGOs in India are affecting lives. Investigate scholarships in India that provide opportunities beyond a degree.
Your Push Might Be The Catalyst For Someone's Next Big Move
Visit the Kotak Education Foundation and see how they're bringing ambitions and careers closer together, one student at a time.
