and because of that suin has dedicated many love songs, cute or sad, to kyungsoo

kyungsoo said that once he read lyrics and heard the song, he knew he wanted to sing it for suin

the 'i do' is nod to their wedding and marriage of coursee

and kyungsoo requested suin be a feature on the song, and so they included duet sections, with suin joinning in the back-and-forth part in the second verse, and the ending chorus

omg this beautiful song, yes

kyungsoo was in the mv, the music video had a whole storyline, they played two individuals, blind in one eye and one deaf, the mv was a message about discrimination, etc. (you know that plot of the original mv, but instead of taehyung, its kyungsoo instead)

but regardless, the song itself describes two lovers running away to the ends of the earth together

ooh! and theres a small reference to kyungsoo's song mars, a nice way to shoutout the person she wrote the song for and was in the mv so

there is also a sweet reference to her fandom, dearest, and her previous duo group, darling, in the opening line

not only was this song to announce their engagement, but this was how they revealed their relationship

safe to say, there was a lot to process for dearests, exo-ls and well, the entire industry

not only did this song go viral in korea and overseas, but they headlined for the entire month

also the day they were dubbed the 'soosoo' couple

and the most beloved couple in korea

after this, the paparazzi photos of their outings were released, and details of their relationship was the highly sought after by the public

the mv consisted of clips of their relationship, revealing their long-term relationship, and revealing their history (read that here!)

but the last clip was the footage from the proposal, from the perspective of the exo and svt members (you can clearly hear them lol)

basically, the song perfectly sums up how kyungsoo felt after losing suin and the lyrics describes his regret

although it was released wayyy after their break up, kyungsoo held onto this song for a while, he didn't know if he wanted to release it as in 2024, they were happily married, why would he release their breakup song?

but suin loved the song so much, that she begged him to release it so she could listen to it

kyungsoo found it funny that she would even like that song that literally described his guilt, but according to her "its a good reminder of your idiocy :)" (pft- kyungsoo gagged)
