Do firstly excuse the terrible out of tune singing, the PJ’s, the fact I don’t quite know the words (I have memory problems so it takes me longer) and the fact I look rubbish I am in bed resting every time I’m not doing taylor stuff and paying for it massively and it’s a struggle so that’s why. It’s so cool how taylor uses references that perfectly encapsulate what she is talking about giving a depth and further explanation to her life story she is telling through each album. Like “Are you ready for it” she says “burton to my taylor” referring to Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor who were spectacular actors and loved each other passionately but were the type of couple where they couldn’t live with each other but they couldn’t live without each other. They were soulmates that clashed. It’s those details that I love. The whole narrative, lyrics, beat, layering of sounds along with those details make me absolutely adore this song!
