one of the things that really sticks out to me about nirvana in fire is how in winter you can see everyone's breath during conversations. even indoors, which is probably somewhat realistic! people smarter than me have probably already talked about the snow/fire motifs that wind through the show but the additional way the cold is so present is really striking.
