If you are planning for Greece, we recommend visiting the Northern part with Catamaran charter Greece. The northern part of Greece is less known among foreign visitors. This makes them less frequented navigation areas. Booking a cabin on a fast ferry to get to this part of Greece is an economical and relaxed way to get to the Dodecanese. However, it can also be accessed by a domestic flight from Athens, less than one hour long. Navigating these islands is a delight if you can bear the cost of a fast flight from Athens or you can afford to spend a day traveling with the ferry. In the area, there are fantastic ports that make you feel as if you had totally abandoned modern civilization. It also allows you to experience a variety of navigation conditions which is very good if you want a more active trip. Some islands have spectacular landscapes, such as Tilos that practically lacks any type of vegetation under the clear and sunny sky. Others, such as Nisiros, have fertile volcanic soil and spectacular cities perched on volcanic craters reminiscent of Santorini but without the accumulation of people. The contrast between the dry land, the blue, and crystalline waters, and the tiny villages along the coast make navigating this area a truly beautiful experience. Cos and Rhodes, which are usually the islands where boats are rented, have stunning beaches with lively and bustling cities if you're looking for some action. You can also hire the best and Luxury yacht charter and sailing through the Ionian Sea, including Corfu, Lefkada, Kefalonia, and Zante. Sailing through the Ionian Sea, including Corfu, Lefkada, Kefalonia, and Zante: The coast of the Ionian Sea is frankly impressive. Quiet bays with isolated taverns, crystal clear water coves and green landscapes, small harbors and many phenomenal places to anchor. It will be difficult for you to choose between the ranges of transparent colors, from bright turquoise to intense emerald green. This is the area where Onassis chose to buy his island. In fact, the distances between all the islets of the region and the peninsula are small, which makes it easy to jump from one island to another to enjoy different beaches or ports, as much as if you have rented Boat charter to take it on your own as if you've hired a pattern to navigate more relaxed. Summer vacation in Italy for most typically means making your rounds to Venice, Florence and Rome. Although, what most tourists fail to realize is that summer in Italy is best experienced at the beach. The Italian peninsula is home to some of the most beautiful and pristine beaches in the world. From the natural reserves of Elba, white sand beaches in Puglia, to the rocky coastline of the Amalfi Coast, you are sure to find the perfect escape for your summer holiday.
The diversity of fabulous beaches is seemingly endless. Whether you are looking for a secluded, private beach, posh resort with beachside food and drink service, or a family friendly getaway escape, you are sure to find one in Italy. Not only is the Mediterranean state abundant with secluded and undiscovered beaches, but it also is hard to beat the overall charm, exquisite food and fascinating history that Italy has to offer. Each region with a unique geography, cuisine and culture of their own, you can be sure it will continue to have you coming back for more each summer.
Puglia
The heel of Italy’s boot, this mostly undiscovered region in Italy is home to some of the most pristine beaches not only in Italy, but probably the world. At this unique peninsula, discover beaches where the Adriatic Sea meets the Ionian.
Spiaggia di Pescoluse: Nicknamed the Maldives del Salento (Maldives of Salento), this beach is at the southern most point in Puglia. Grab some lounge chairs and an umbrella for the day for around €10 and experience the white sandy beaches and crystal blue waters. You may even forget that you are in Italy, but instead on a relaxing island getaway.
Baia Verde, Gallipoli: Looking for a livelier beach, head to the coastline just below the fortressed city of Gallipoli. Walk down the sandy stretch, and you will find an array of beach clubs perfect for both those looking to relax and catch some rays or day party. For a live DJ and Aperol Spritz, head to Samsara Beach Club. For a more relaxed vibe with backround music and a bar that serves up drinks and food, Bikini Beach Club is a perfect option.
Lama Monachile Cala Porto, Poglinano a Mare: Wedged between two cliffs, this narrow stretch of beach is likely one of the most picturesque in all of Italy. Join fellow sunbathers along this public beach for a swim in bright blue waters, and possibly even a snorkel into the grottos situated along the parallel cliffsides. After a long day in the sun, stop at the local ristorante, Fly (Vico Cala Porto 13), just above the beach for an aperitivo and chance to watch the sunset from one of the most spectacular terrace viewpoints.
Sicily
The island of Sicily may be one of the most magical destinations in Italy. Seemingly stopped in time, the Italian charm that is Italy truly comes alive here. Surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea, there are seemingly an infinite number of options for a seaside vacation. Some of the best in the region are the following.
Cala Rossa, Isola di Favignana: Just off the western coast of Sicily, the Aegean Islands are just a short, high-speed ferry ride from the port town of Trapani. Hop on the ferry for a day trip to the most beautiful of the three islands, to Favignana. Upon arrival, rent a bicycle or scooter and set off exploring the small island escape, hopping from one beach to the next. One you cannot miss is Cala It is truly like something you only see in photos, the waters are so clear that you can see the shadow of boats on the sandy ocean floor below. It is also the perfect snorkeling escape along its’ rocky beach, so be sure to bring some goggles and flippers.
Isola Bella, Taormina: Just below the famed city of Taormina, this quaint and charming beach has a shallow pathway to the island just off the shore. Also referred to as The Pearl of the Ionian Sea, this small bayside beach and nature reserve is the perfect getaway for a relaxing day at the beach.
San Vito Lo Capo: Situated in a protected bay area, escape the coastal winds and grab a lounge chair under the towering Mount Monaco. This low-key, typical Italian beach locale is the perfect way to spend a day at the beach for both singles and families alike.
Liguria
The crescent shaped region in the northwestern portion of Italy, and known as the Italian Riviera. Of course home to the five famed seaside towns of Cinque Terre, though the best beaches lie mostly undiscovered by tourists and are true Italian getaways.
Baia del Silenzio, Sestri Levante: Characterized by fine golden sand beaches, calm waters inside this tucked away bay and its’ beautiful rocky coastline. This is the perfect Italian Riviera beach town for those looking to stay outside the tourist traps of Cinque Terre while also still being a short 20 minute train ride away for day trips to the famed, cliffside towns. A must do in this Italian holiday town is a Catamaran sailing tour that you can find just at the port. Head out into the calm waters for a relaxing and adventurous sailing cruise. Get the chance to jump into crystal waters, snorkel for marine life below, and marvel at the jetting cliffs from the sandy beaches ashore.
Isola d’Elba
Just off the coast of Tuscany, this Tyrrhenian Sea Island is a part of the Archipelago National Park. Specifically known for its’ beaches, it is no wonder that Napolean chose this as his place of exile from 1814 to 1815.
Spiaggia di Sansone: Arguably one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. Head to this mesmerizing beach, if possible on a day without wind, for perfect views into the crystal clear waters. As the cliffs meet the coastline, white sand jets out into the turquoise waters. For adventure seekers, head to the cliff that separates this beach from Sorgente Beach for an opportunity to go cliff jumping.
Sardinia
The largest Italian island in the Tyrrhenian Sea, Sardinia is no stranger to ranking among the best beaches in the world. Best compared to Caribbean-esque beaches, with stretches of soft white sand and glistening blue waters, Sardinia’s beach clubs, coves and secluded natural reserves are all bucket list musts when it comes to Italian beach holidays. On this relatively large island, you are sure to find the perfect seaside spot for whatever your holiday needs are, whether it includes relaxation, family friendly or water sports.
Putzu Idu: A highly frequented locale for windsurfers and kitesurfers alike, this beach lies on the northern peninsula of Sardinia. For those looking for a more active Italian holiday, the town surrounding the beach includes quaint vacation rentals and accommodations and typical Italian bars and restaurants for the full setup.
Spiaggia di Piscinas: For a taste of Sardinia outside of the resorts and tourism, make the drive to Costa Verde (Green Coast) for an exclusive beach characterized by golden sand dunes that reach up to 60 meters high and crystalline blue waters.
Spiaggia del Principe: In the renowned region of Costa Smeralda enjoy the views of mega and super yachts just off the coastline as you sip on a cold glass of prosecco with your toes in the shimmering sand. Take a dive into the clear, calm waters and explore the rocky sea sides for a chance to snorkel and explore the marine life in true paradise.
Calabria
The toe of Italy’s boot, Calabria is truly the essence of undiscovered beach gems. Surprisingly hidden from tourists, this region is full of enchanting seaside towns and illuminating blue waters both along the Ionian and Tyrrhenian Seas.
Práia a Mare: In the more northern region of Calabria, known as Cosenza, Praia a Mare lies on the Tyrrhenian Sea. Most notable for Dino Island, a World Heritage Site as a result of its’ sea caves that irradiate underwater light creating an iridescently blue hue to the sea. The beach is also unique in its’ volcanic black sand, giving it a striking contrast between the dark stretches of beach and crystalline waters. For those looking for full beachside experience, there are also plenty of lidos (beach clubs) with lounge chairs, umbrellas and full service bars. For a more naturesque escape, head to the nearby Pollino National Park for windsurfing, scuba diving and snorkeling, as well as hiking.
Tropea: This fabulous white sand beach of the region is often referred to by locals as the “Positano of the South”, and by Ancient Greeks as the “Coast of the Gods.” Lay out on the glistening sands and soak up the rays, gorgeous views of the cliff jetting up from the shoreline and light reflecting off of the marvelous blue waters ahead. On a particularly clear day, keep an eye out for a glimpse of the volcano on the Aeolian island of Stromboli.

How do you get to Formentera? Do it on board a yacht!
We are talking about one of the most appreciated archipelagos in the Mediterranean Sea: the Balearic Islands. In this article, we will especially focus on the island of Formentera, seen from onboard a yacht.
If you want to get more inspired, don’t miss out on our other articles about them:
The best 2021 party destinations for boat trip: Ibiza
Enjoy a boat trip with friends in Mallorca
Formentera, unlike its “sisters” Ibiza and Majorca, is famous above all thanks to its beaches, its nature, and the relaxed life that reigns on this island. In fact, those looking for nightlife and entertainment are probably more inclined to choose its “bigger sisters” as their destination. Formentera holidays turns instead into a search for relaxation, basking in the sun on one of its exceptionally beautiful beaches.
This small island has so much to reveal even in its hinterland, among salt flats, lagoons, pine forests, and ancient villages, all visitable with little effort while taking a trip by bicycle.
How do you get to Formentera?
Formentera is a rare pearl in the middle of a precious archipelago. This is why we believe it is worth living it to the fullest, and what better way to experience it than by mooring your charter yacht off her famous coves?
Let’s find it out together:
How to reach Formentera?
The island is part of the Balearic archipelago, is the smallest of the four major islands, and is also the southernmost one, facing the Spanish coasts of Valencia and Alicante. It is located a short distance from the southern coasts of Ibiza and relies on it both for the airport stops and for the numerous ferries that guarantee daily connections.
Why rent a yacht here?
Living a boat charter in Formentera on this beautiful kind of boat makes it even more unforgettable. You will be comfortably relaxed onboard while quickly moving from one place to another on the island without wasting time and without worrying about the navigation that your disposal’ crew takes care of. You will be free to stop every evening in a different port or bay to watch unique sunsets and enjoy a 360-degree view of the nature that surrounds you every day.
In short, staying on a yacht is a unique way to experience your holiday and means giving yourself and your family the well-deserved relaxation but also the right fun, including dives in the sea, water games, and the joy of being together.
We suggest a serious and reliable rental company: Your Boat Holiday. The company offers its customers the best solutions in terms of boat tours and crew expertise. Check their websites and ask them for any doubt or information!
Don’t miss our selection of yachts and catamaran to get to Formentera:
Riva 68 yacht for charter in the Balearics
Absolute 52 Fly in Spain
Sunreef 62 in Ibiza
Lagoon 52 catamaran in the Balearic Islands
Astondoa 82 in Ibiza, Spain
What to visit in Formentera?
As we said, Formentera is not only known for its sunny beaches but also as a place with centuries-old traditions.
Starting with La Savina, a small port village located in the northern part of the island. This is the real gateway to Formentera as it is the destination for ferries from Ibiza. It is a good place to moor your boat and go ashore to rent bikes, cars, or mopeds and go inland. Not far away are located the characteristic salt lake of Estany Pudent and the beaches of Illetes, Es Cavall d’en Borras, and Platja de Llevant.
The capital of the island of Formentera is Sant Francesc Xavier, a town of about 1000 inhabitants. It is a very simple and characteristic town with a simple atmosphere, with white houses, squares, and cafes where you can relax while sipping a coffee or go shopping in the pedestrian area of Carrer Jaume, full of souvenir shops, artisan shops, and boutiques.
A very popular hippy market is also held in the city during July and August.
The port of La Savina is 3 kilometers away and the beaches of Cala Saona, Es Calo, and Es Migjorn are easily accessible from here.
The natural reserve of Ses Salines is also certainly fascinating. Established in 1995 and witness to a past linked to the salt extraction, it is a precious testimony of the island’s past and a fascinating tourist attraction. The best time to visit them is during the crystallization of the salt when the collection pools are tinged with a soft pink color, the same as the flamingos’ feathers that come here for feeding. During this period, the plays of light that are created in the sunrise and sunset hours are spectacular and unmissable for any photography lover.
Beaches not-to-be-missed in Formentera:
If you have been attracted to Formentera, the reason was almost certainly for its renowned white sand beaches and its transparent water.
Let’s mention some of the best:
Playa ses Illetes is the classic postcard beach of Formentera: a white-sand expanse bathed by a transparent sea reminiscent of the Caribbean.
It is hard to find it deserted as it is one of the main tourist attractions of the island, visited by residents and tourists on a day trip from Ibiza. By mooring your yacht offshore, you can enjoy the best without being overwhelmed by the crowds.
Es Pujols is a wide sandy beach that is partly equipped and partly free. It has maintained a natural aspect, made even more suggestive by the sand dunes behind it. The beach is accessible via a suggestive walk through these dunes on walkways built to protect their delicate ecosystem.
Cala Saona is located in a bay protected on its sides by reddish rock formations while a luxuriant pine forest grows behind it. Its beach is considered to be among the most beautiful on the island, also thanks to its shallow and calm waters that make it perfect for families and children.

The new Bali 4.6 catamaran available for charter in Italy
The Bali catamaran line has made the Catana Group brand famous all over the world and a leader in the production of this type of boat for an international clientele.
This French company, which owns two shipyards, one overlooking the Mediterranean and one on the Atlantic Ocean, has over 35 years of experience in the sector, especially enhanced by its CEO, Olivier Poncin.
The brand’s product range includes boats ranging from 40 to 70 feet in length with a very high target in terms of performance and comfort.
The Bali catamaran line fits into this context.
youtube
They are characterized by an attractive design with modern lines and panoramic views on the outside, large living spaces both inside and outside deck, and quality materials used both in the construction and in the furnishings.
With the Bali line, Catana Group has managed to increase the space available on board by 20%, having transformed the bow net into a wonderful terrace overlooking the sea and the interior saloon into a spacious open space.
In short, we are talking about real floating villas with which to enjoy the sea and vacation days in complete safety.
This is the reason why more and more customers explicitly request this class of catamaran. In fact, they are now a staple for customers who love multi-day catamaran cruises with friends or family but also for charter companies that organize day trips.
Made this necessary introduction, let’s see in more detail the model we want to talk about: the Bali 4.6, which is now available for rental throughout Italy.
The successor of the 4.5, the Bali 4.6 was the 2020 flagship model of the French company. It stands out for having found space for five double cabins, one of which with bunk beds. A unique feature for a catamaran of this size.
Meters and technical data:
Talking about space, the Bali 4.6 has a length of over 14 meters (14.28) and a maximum width of almost 8 meters (7.66).
It is equipped with two engines from 40 to 57 horsepower and an 800-liter fuel tank.
Of course, there is also an 800-liter freshwater tank complete with a desalinator.
Exteriors of the Bali 4.6 catamaran available for charters in Italy:
With a modern and attractive frame design, this catamaran is pleasing to the eye even before boarding.
On this model, the aft cockpit and the saloon become a single large living area thanks to an overhead door. At the front, we find a cockpit with a sunbathing area and sofas. As with all Bali models, no space is wasted. This rule also applies to the flybridge, equipped with sun loungers, a table, and a refrigerator where you can enjoy a 360-degree view of the horizon.
Interiors of the Bali 4.6 catamaran available for charters in Italy:
Elegant and functional interiors complete the boat. A fully equipped kitchen with hob and double fridge with freezer and water cooler. Comfortable cabins with wardrobes and a private bathroom with a shower.
All this equipment makes your stay on board unforgettable.
How many Bali 4.6 catamarans are available for charter in Italy?
This year, 2021, there would be available two Bali 4.6 for charter in Italy. This extremely functional catamaran is available in two different models:
Bali 4.6 catamaran with 4 cabins + crew cabins;
Bali 4.6 catamaran with 5 cabins for up to 10 guests + crews aboard.
Giulia Di Leo, Charter Manager of Your Boat Holiday, visited the stand at the Genova Boat Show in October 2021, and during this nautical event, Catana Group presented this brand new model.
Your Boat Holiday is sincerely pleased to propose to its new and repetitive customers this great choice for a catamaran charter, providing all the additional info and technical clarifications that may need. Especially, explaining all the pros of renting the new catamaran Bali 4.6 in Italy this summer.

You can be an adventure enthusiast or might be looking for a quality vacation with your family, or on the hunt for a private vacation with your partner; Cyclades Islands offers something for everyone.
