Author's note: Hi guys! This is a writing piece that I wrote a long time ago that I really liked. I am open to pointers and suggestions to help me improve my writing! Enjoy ^^

The Shell of a "hero"

Doomsday marks the sore spot in that heart of yours.

Is it physical pain, or emotional, again?

I can only fill it with empty compliments for so long,

I've been doing it for too long.

But nothing else seemed to stop the bleeding. 

Do you really need comfort?

Or do you need yourself? 

I can only help you by giving you the truth...

My fear in hurting you is shallow,

Shallow enough to stop myself from trying once more. 

The truth can rip out a heart.

The truth can reveal the warmth inside, blanketed by the sun. 

All of this warmth, hidden. 

The truth can crack that protective shell. 

But will we allow it to happen? 

I know your warmth is beautiful, 

But the shell is ugly enough to drive me away. 

I'm selfish, and so are you.

But I am the villain in your story.

The villain is bound to hurt, 

I am bound to reveal the truth. 

Your anticlimactic story, your undeserving hateful past.

You drag down those who are so full of light with you.

Down, down the inky, gloomy tunnel. 

You don't mean to, I tell myself. 

Belief can only do so much. 

I adore you for your aspiring ways, your joy and passion for things that make you shine.

But that alone won't be enough to bribe. 

Farewell, hero,

Until you realise the villain is always right.

I'm always here for you.

Kyojuro Rengoku , A kind soul and obviously attractive .

Even though he was really popular among woman and men , he was single .

Of course , he went on dates with some of the ones who were interested in him . He , obviously , was also interested in many but none of his dates ever worked out .

Most of them got tired of him or weren't his type .

Kyojuro , himself , didnt mind being single .

He had his little brother and a well paid job . He gets all the love he needs from his brother which he has to take care of since his father went to prison after getting into a huge fight while being drunk.

<Goodbye Senjuro! I'll head to work now . Take care!>

Kyojuro said as he left the house to head to the school he works at.

Yep . You all heard it right . He's working at a school . To be exact , he is working as a teacher .

The students love him and he loves his students .

(of course not in a weird way yk)

Work went over rather quickly . All smooth , no fights , nothing Kyojuro couldn't handle . The only bad thing that happened was that he forgot to get his daily coffee at the coffee shop .

The shop wasn't exactly in the safest area of the city but the coffee was just TOO good to not get it there .

The area where the coffee shop is used to be like the coziest part of the city but things have changed over the years and now its known as the shady part of Kyojuro's beloved hometown.

<It's already 17:45pm . I should hurry up so Senjuro won't worry too much>

Kyojuro never went this late into that part of the town .

Yes he was well-build and was able to defend himself with no problem but there still was a chance to get in danger at such hour , especially in such shady and dangerous area as this.

Walking down the streets , Kyojuro got lost in his thoughts .

One block away from the coffee shop Kyojuro suddenly got dragged into a dark ally way .

There he was . A dark haired young man . His eyelashes had an interesting colour . They were much lighter than his hair more like a white-pink-ish tone. He was wearing a plain grey shirt and a mask . His arms had tattoos on . Three stripes to be exact .

'was it destiny ? or just pure coincidence that they met?'

sorry if the characters are really fanon/out of character im not very familliar to their personalitys and just like writing stories.

this was supposed to be uploaded last month but i accidently saved it under my drafts and then didn't really use tumblr so sorry if you've been waiting!

also i'm currently writing more stuff. (update i stopped writing)
