Greetings! 1, 10, and 16 for all your DA protags?
your Warden/Hawke/Inquisitor’s opinion on Orlais?
Gwen Cousland: She definitely absorbed her parents' lingering mistrust of Orlais but had to unlearn some of it when Fergus married Oriana. Seeing how Loghain's resentment towards Orlais leads him to make such catastrophic choices inspires her to question her own biases on the subject. As a monarch, she and Alistair are firm but fair, with very open lines of communication with Celene.
Marian Hawke: Who cares. Not on her radar. Being a Fereldan refugee in Kirkwall makes the whole borders and nations thing seem a bit arbitrary.
Rena Trevelyan: As a Marcher, she doesn't have the same inherent mistrust borne of Orlesian occupation, but her experience at Celene's ball certainly sours her on The Game and the Orlesian nobility's frivolity.
Naalena Adaar: She has trouble at first remembering which southern nations don't get along. Although she turns heads and is the subject of some whispering, she quite enjoys her visits to Val Royeaux. The warm weather is familiar. Politically, she makes decisions on a case by case basis.
10. are they good horse riders?
Gwen Cousland: Yes! As Howe snidely points out, she has received all the same combat training as Fergus.
Marian Hawke: She can manage a farm pony if needed but generally no.
Rena Trevelyan: For leisure, yes, but she gets a hard lesson in combat riding after a few hard falls off her first Fereldan forder.
Naalena Adaar: She struggles with horses and prefers to make use of the more nontraditional mounts in the Skyhold stables.
16. do they get sentimental about their weapons or armour?
Gwen Cousland: Yes, especially what she and Alistair salvaged from Ostagar. Duncan's sword, Maric's armor, the small handful of things she had on her when she left Highever, her warden commander armor--all painstakingly kept.
Marian Hawke: Not her own, but she has a storage chest in her house for her friends' keepsakes, like Wesley's shield.
Rena Trevelyan: No. She wants the best and newest thing Dagna cooked up and everyone else gets to enjoy her castoffs.
Naalena Adaar: Not especially.

Rena is so tired, she knows anything she says won’t help so she just stays silent. Years under the Qun made it easy to hide her emotions from even the most discerning eyes.

One thing I'm thinking about a lot is Rena's expierience with magic.
As I said before she has magic related trauma. She was a leader of her group in her Tal-Vashoth times. She saw many of her people murdered by magic. And she knows she is also a murderer, but she thinks killing with any kind of weapon is less cruel than anything she saw can be done with magic (I'm not saying she's right, just what she thinks is true).
She isn't radical, but: 1. she doesn't trust mages 2. she thinks templars are needed and doing good job, altough they have their flaws.
So - she doesn't really like Solas, but he's smart and he's helping (she took him to templars base in hope they will get rid of him for her tho). Dorian? He run to warn them and helped fighting against other mages. He also can stay for now. But when Vivienne almost killed a guy with magic at Rena's eyes, and was all playful about it... Instant red flag. No thank you, we don't need your help.
And also that means she is so freakin scared of green mark on her hand. She doesn't want it. That's her main purpouse - get rid of it. Everything else that's happening? Side effects.
She just happens to be very good at commanding people. Like it's in her blood.

I generally prefer playing warriors in Dragon Age, but it’s very true to the characters of my inquisitors that my shrimpy warrior Trevelyan screamed and ran from every dragon she saw but my mage Adaar just killed all 10 high dragons

Multi!Inquisitor AU
Rena Trevelyan, human warrior
Specialization: Sword and shield; champion
Appearance: A wiry, somewhat awkward woman with tan skin, freckles, and brown hair. Her eyes were turned rift-green after contact with Corypheus’s orb. She’s obviously been on the losing end of many a fight with her badly broken nose and scars. For a while, she is positioned as the face of the Inquisition, and Joesphine makes her wear heavy makeup, including bright green eye shadow all around her eyes to give the impression that they glow.
Personality: Constantly on the edge of a nervous breakdown but determined to get everyone else through alive and well. She is loyal to a fault and sometimes a little too understanding of her companions’ flaws.
Closest friends: Varric, Iron Bull
Romance: Cullen
Terisin Lavellan, elven warrior
Specialization: Two-handed sword; reaver
Appearance: Surprisingly strong and tall for an elf, with very pale skin and black hair. His eyes are golden and his vallaslin, which are dark blue, honor Mythal. He’s considered something of a pretty boy.
Personality: Brusque to the point of rudeness with high expectations to boot. He’s been through hell and back and doesn’t have time for your nonsense.
Closest friends: Vivienne and Cullen
Romance: Cassandra
Naalena Adaar, qunari mage
Specialization: lightning and fire magic; rift mage
Appearance: An extremely sturdy qunari with grey skin, fiery red hair, electric blue eyes, and gold caps on her curling horns. When she wants to look intimidating--which she chooses to do a lot--she lets electricity crackle between her horn caps and crosses her arms to show off her strength. Most people who have only seen her from a distance are surprised to learn that she’s a mage and not a warrior. She likes to wear makeup.
Personality: Sarcastic, although her words only hold real bite if you’ve insulted her (or called her the Herald of Andraste). Mostly she jokes with her companions to keep the mood light. She’s not afraid to stand her ground on any issue she deems important, which is all of them.
Closest friends: Blackwall, Dorian, and Cole
Romance: Josephine
Edric Cadash, dwarven rogue
Specialization: Archer; ???
Appearance: A round-faced bearded man with brown skin and reddish brown hair. His hair is always intricately braided and tied out of his face. He is scarred, but the scars are old. He’s often flushed from laughing.
Personality: Jovial, kind, and always laughing. All the terrible things he has experienced can’t dampen his heart. He’s older than the other three Inquisitors and they often turn to him for advice and comfort.
Closest friends: Sera and Dorian
Romance: Iron Bull

my warrior Trevelyan: “okay Cullen, you can’t talk about mages like that. Let’s sit down together and talk through how your experiences have informed your perceptions of mages and why I, as leader of the inquisition, will not allow that fear to drive my decisions, and how we can maintain the favor of the chantry while also treating mages with compassion. Great good talk I value your friendship”
my mage Adaar, towering over Cullen with arms crossed and electricity crackling from her horns: “are we going to have a problem, tiny man?”
