Subjectivity, desire, affect, and the unconscious on performance art
Certainly, here are a few examples of performance art that explore new forms of subjectivity, desire, affect, and the unconscious:
New Forms of Subjectivity - One example of performance art that explores new forms of subjectivity is Marina Abramović's "The Artist is Present." In this work, Abramović sat silently and motionless in the Museum of Modern Art in New York for three months, inviting visitors to sit across from her and make eye contact. The work was a meditation on the nature of presence and the construction of subjectivity, and it challenged viewers to question their own perceptions of themselves and others.
New Forms of Desire - Another example of performance art that explores new forms of desire is Catherine Opie's "Self-Portraits." In these works, Opie photographs herself in a variety of poses and costumes, subverting traditional notions of gender and sexuality, and challenging viewers to question their own desires and perceptions.
New Forms of Affect - An example of performance art that explores new forms of affect is Remy Jungerman's "Everywhere and Nowhere." In this work, Jungerman creates large-scale installations that incorporate elements of Caribbean and African spirituality, challenging viewers to engage with their emotions and spiritual experiences in new ways.
New Forms of the Unconscious - An example of performance art that explores new forms of the unconscious is Tania Bruguera's "Tatlin's Whisper #6." In this work, Bruguera invited participants to stand in a public square and whisper a political message into each other's ear, creating a collective unconsciousness and challenging viewers to question the role of the unconscious in political activism.

Politieke kunstcorrectheid
Politieke kunstcorrectheid!
