HI ANON and its okay >< not everyone gotta have those songs but i took a listen to fireflies n hmmmmm this song rlly gives me dan heng vibes

like look at his room, the floor tiles, the shelves, the desktop, his bed. dan heng to me comes across as the guy who doesn't sleep early. half the time, if you're up and walking around the cabin, trying to make tea or coffee or just get water, best believe half the time you'll be met with a "why are you still up?" or a "hey"

he'll sometimes invite you to his room where OK LETS IMAGINE his floors can be customized to whatever he wants. so sometimes when you enter his room, it'll be in the shades of blue, dark blue in fact, calm navy waves swirling below you as you take in the cool air that hits your face.

he'll have you wait by the side as he adjusts his pillows and all, then calling you over to sit beside him with your hot drink in hand. you'll talk about those trips that he didn't get to join in, the weird shower thoughts you have, his random thoughts, and sometimes, he'll even share his secrets because he puts his faith in you, much more that he had anticipated.

your talks would go on for hours and hours and it'll just end up being a sleepover. like it'll all start with a

"come, let's lay down and talk, my back's tired."

then suddenly you'll be faced with a soft smile on his face accompanied by half lidded eyes, and a "good morning."

and, you'll be standing in front of March 7 who has a big smile on her face and also a "good morning." already giggling at the sight of the two of you huddled together at the morning's coldness.

another scenario is that when he'll have nightmares of blade haunting him, reminding him of dan feng's sins. if he's ever woken up by those nightmares the night before, the night after he'll have his floors be set to those waves again, or something calming, a relaxing ambient type of setting like rain or the ocean again KSJDHF but! he'll play this song to set his mood before wrapping himself comfortably in his blankets, trying to fall asleep. he'll slowly release the tension around his feet, then legs, letting go of himself in each limb and all the way until he's fallen asleep.

These nights would be somewhat peaceful, ykno sometimes or some ppl, when they've been a night owl for quite some time, and they finally, FINALLY get that 10pm sleep and wake up at 7am??

YEA that's what happens to him during those nights, he'll wake up, feeling even more refreshed and energized, feeling as if he's taken a step forward, ready to start the day again.

Two actually really enjoys himself in the end but he has a habit of wandering off so be careful. He will be flirting with everyone he sees unless you tell him you’re not comfy with that then he’ll stop

Was probably dragged along by soda. If you want him to wear something for the occasion you should sneak into his room the night before and decorate one of his sleeveless denim jackets. he gives me the vibe that he’d rather DIY his outfit rather than buy it.

09. what is your favorite dialogue you’ve written so far?

OOOOH FAVORITE DIALOGUE. this is soooooooo hard bc i love writing dialogue (as if that isn't obvious from the everything about my fics). but i think my favorite dialogue is anything i wrote that i can hear the character say, in their voice. or anything cathilda or aelwyn says (they're some of the most fun characters for me to write). there's only one scene with kipperlilly so far but the dialogue in it stands out to me as some of the most fun i've had writing this fic; any time i get to write older victors (porter, jace, halo, corsica, ellen, zara). i found a few scenes that might qualify for my fave but they ARE all spoilery so you just get this instead. <3

A song everyone should listen to: It's not going to be for everyone, but you're never going to appeal to everyone. But I think that the way Eric Whitacre uses dissonance, dynamics, and words (both lyrically and the actual phonetic sounds) in the song Sleep is something everyone should experience. It's one of my all time favorite choral pieces.

A song by an artist with a voice that I love: How am I only supposed to pick one??? When I really consider vocal tone alone, it's gotta come down to Julie Andrews, Megan Hilty, or Celine Dion. So here's one from each of them. Crazy World from the Victor/Victoria Soundtrack (Julie Andrews). Be a Man by Megan Hilty. All By Myself by Celine Dion. (There's a really cool youtube video dedicated to the significance of the key change in this song, btw, and that's why I picked it. It's not even a top 5 fave for me but that moment is *chefs kiss* Def worth checking out for any Celine fans and/or music nerds.)

Anyone But You -- movie review

summary of plot (no spoilers): a girl named bea ends up coming across this guy named ben at a coffee shop. they hit it off really well and end up having a date that ends with them sleeping (literally, not the spicy no-no way) together. however, bea ends up leaving ben's house without saying anything and this sparks a lot of resentment between the two. they avoid each other for the most part, but they're no longer able to keep their distance when bea's sister and ben's friend end up getting married. now they're being forced to get along while stuck in australia.

general thoughts: if i had to rate it, i'd give it a solid 6.5 or 7 out of ten. it was a feel-good movie and it was pretty wholesome, but nothing special. it also definitely felt like a netflix movie, if that makes sense????? like in the sense that it would've been easier to read if it was a fanfic on wattpad, y'know?????? and if i had to recommend this to anyone, i'd only recommend it to people who either enjoy cringey-but-charming rom-coms or a group of drunk people. it probably would've been a lot funnier to watch while intoxicated honestly.

the characters are like. charming but also meh???? cuz they're all flat?????? and normally i'd like to appreciate the background characters but you're given so little about them that it's hard to really attach to them. like there are some scenes that i honestly thought were funny as hell and really enjoyed, but it was only ever like small quips, y'know????? it never lasted for the whole show so it was hard to actually become emotional about them. those small clips did still make it enjoyable to watch though.

there were emotional scenes because it's a rom-com obviously, but personally i couldn't really attach onto it that much?? it's not like they were poorly executed, it just. was kinda meh??? kinda mid?????? it felt very tell-not-show and when they were over i just kinda felt like "oh okay we're past that then." it wasn't bad but it wasn't good either????? so that's my take on the emotional scenes.

for the actual characters, ben and bea were like. meh? like, i enjoyed watching them (because the whole movie is about them, duh), but i didn't really care for them that much. i personally didn't like bea because she reminded me too much of y/n fanfics but that was just a me thing. she was a pretty decent character overall, i guess? nothing special though. same with ben. i liked ben a little more because he had some pretty funny lines that his actor pulled off pretty well, but i didn't exactly care that much for him? they were both just. y'know, basic mid couple.

i was also less inclined to like them because how the plot was handled overall. aND THIS IS SPECIFICALLY BECAUSE OF THE WHOLE MARRIAGE THING GOING ON?????? THEY LEGITIMATELY DO JUST SHOW UP AND TAKE OVER THEIR FRIENDS' WEDDING. WHICH IN A REAL LIFE SITUATION WOULD BE BAFFLING AND RUDE AS HELL, YKNOW????? the background characters honestly had some pretty damn good lines. for the most part, a LOT of the dialogue didn't really land (mainly because either the line could've been written better or because the acting just didn't match up with the line), but there were a lot of clips that actually had me laughing. also beau (there's a lot of B names, i have no idea why) was funny as hell to me. he's just a little surfer guy and yk what good for him good for him.

als the ending scenes with everyone singing was honestly super wholesome. that was probably the best part of the whole movie, and probably the most emotional one tbh. it was really neat to watch, at least for me.

credits song was also peak. a lotta the music was nice, very much feel-good vibes. a lil cheesy but it was the kinda cheesy that's just cringey enough to come off as charming. the heteros were gettin a lil concerning but yk what its okay i forgive them they have good music taste at least.

i can't think of what else to put here. if you're into watching shitty movies that are just good enough to not be completely shitty, then this is a good movie for you. it wasn't entirely my thing, but i don't regret watching it. it got me through doing my algebra homework at least.

So I’ve recently had a gender identity crisis (haven’t we all) (I just realized that sounds like I’ve resolved the gender identity crisis, hahaHAH NOPE, I wish) and realized that I’m not female, I’m a mix of non-binary and male and female. And with that now known, I realized my name is far too feminine and doesn’t suit me regardless, so I’m gonna change my name. I’ve gathered a list of names in case one of y’all is also looking for names, so here ya go!

Cloud = good name, airy, no nickname that I can think of

Dawn = also good name (all the names here are good names tbh), sweet, airy, no nicknames

Snap = good name (I’m gonna stop saying this since it’s obvious), original, can be airy but can be down to earth, no nicknames, symbolism

Cotton = airy, nicknames (cot [ton if you were adventurous]), kinda airy ig

Sigil = soft, can be nicknamed Sig if you rlly want that, kind of mysterious but in a nice kind of way, pretty unique

Briar = planty, nickname (Bri), good symbolism (rose thorns)

Dewdrop = soft, sweet, nicknames (Dew and Drop)

Ivy = also planty, no nicknames, versatile

Chaos = no nicknames, fun, symbolic, can give people an idea of who you are, ✨unique✨
