I am wincing at some of these asks people are sending regarding Edelgard- you all know that disagreeing with a headcanon doesn't warrant listing 60 reasons why it's wrong and trying to persuade the one who made it that you're right? I don't agree with all the headcanons here either, but nonetheless I also enjoy seeing different points of view bc it fascinates me how a given character(s) can affect people so differently. Basically please be mature, y'all. It's not that deep.

Sometimes people just want to argue.  I get that: it’s the internet, the trolls’ playground and the flamers’ paradise.  The thing I always try to make clear is that I don’t claim to be right with anything: everything I post is a personal opinion that I gathered from information available to me, mostly from firsthand gameplay in the case of 3H (I logged 730 hours in 2019, I had a time).  People don’t need to agree with me, since it’s my personal interpretation of the facts presented -- which is also why I like to remind people that they never have to engage with me and my stuff, I’m easily blocked and I’m specifically tagging it to ensure that people can blacklist and effectively curate their own experiences.

Personally, I’m very much in the ‘dislike, disengage’ camp when it comes to stuff that doesn’t jive with me.  I always think different takes are interesting, and sometimes reading a post or an answer or a thread can give me new insights into my own opinions or change my feelings toward something entirely.  That’s the beauty of fandom!  Everyone has their own takes on things and their own opinions, and we share them and help them grow, take pieces to incorporate into our own understandings for a new way of seeing things!  If I personally disagree with something, I move on.  If there’s something I really don’t like?  I blacklist the tag.  If it’s not tagged, I unfollow so I don’t have to see it.  I curate my own experience for my mental health as much as my personal enjoyment, because it’s incredibly entitled to demand everyone else to change when I’m the only one who really has control over the situation; and I always encourage others to do the same, which is why i do my best on tagging.
