Hiiiii I am still hyper fixated on Adamandi and I HAVE to ask to make sure (because I might've forgotten, unfortunate ADHD brain) — how is Adamandi pronounced?

I say "Adam-and-ee" but I also have only been making it up as I go and really just wanna know how to pronounce what I'm hyper fixated on.

Aaaaaand if you're still answering silly facts and don't mindddd, what're the favorite ice cream flavors of the Adamandi characters?

Adamandi is pronounced more-or-less with the Classical Latin (as opposed to Ecclesiatical Latin) pronunciation. This would make it ah-duh-MAN-dee (or, for a more detailed pronunciation guide -- at least in an American accent: "ah" (like the "o" in "opera") - "duh" (like the "du" in "duck") - MAHN (like the "mon" in "monster") - dee (like the "dy" in "scaredy").)

Quincy also pronounces it correctly in the end of I Hate And I Love ("Ego Adamandi, falling in love, apart.") if you want to hear it said out loud!

(Superhero Shenannigans - First Issue!)

The How Do We Stack Up series by ToDefineIsToLimit Superhero/College AU (Moxiety, Roceit) Rating: M When Logan develops telepathy he learns that several others in his social group possess powers as well. When his roommate Roman becomes insistent upon pursuing the role of a hero, Logan decides the safest solution is setting him up with a nemesis he can trust... Notes: In which Logan herds his superpowered friendgroup like cats, and much drama is to be had. I keep meaning to give this one a proper re-read, because it's absolutely one of my favorites. Also, Patton's arc is insane.

The Heroes and Villains series by LadyoftheWoods Superhero AU (Gen) Rating: T The Duke has a brutal reputation for destroying the heroes that try to take him down, but recently a young spitfire called Tempest has won a nugget of his esteem. When his young nemesis comes crawling to him, injured and seeking after the Duke's unkindly "mercy", he's ready to raise hell getting to the bottom of it. Notes: As soon as I started thinking about doing a list of Superhero fics, I knew I had to find this one again. As in, I took hours out of my day to trawl through AO3 looking for it. Like Virgil whump? Like protective Remus and Janus? Like reunions and characters coming together to challenge the system? Just...it's good, okay?

The Ping Verse by SoDoRoses (FairyChess) Superhero AU (Dukeceit, LAMP) Rating: M There is no easy life in this world for powered people. The best some can hope for is to find a role within the system and try to play by its rules. Fighting against it is even harder, but for some the fight is worth it. Notes: An incredibly layered superhero dystopia piled to the brim with feeling. The primary fic in the series (which centers on an intricate and nerve-wracking time loop scenario) is still a WIP, but it looks like it's only about a chapter away from coming to a close.

The Rescues of an Annoyed Scientist: Heroes Sides AU by GeminiMoon Superhero AU (Gen) Rating: T Logan is a brilliant but otherwise average, unpowered scientist who nonetheless keeps finding himself in the path of superpowered threats. Fortunately, there always seems to be someone there to save the day. Notes: In which Logan can't seem to escape getting into Situations, but he also can't seem to come out of one without making some friends.

Don't Make Me Be The Bad Guy by VintageSnakes Superhero AU (Moceit) Rating: T Following the defeat and capture of his team's long-standing nemesis, Deceit, Patton comes across some new information. Left struggling with uncomfortable doubt, he now has questions that only one person might be able to answer... Notes: Another enjoyable superhero dystopia in which Patton learns some ugly truths about the world he lives in and has to make a choice.

Come Now, Little Prince by TheAsexualofSpades Superhero AU (Gen, Roceit, Dukeceit) Rating: G After an incident results in the death of a criminal he was pursuing, Roman is injured and mid-breakdown when he decides to throw himself upon the mercy of an enemy who had once offered him a way out of the game. Notes: Some high-proof Hurt/Comfort. Roman has Trauma and Janus has his hands full keeping him from falling apart.

The Serpent's Snakelets by ChillyKrow Superhero AU (Gen, Anxceit) Rating: T Supervillain by name, philanthropist by action, the Serpent has a lot of plates spinning, most of them full. But that doesn't mean he's about to look the other way when two teens start to frequent the soup kitchen he runs under his civilian identity, clearly in need of some help. Notes: I love this one for the amount of thought and detail that has gone into what Janus is actually doing with his operation. And also what one can actually get away with as a shapeshifter with enough cunning and the right resources.

It's Over Now by remembermeeternally Superhero AU (Gen, Loceit) Rating: G Sent against a villain far above his power to fight, the last thing Roman was expecting was mercy. Or refuge. Or comfort. Or...adoption? Notes: In which, once Janus and his husband learn about the depths of the neglect that his young heroes-in-training have been subjected to, he isn't about to give them back. Consensual kidnapping ensues.

I wanted to be seen by logically_asexual Superhero AU (Loceit) Rating: T Separated from the rest of his team, Logan finds himself confronted by the supervillain, Deceit, resulting in a wager that Logan is sure must turn out in his favor. After all, his teammates wouldn't actually leave him behind... Notes: In which Logan deserves much better and Janus is more than happy to offer it.

Leave All Your Heroes Behind by Magpie_Crow Superhero AU (Gen) Rating: G Patton is an ordinary man, living a rather ordinary life. The most extraordinary thing about him is his job: He works for Make-A-Wish, making arrangements so that children can have their final wishes fulfilled. Then, one day, a child makes the request to meet the notorious villains known as the Terror Twins. But Patton isn't about to let one of his kiddos down if he can help it. Notes: I love stories about regular people who live in superhero settings. You know this sort of thing would happen. And this is just such a sweet story...

Unfortunately, the only people capable of offering the protection he needs are the very supervillains he and Atlas have been fighting... Notes: I need to reread/catch-up with this one, because I lost track of it for a while, but it's so good...

I want to write a fanfic where Virgil and Remus grow up in a really Christian community and Virgil is like kinda Christian but not really, and Remus has totally given up on that whole thing, and since Virgil's parents are really homophobic and low-key abusive and Remus' are just neglectful shitheads, they run away together when they turn eighteen. Remus doesn't have contact with his mom's side of the family because they're, like, idk lesbians or something stupid but his brother lives there so they run away there and start a new life and it's really emotionally exhausting for them but they still do it because they want to be together and in love. Virgil gets a job at the mall and Remus works towards being a mortician. They move out into an apartment together; it is spooky. They adopt a cat named Elvira. Neither think they're parent material but they're willing to babysit Roman's kid and take her on playdates. They grow into old alt people who protect others at shows and tell people acting foolish to fuck off. Virgil passes first, when they're old and have embraced the grey, and Remus passes within a week later. Both asleep, both holding their matching wedding rings, hands overtop the ring to hold it.

How would all the Sides have died and what era would they be from? I have ideas and thoughts but if anyone, literally ANYONE in the fandom sees this and wants to weigh in, I'm begging for more ideas. I love hearing people's interpretations because, as we know with the show, there is no "oh that's too far back in history" :))) the more creative the era/vibe for the Side and especially the more creative the death and ghost power, the happier of a boy I am

Y E S!!!! I fucking L O V E Ghosts so I'm immediately sold!!! (I've only watched the CBS version and only a bit of the BBC version due to it being hard to find episodes legally for BBC since it's older XD) But it definitely has S O much potential as an AU/Fic!!! Now I'm not quite sure for powers and deaths at the moment but era wise I feel like Ro and Ree: Medieval Times, Jan: Victorian era, Vee late 2000s (Myspace is deader than him), Patt: 80s, and Lo: Maybe 90s?

Minorly Triggering Content Ahead Since Everyone is Dead ✨✨✨

SO FAR, SUBJECT TO CHANGE:

Logan — died in the industrial revolution but before the overhaul of the sanitisation and cleanliness factor. He got ill, got an infection or something. Doctors tried to treat it but their methods were unclean because of the era it was in and he ended up dying due to illness. He can cause machines to stop working (inspired by his original death, which was falling into a machine at a factory and being killed by it)

Janus — died in the 1920s. He was a businessman who was mafia adjacent and he was poisoned by someone who worked for him. He respects it, killing the head of a business (him) from the inside but he's pressed. He was in the middle of his career. Excuse you. He was going to be great. His power is disguising himself as other people, canon inspired. No other ghost can do this like the other sides can in canon.

Remus — died in the late thirties and he was a serial killer. I needed a reason for him to be weird as fuck, to be so real with you. He's like "oh I forgive myself" but everyone else is like. brother. my brother in Christ. no. Nobody knows how he died (except Logan and Janus, but they won't talk about it) but he tells a different story every time Thomas asks. His power is the canon "drown everyone out and listen only to me" thing.

Roman — died in the 1940s, a few years after his brother. He was an actor, a really fucking good one who was getting to the height of his fame!, but then a prop on stage malfunctioned :) either a gun going off or a sword stabbing when it shouldn't have. The last thing he ever saw were the red curtains above him as he died on stage. It was horrifying for everyone involved. He's now a superstition in theaters about checking your props more than once. His power is the ability to mimic sounds, songs, voices, whatever. He's very annoying with it.

Patton — died in the 1980s. He was a dad :) and he had a very normal death. Everyone else died tragically but he just had a heart attack. He was in his forties or so, just a dad, just a dude, and he had a heart attack due to an unknown heart condition. He misses his kids kind of a lot but oh well. He's able to cause those intense nostalgic feelings (inspired by the Moving On episodes) and because of that, he can bring up memories people forgot about.

Virgil — died in the late 2000s. He was murdered in a home invasion protecting his family. He was only a young man living with his parents and siblings but it was a whole event. Because of this, he's up often at night watching over the manor so nobody tries to break in. His power is the canon voice thing he does, where it echoes and deepens. It also gets louder. In his mind, if he shouted louder, shouted for his parents just a bit louder, he would still be alive and his family wouldn't be traumatized.

Roman makes fun of how Logan died by an infection, Logan reminds him of how he died. Roman gets mad. The ghosts are fighting again.

Patton's power works on ghosts, Remus' doesn't. Remus is pressed, but everyone else is thankful.

Janus will sometimes pretend to be another ghost to fool Thomas. That's how they meet actually. Thomas gets good at picking them apart.

I'm late by two days! And I haven't even been here much recently! Which is unfortunate but y'know school and choosing a college and anxiety and all that. How fun! However!

As of two days ago, it was my one year anniversary as an anon on here, in which I said Whore by Get Scared is such a dukexiety boys song. What a time. What an ask. I still stand by that y'know.
