BIO:
Born and raised in small town Woodstock, Vermont, Finn Leigh Sullivan, or "Sully", grew up in an old modest home surrounded by beautiful foliage come autumn. His mother was a florist, his father worked in construction, and Sully was the first born. His parents were hard workers, which ultimately caused Sully to grow up a little too quickly in order to take care of his younger siblings. His relationship with his parents was complicated, at best. He was very close to his mother, often helping her in the floral shop whenever he could. Though he and his father weren't on the greatest terms, Sully always strangely respected him. His father had lost dreams of becoming a professional boxer after an injury in his twenties sent him on a different path. It seemed that failure had a lasting impact on the man. If he wasn't being bitter, he was normally drinking his sorrows away. Sully and him often butted heads, his father often pointing out that Sully was far too soft, but there were rare moments in between where they connected to one another.
He was a sensitive child who rather spend his time curating floral arrangements with his mother, laughing till his sides hurt, and being kind to those around him. The only thing he and his father ever bonded over was his father's record collection. When Sully was younger, he often drew him pictures of his own versions of album covers. In his teen years, it seemed as his father's depression and addictions grew, so did Sully's. He took to drugs, partying, and fighting just to prove he wasn't the soft kid he once was. It was a miracle at all that Sully managed to finish high school by the skin of his teeth.
The day everything changed for him and his family was the day his father passed. Suicide. Though he had all the signs to see it coming, Sully was shocked. He never realized how deep his depression was, though it started to all make sense when Sully thought back on all the nasty parts of his late father. None of the family got along perfectly with his father, but that didn't stop their grieving. Sully took a hard look at himself and knew he needed to get his life together in sudden fear that he had the same fate as his father.
Though he suffered the loss of a father, he gained a new perspective on life and now knew there was nothing wrong with being soft. He ditched all the drugs and cleaned up before getting some community college under his belt. He took his passion for art and design and turned it into a freelance graphic design gig. He eventually moved out of his childhood home, but simply opted for a small apartment just a few blocks away. He has dinner with his mother and siblings almost every night he could and spent most of his free time in his mother’s floral shop, tending to patrons and creating pieces for her to sell. He's a lover at heart and not a fighter like his father hoped he would be. Maybe there was nothing wrong about being soft.
